Saras and kumud

Saras and Kumud: The episode begins with everyone participating in the Chakri ritual, where they grind wheat with their respective partners. Kumud watches Saras, feeling helpless as she sits with Pramad. Kalika observes with a smirk. Danny feels uneasy seeing Kusum with Mohan, while Kusum’s gaze is fixed on Saras. Saras, however, controls his emotions and refrains from approaching Kumud.

Once the ritual concludes, the participants begin their prayers. Pramad apologizes to Kumud, saying she was supposed to perform the ritual with him. As the others leave, Kusum remains seated. Danny approaches her, commenting on the coarse texture of her flour and explaining that, just like in life, if one doesn’t choose the right partner, everything turns out wrong. He takes over and grinds the wheat into a fine powder, reassuring her that everything will be set right with the support of Saras and Kumud. Kusum, feeling conflicted, decides to speak with Kumud.

Kumud, meanwhile, is lost in thought, wondering how much pain Saras must have felt seeing her perform the ritual with Pramad. Kusum enters the room in tears, and Kumud, noticing her distress, assures her that she hasn’t forgotten her promise. She acknowledges the situation is difficult but insists that Danny is the right person for Kusum and will keep her happy. However, Kusum drops a shocking revelation—she does not love Danny. Stunned, Kumud asks who she loves then. Without hesitation, Kusum confesses, “Saras.” Kumud is left in disbelief.

Kusum, breaking down, hugs Kumud and reiterates her love for Saras. Kumud, overwhelmed by anger, slaps her. (Honestly, Kusum deserved this! She needed a reality check!) Crying, Kumud rushes away, followed by Kusum, who also bursts into tears. Kumud, unable to process Kusum’s words, initially convinces herself that it must be a joke. However, the realization soon sets in when she discovers fragments of Kusum’s wedding card, each piece scribbled with Saras’s name. Just then, Saras arrives, and Kumud immediately confronts him about Kusum. Saras reassures her, saying it is his responsibility to handle the situation.

Meanwhile, Guniyal takes Kusum aside to show her the wedding jewelry Kumud had chosen for her. As Kusum cries, Guniyal gives her motherly advice, then asks if she has spoken to Kumud. Without remorse, Kusum admits that she has.

Elsewhere, Pramad approaches Kumud, stating that he has something important to discuss. Kumud, still upset, dismisses him, saying she will talk later. Saras, meanwhile, hands Kumud a Lord Krishna idol, saying that God will take care of everything. Conflicted, Kumud asks Saras who he would support if both she and Kusum were in trouble. Saras chooses Kusum, reasoning that Kumud is strong and doesn’t need support, whereas Kusum is innocent and vulnerable. Kumud is hurt by this response, questioning how Saras could have made such a mistake that now jeopardizes both her and Kusum’s lives. Saras, puzzled, asks her to elaborate, but Kumud remains silent, leaving him frustrated.

Guniyal, now deeply worried, scolds Kusum for revealing her feelings to Kumud. Kusum insists that she couldn’t keep it a secret. Guniyal blames herself for the mess, declaring that Kusum’s actions could never break Saras and Kumud’s bond. Kusum argues that if Saras and Kumud were destined to be together, then why is Kumud still married to Pramad? She justifies her feelings by saying that fate brought her and Saras together during the Ghadi ritual. Furious, Guniyal slaps her, regretting ever giving birth to her.

Meanwhile, Saras speaks to Danny, assuring him that they will find a solution. Pramad interrupts, sensing Kumud’s distress. He hands Saras some documents and requests that he give them to Kumud. Upon inspection, Saras realizes they are Pramad’s property papers. Pramad expresses his desire to see Kumud happy. However, Saras calls out his hypocrisy, reminding him that he once tried to kill Kumud for money. Pramad insists that he is sincere in his regret but declares he won’t leave Kumud until his repentance is complete. Saras, furious, walks away.

Kumud, alone in her room, sobs as she reflects on Kusum’s confession. Determined to resolve the situation, she prays to God for guidance, convinced that Kusum needs someone like Saras, not Saras himself.

Elsewhere, Kalika visits Pramad, hinting at the chaos unfolding. She cryptically remarks that while Pramad desires Kumud, Kumud loves Saras, and Kusum also wants Saras. Pramad, caught off guard, begins coughing in shock.

Meanwhile, Kusum, heartbroken, stands on the terrace with a blade in her hand, contemplating suicide. Kumud, lost in thought, notices Kusum’s kamarbandh (waistband) falling. Alarmed, she looks up and sees Kusum preparing to cut her wrist. She immediately screams and rushes to stop her. Confronting her sister, Kumud demands an explanation. Kusum, in tears, says that their mother gave her an ultimatum—to choose between Kumud and Saras. She claims to have chosen Kumud but insists she cannot live without Saras.

Downstairs, Saras informs Guniyal that he needs to return home and asks her to convey this to Kumud. Guniyal, concerned, asks if Kumud said anything to him. Saras simply responds that Kusum should be forgiven, as it is not her fault.

Meanwhile, Kusum continues her emotional breakdown, arguing that Saras has to reciprocate her love. Kumud firmly tells her that Saras does not love her and never will. Kusum refuses to accept this, insisting that Saras was meant for her since he saw her before Kumud. Kumud corrects her, pointing out that Saras’s love for her is deep and real, whereas Kusum’s love is one-sided. However, Kusum stubbornly believes she can make Saras fall for her.

As this drama unfolds, Vidyachatur confronts Pramad, questioning his intentions. Pramad claims that Kusum doesn’t truly want to marry Mohan. Vidyachatur dismisses his words, but Saras steps in and confirms that Pramad is telling the truth. Shocked, Vidyachatur insists that Kusum answer for herself. Kusum, despite knowing her feelings, lies and says she wants to marry Mohan. Saras urges her to be honest, but she refuses to acknowledge the truth.

Later, as the family processes this revelation, Kumud confides in Danny, encouraging him to move forward. Danny, however, is heartbroken, unable to comprehend how Kusum could deceive him. Meanwhile, Saras begins packing his bags, announcing his departure for Dubai. Kumud, shocked, asks why. Saras accuses her of supporting Kusum’s decision, believing she doesn’t trust Danny. Kumud denies this, saying she trusts Saras completely. He then demands that she divorce Pramad if she truly loves him.

Saras hands her Pramad’s trust fund papers, explaining that Pramad has transferred everything to her name so she can establish her dream school. Moreover, Pramad has refused a liver transplant, preferring to die in her arms. Kumud, horrified, tries to process this information, but Saras firmly declares that he and Danny are leaving for Dubai that very night. Kumud, stunned, tries to stop him.

In frustration, Saras reminds her that he endured watching her marry Pramad, and he won’t let Danny suffer the same fate with Kusum. Enraged, he accuses Kusum of betraying Danny and insists she should have been honest with him before making her decision. Finally, Kumud drops the ultimate truth—Kusum doesn’t love Danny because she loves him. Saras is left in absolute shock.
