Jhanak update Thursday 20 March 2025

Jhanak: The episode begins with Aditya rushing Jhanak to the hospital. He shouts for a doctor and asks her if she has experienced this pain before. Jhanak responds that she had felt it once in Kolkata but did not anticipate it happening again. Aditya assures her that everything will be fine and questions how he could leave her alone at the hotel. He asks if she would have left him in such a situation.

Jhanak, distressed, expresses her fears, saying Anirudh’s lack of support may have caused the baby to feel unwanted and leave her. Aditya tries to console her, but she insists she can sense it. She recalls how much her mother loved her and sacrificed for her. Aditya reassures her that he will take care of the treatment expenses and expects her to repay him once she achieves success. He urges her not to refuse his help, emphasizing his genuine concern for her. Jhanak laments her hardships, stating that she never knew her father, lost her mother, and now Anirudh refuses to acknowledge their child. Aditya comforts her, saying that one day she will discover her father’s identity and receive the apology she deserves.

Meanwhile, Lalon asks everyone to pause the wedding rituals, as it is time for Appu’s medication. Kajal brings her medicine, which Appu takes before saying she feels sleepy. The women present urge Lalon to proceed with exchanging garlands and feeding Appu sweets. Appu happily agrees, while Lalon notices the women gossiping and laughing at Appu. Irritated, he defends her and insists on stopping the ritual. Kajal suggests they leave so that Appu can rest. However, the women insist on continuing.

Jhanak, still in the hospital, questions Aditya about his certainty regarding her father’s eventual apology. Aditya recalls Rudra’s words but does not reveal the truth, merely stating that he believes it to be true. Jhanak, however, dismisses the value of an apology, unsure of how it would help her situation. She then asks Aditya if he would care for her baby should anything happen to her. She wonders if he would abandon the child in an orphanage. Though she had previously refused his offer of support, she now asks him to ensure that her baby has a good life and learns the truth when old enough.

Aditya promises to look after both her and the baby, even giving the child his name. He admits his love for Jhanak, despite knowing she does not feel the same way. Jhanak firmly states that a person falls in love only once, and for her, that love is Anirudh.

Meanwhile, Lalon argues with the women at the ceremony. Kajal reminds him that Appu is his wife and deserves respect. She then performs a ritual, wetting Appu’s hair and instructing her to clean Lalon’s feet with it. Appu complies.

Back at the hospital, Aditya ensures Jhanak is taken inside for treatment. The doctor inquires about her symptoms and asks how far along she is in her pregnancy. Jhanak confirms she is three months pregnant. The doctor asks if she has undergone any tests and requests her reports. Upon examining her, the doctor expresses doubt about the pregnancy and insists on conducting further tests. Both Jhanak and Aditya are left stunned.

Elsewhere, Lalon and Appu exchange garlands, marking a significant moment in their relationship. Kajal watches with teary eyes. Later, Appu insists that Kajal should stay the night, but Kajal refuses, feeling hurt. Appu, puzzled, asks Lalon if Kajal is upset with him. Lalon reassures Appu, stating that everyone loves Kajal and that he did not mean to hurt her feelings. Kajal overhears their conversation and cries.

Appu, determined to make things right, tells Lalon that she will scold Kajal the next day. Lalon, on the other hand, urges her to sleep. He sings a lullaby, and Appu dozes off. Just before drifting into sleep, she asks Lalon if he kissed her. He playfully asks if she is upset. Appu replies that her mother used to kiss her the same way and that she liked it. She then requests him to sing again, and he obliges, while Kajal, outside, remains heartbroken.

At the hospital, Aditya is left bewildered by the doctor’s revelation. The doctor explains that she wants to clear up any confusion and will conduct tests. She tells Aditya that she is unsure if Jhanak’s pregnancy even exists. A wave of shock hits Aditya and Jhanak.

The episode ends with uncertainty looming over Jhanak’s pregnancy and relationships being tested on multiple fronts.
