Jhanak update Monday 17 March 2025

Jhanak:  The episode begins with Anuradha performing aarti for Appu. She then invites Kajal to stay for a meal, but Kajal declines, saying she’s feeling sleepy and has school the next day.

Anuradha suggests she take a couple of days off, while Lalon encourages her to skip school and have fun instead. Kajal insists that her work is her priority, leaving Lalon puzzled by her response.

As Appu enters the house, Chimli stops Lalon and demands money before allowing him inside. Anuradha and Appu join in, playfully asking for money as well.

Lalon finally gives in and hands them ₹5000. Appu happily tells them to enjoy their celebration, while Kajal insists on leaving. Anuradha reminds her that some wedding rituals are still pending. One of the family members suggests that Lalon and Appu should sing, but Appu, feeling tired, says she wants to rest.

Anuradha convinces her to stay awake for a few more ceremonies. Kajal reminds them that traditionally, only the bride’s family stays up, not the groom’s. Lalon insists that he isn’t tired and allows Appu to rest while he stays awake. Anuradha then invites everyone for a meal.

Meanwhile, a lady comments that Appu looks beautiful but has heard that she is unwell. Lalon defends Appu, saying she is perfectly fine, although her own family believes otherwise.

He emphasizes that Appu has a kind heart, which is why he chose her as his life partner. Kajal makes a sarcastic remark, but Lalon firmly states that he knows Appu’s true worth. Anuradha then asks Chimli to distribute sweets. Appu offers them to everyone, and Lalon assures her that she will soon feel comfortable in their home.

Appu, with a smile, says she has no problem adjusting. Anuradha blesses her, while Kajal again tries to leave. However, Anuradha insists that she must eat before leaving. Lalon and Appu also ask Kajal to stay, but she resists.

Appu sweetly tells her that she is only angry because she’s upset and insists that everyone listens to her, so Kajal must too. Eventually, Kajal gives in, agreeing to stay and eat. Appu is delighted and declares that Kajal is now her “Kajal Didi,” who will recite poems and tell her stories.

The next morning, Choton and Jhanak arrive at the house. Anuradha warmly welcomes them. Jhanak informs everyone that she is leaving for Mumbai that day and wanted to see them before she left.

Choton explains that Jhanak has work commitments in Mumbai. Lalon recalls that Jhanak once invited them to visit her there, and she happily welcomes the idea.

Jhanak then mentions that some people had tried to frame Lalon, and she advises him to investigate the matter. Lalon brushes it off, saying that he has work to focus on.

Choton offers to help, but Lalon remains uninterested. Jhanak reminds him that the police commissioner had saved him from serious trouble the previous day, urging him to take action.

Anuradha agrees, saying that Lalon’s father helped many people in the past, which is why they received help in return. She has already asked for an investigation into the real culprits, but Lalon says he will deal with it later.

Just then, a girl announces that Appu is getting ready, and Anuradha mentions that Kajal has woken her up. Choton remarks that it’s a good thing since Appu needs to adjust to changes.

Anuradha insists that Appu is perfect the way she is and doesn’t need to change. Meanwhile, Anirudh and Mrinalini arrive. Anirudh introduces Mrinalini to the family.

Jhanak greets her warmly, saying that it’s good she came, as Appu had been upset and wanted to see her. She playfully teases Mrinalini about Choton.

Mrinalini responds that she cares about everyone, which is why she came. Appu then enters, excitedly asking if she looks good. She hugs Choton and the others.

Anirudh hands her a chocolate. Appu then questions Mrinalini about why she didn’t attend her wedding. Mrinalini apologizes and hugs her. Kajal tells Appu to cheer up, saying that her family is finally with her.

However, Appu becomes emotional, saying that she didn’t see her mother’s face in the morning, which made her sad. She adds that her mother must be feeling sad too. Choton reassures her that her mother will visit her soon.

Anuradha then informs everyone that Meghla and Adrija will be arriving soon. She explains that Meghla’s father was a friend of Pranay and that her parents will visit in the evening.

Appu quickly requests that Jhanak and Mrinalini stay longer and not leave. Soon, Meghla and Adrija arrive. Lalon fondly remembers that Meghla used to sing beautifully. Anuradha introduces them to Appu’s family.

Meghla then looks at Jhanak and says that she has seen her somewhere before. Appu excitedly reveals that Jhanak is a television personality. Meghla recalls seeing her in an advertisement.

Adrija, however, remembers that Jhanak lost in a competition and asks who won. Jhanak hesitates as she recalls the contest.

Meghla compliments Jhanak’s dancing skills. Jhanak graciously thanks her and admits that Arshi was the winner while she had lost, but she chooses not to dwell on it. However, she expresses interest in hearing Meghla sing.

Meghla agrees but insists that Jhanak must dance while she sings. Jhanak, smiling, accepts the challenge.
