Jhanak update Tuesday 18 March 2025

Jhanak: The episode begins with Meghla singing Saajan Aayo Re, while Jhanak dances and notices Anirudh. Everyone applauds, and Jhanak compliments Meghla on her singing. Adrija remarks that singing is all Meghla does. Anuradha introduces Meghla as Appu’s Nanand (sister-in-law), and Appu invites Meghla to visit often, mentioning that she also sings a little.

Meghla acknowledges this, saying Lalon had told her about it. Meanwhile, Kajal brings sindoor and a saree. Anuradha instructs Jhimli to hand it to Lalon as part of a ritual, where he must promise to take responsibility for Appu. Lalon completes the ritual, vowing to take care of Appu. Kajal, visibly upset, watches the scene unfold. As the ritual concludes, Anuradha asks Appu to touch Lalon’s feet for blessings, which she does. Kajal hugs Appu before leaving abruptly.

Later, Meghla inquires about Jhanak’s future plans, and Jhanak reveals she is heading to Mumbai to explore work opportunities. Choton offers to drop her off, but she refuses, opting for a cab instead. Anirudh insists on dropping her, but Jhanak declines, stating she only ever asked for love, nothing else. Before leaving, she hugs Appu and Mrinalini. Anirudh is puzzled by Jhanak’s earlier accusations and wonders if she is trying to protect Aditya.

At the function, Appu enjoys time with her family and expresses appreciation for Anuradha’s kindness. She admits to never having been away from Anjana, who reassures her. Bablu compliments Appu on her appearance, and she admits to missing Jhanak. Dadi urges Lalon to bring Appu home, but he refuses, only agreeing to visit the next day. Anjana checks on Appu’s well-being, and Appu introduces and praises Kajal.

Meanwhile, Dadi recalls arranging Choton and Mrinalini’s wedding, but Choton’s desire to work outside Kolkata poses a challenge. She asks Mrinalini to stop him. Appu declares she will ensure their marriage happens, making everyone smile. She then asks Mrinalini if she is still upset with Choton, as the family continues to miss Jhanak.

Anirudh arrives, feeling forgotten, but Appu embraces him and scolds him for hurting Jhanak. Choton, angered, confronts Anirudh, but Bablu intervenes. Choton reveals he dropped Jhanak at the airport and understands her pain. Just then, Bhattacharya arrives. Anuradha and Lalon acknowledge his efforts in arranging and funding the event. Bhattacharya asks them to address him as Kaka (uncle) instead of Sir, declaring himself their guardian. He apologizes for not being there for them sooner.

Bhattacharya blesses Appu and presents her with a necklace. Anuradha questions the extravagant gift, but he insists Appu is like a daughter to him. Appu expresses gratitude for his kindness and his help in saving Lalon. Meghla and Adrija arrive, and Anuradha introduces them. Appu suggests that Meghla and Lalon sing together to gain fame like Jhanak. Lalon agrees, while Adrija taunts Meghla and Appu.
