Saras and Kumud update Sunday 30 March 2025

Saras and Kumud: The episode begins with Kumud, deep in thought over Saras’s words, lighting the lamps, her eyes brimming with tears. Saras walks over, gently holding her hands. Their eyes meet, and an emotional silence envelops them as “O Piya” plays softly in the background. He offers her fruits, urging her to eat. She hesitates and shakes her head, but he insists, saying that if she doesn’t eat, he won’t either and will go to bed hungry. Reluctantly, she takes a piece, and they feed each other, lost in their shared moment of tenderness. The song “Kuch Na Kahe Bas Chup Rahe” plays as Saras lovingly touches her face, wiping away her tears. They both turn away, each walking in opposite directions, their hearts heavy.
The next morning, Dadaji is playing the conch in the family temple, excited about the trip to Ratnagiri. Badimaa mentions calling the children for aarti, but Dadaji asks her to wait. He then expresses his desire to speak with Vidyachatur, intending to discuss Kumud and Saras’s future. Meanwhile, Kumud and Saras are packing the car, and Saras accidentally hurts himself while lifting her bag. She apologizes, and he jokingly says he’s being punished for not sharing his thoughts with her. He then asks her to talk to Kusum, as they need to help bring Danny and Kusum closer together. Kumud agrees that she wants Kusum’s happiness, but she’s not sure about sacrificing her own happiness to make that happen.
Saras encourages her to be practical. He believes Danny truly loves Kusum and will make her happy. He suggests they take Kusum with them to Ratnagiri, and Kumud reluctantly agrees. Dadaji, meanwhile, talks to Vidyachatur about Kumud and Saras. He insists that Kumud can’t remain single forever, and he believes Saras is the best match for her. Vidyachatur shares his concerns about Kusum’s mental state, but Dadaji assures him that they will handle things carefully. He believes Saras marrying Kumud is the best solution.
Kumud expresses to Saras that she’s worried about Kusum, who won’t be able to accept their marriage. Saras tells her that it’s all in her hands now. Just as they’re about to leave, Kusum approaches and insists on keeping her bag herself. She then engages Kumud in a conversation, questioning whether everyone expects her to go to Danny now that Dadaji is coming. Kusum is determined not to be forced into anything, but Kumud looks on, unsure of how to handle the situation.
Meanwhile, Kalika stirs the pot by sharing with Kusum the news of Kumud and Saras’s planned marriage. Kusum is clearly upset and accuses Kumud of trying to push her out of the picture to marry Saras. Kumud tries to assure her, but Kusum’s bitterness only deepens. Kusum says Kumud is just using her as an excuse to get closer to Saras. Kusum storms off, leaving Kumud devastated.
Later, Dadaji arrives, and Saras tells him that they’ve come early for Kusum’s Grah Pravesh (homecoming). Kumud expresses concern about whether their marriage will truly help Kusum settle down with Danny. Dadaji assures her that it will, and Badimaa supports his decision. As the preparations are made for the Grah Pravesh, Kalika whispers in Kusum’s ear, filling her with doubts. Kusum struggles to come to terms with the idea of marrying Danny, but Kalika encourages her to fight for what she believes is right.
Kumud watches as Saras handles the arrangements for the ceremony, her heart conflicted. Their playful interaction with flowers lifts the tension, and for a brief moment, they share a smile, even amid the chaos. Saras and Kumud share a fleeting moment of warmth, but Kumud is still troubled by Kusum’s situation.
Kusum, in her room, finally gathers the courage to confront Dadaji. She knocks on his door and, with tears in her eyes, explains that she cannot go through with the Grah Pravesh if it means giving in to everyone’s demands. Dadaji, feeling unwell, listens as Kusum expresses her doubts about the marriage. He begins to feel faint and holds his chest, prompting concern from everyone around him.
Guniyal rushes to Kalika, who claims to have no idea where Kusum has gone. Guniyal is alarmed and seeks out Kusum, fearing that she might say something damaging to Dadaji. Kumud, meanwhile, asks Saras if Dadaji has truly made up his mind about their marriage. Saras, confused, says he has no idea what Kumud is talking about, but soon Badimaa arrives with news that Dadaji wants to see them married for the sake of Kusum’s happiness.
As Dadaji’s health continues to deteriorate, the doctor confirms that he has a heart condition that requires immediate surgery. Kumud and Saras both scold Dadaji for hiding his illness, and Kumud expresses frustration at not being told the truth sooner. Dadaji insists that he wanted to teach them a lesson and emphasizes his desire to see them married.
Meanwhile, Kalika smugly informs Guniyal that Kusum was planning to tell Dadaji she doesn’t want to go through with the marriage, but she left before doing so. Guniyal, furious, rushes to confront Kusum, accusing her of being selfish and endangering Dadaji’s health. Kusum, feeling misunderstood, refuses to back down but is guilted into apologizing to Dadaji and agreeing to go through with the ceremony.
Kumud finally confronts Dadaji, asking why he made the decision to arrange her marriage to Saras without consulting her. She understands that it was done to help Kusum, but she also fears it will cause more harm than good. Dadaji, however, stands firm in his belief that this is the right path, and Saras agrees, stressing that he wants to marry Kumud but also wants to ensure Kusum’s happiness.
Just as things seem to be at a breaking point, Kusum enters and announces that she’s ready to go through with the Grah Pravesh. The family is relieved, though Kumud remains worried about what Kusum might truly feel. Kalika, ever the manipulator, watches from the sidelines, pleased that the drama is unfolding according to her plans.
