Saras and Kumud : The episode begins with Budhidhan making a heartfelt request to Saras. Though tense, Saras agrees. Alak wonders what will happen next. As Budhidhan and Alak leave, Saras contemplates his promise, worrying about how he will face Vidyachatur, Guniyal, and Badimaa.

Scene Shifts to Kumud:

Kumari and Kusum chat with Kumud, teasing her, but she remains silent. Badimaa sends them outside, wanting to talk to Kumud alone. Kumud pretends to be happy, but Badimaa sees through her facade. When asked to share her pain, Kumud breaks down, revealing that Pramad drinks excessively. Meanwhile, Pramad drinks with Umesh.

Badimaa realizes the rumors were true and grows concerned. Kumud bravely shares everything—Pramad never accepted her as his wife and was forced into marriage. He considers her a burden. Shocked, Badimaa asks if there’s another woman in his life. Kumud replies that his rejection is what truly matters.

She breaks down in Badimaa’s arms, who comforts her and questions why she hid her suffering. Badimaa insists that Kumud cannot stay in such an environment, but Kumud refuses to leave. She believes her love and patience might change Pramad. Feeling betrayed by both Saras and Pramad, she questions if she is even worthy of love. Badimaa reassures her that neither of them deserved her.

Kumud is determined to accept her fate and change her destiny. Badimaa, though heartbroken, supports her. She reminisces about her own struggles with Kumari’s father and wishes things could be different. Kumud asks her to keep this secret from her parents.

Meanwhile, Saras Struggles with His Feelings:

In his room, Saras is lost in thought. Kalika approaches, offering to “help” him as she does for Pramad, clearly flirting. She taunts him about his concern for Kumud. Saras, angered, tells her to leave. Kalika smirks and remarks that he will soon be visiting Kumud’s house. Saras orders her out, but her words linger.

Back at Kumud’s House:

Kumud recalls her mother’s advice—to accept Pramad completely. She reaffirms her decision. Late at night, a drunk Pramad sneaks into the house through a window, calling for Kumud. Startled, she rushes to him and realizes he’s intoxicated. He angrily confronts her about Saraswatichandra, shocking Kumud.

Pramad laughs mockingly as Kumud pleads with him to stop. The commotion wakes the family. Pramad, still intoxicated, calls everything a “drama” before collapsing. Everyone is stunned.

Saras, on his way to Kumud’s house, recalls past moments—Vidyachatur’s trust, Kumud’s promise. As he arrives in Ratnagiri, he hesitates, fearing his presence will make things worse. However, he finally steps out of the car and approaches the house.

Inside, Vidyachatur is devastated, realizing the truth about Pramad. He regrets his decision, but Kumud reassures him, saying it was her fate, not his fault. She vows to fix her marriage, believing in the strength he has given her. Vidyachatur is heartbroken, questioning why she must suffer. Kumud insists she is not compromising but trying to change her situation. She asks for his blessings.

Though reluctant, Vidyachatur eventually agrees, making her promise to never hide anything from them again. Badimaa supports Kumud, reminding Vidyachatur of her strength. As Kumud hugs Badimaa and cries, Saras watches everything from outside, unseen.

Vidyachatur, overwhelmed with guilt, confesses to Guniyal that he feels responsible for ruining both Kumud and Badimaa’s lives. He trusted Saras, and now Kumud is trapped in another painful marriage. Guniyal and Saras, from a distance, listen as he breaks down. Kusum observes from the terrace.

Saras blames himself, believing he has caused Kumud’s suffering. Standing near the lake where his mother died, he reflects on his failures. He silently apologizes to his mother, acknowledging that he has hurt so many people.

At the same time, Kumud’s family reminds her of her childhood Independence Day celebrations. They admire her achievements. Meanwhile, Saras, lost in thought, enters the lake, mourning his mother’s death.

As he meditates in the water, mantras play in the background. Resolving to rectify everything, Saras makes a solemn promise—within 30 days, he will ensure that Kumud’s marriage to Pramad succeeds. This is Saraswatichandra’s vow.
