Saras and Kumud: The episode begins with Kusum confronting Saras, demanding that he leave and never return to Kumud’s life. Saras acknowledges that he should go but insists he needs Kusum’s help, as he cannot bear to see Kumud suffer. Meanwhile, Kumud confides in Pramad, revealing the truth about Saras and his mother. She explains that Saras’ mother took her own life after discovering her husband’s affair, a betrayal that shattered Saras. Pramad scoffs at this, taunting Kumud, saying that if she truly loved him, she would have reacted the same way upon learning about his involvement with Kalika. Kumud remains firm, stating she has answered his questions. Pramad laughs and takes another drink.

Kusum, determined to help her sister, vows to put an end to Kumud’s troubles. As Kumud discards a bottle of wine, Kalika observes her, feeling jealous of the shift in Pramad’s attention since Kumud’s arrival. She tries to provoke Kumud by hinting at Kusum’s prolonged presence in Saras’ room, but Kumud stands her ground, warning Kalika that if she continues meddling, she will expose her relationship with Pramad to the entire household. Kalika retaliates, asserting that she has been with Pramad for thirteen years and will never leave him. Kusum overhears this shocking revelation.

Later, Kusum questions Kumud about Kalika’s words, expressing disbelief that Kumud tolerates Pramad’s drinking and Kalika’s disrespect. Meanwhile, Kalika attempts to plant suspicion in Pramad’s mind about Kumud and Saras by bringing up a kamarbandh (waistband) she found in Saras’ room. However, Pramad dismisses her claims, attributing the mix-up to Kusum. Frustrated, Kalika persists, but Pramad remains uninterested.

The next morning, Kumud performs the morning aarti, and Pramad’s mother reminds her that it is both Lord Krishna’s and Pramad’s birthday. At breakfast, Kusum searches for Saras but accidentally refers to him by his real name instead of his alias, Navinchandra, raising Murakh Das’s curiosity. Pramad’s mother praises Kumud’s qualities, while Pramad, provoked by his father’s sarcastic remark about his drinking habits, angrily leaves the table. Saras follows him, and Budhidhan expresses confidence that Saras will keep Pramad in check.

As Pramad and Saras travel to the city together, Pramad asks Saras about his past and love life. Saras vaguely responds, saying he once loved someone but ended up breaking both their hearts. Pramad insists on stopping at a roadside eatery for drinks, despite Saras’ reluctance. Meanwhile, Kumud and Pramad’s mother prepare for the Krishna Janmashtami celebrations, with Kumud promising to ensure Pramad refrains from drinking.

At the dhaba, Pramad reveals his suspicions about Kumud’s lingering feelings for Saraswatichandra. He drunkenly claims that Kumud still mourns the man who left her and suggests that Kumud’s meals are meant for Saraswatichandra rather than him. Saras remains composed, urging Pramad to eat. However, when Pramad mentions Inspector Solanki, Saras is momentarily startled but quickly covers up his reaction. Pramad then orders Saras to investigate Kumud’s past with Saraswatichandra and report back to him. Saras refuses, infuriating Pramad, who stops the car and punches him. Saras, bleeding but composed, resists retaliating, remembering Kumud’s plea to avoid conflict.

Back at the house, Kalika sneaks into Saras’ room, determined to uncover his secret. She rummages through his belongings, convinced that she is close to exposing him. Meanwhile, Pramad, still intoxicated and filled with suspicion, continues pressing Saras for answers about Kumud’s past, unknowingly standing face to face with the very man he seeks—Saraswatichandra himself.
