Saras and Kumud update Wednesday 16 April 2025

Vidyachatur asks Guniyal how he looks, and she jokes that he looks as if it’s his engagement. He smiles and says, “This is our love,” adding that she looks the same as she did on their engagement day. They both laugh. He then asks Kusum how he looks, with Yash and Dadaji looking on.
Kusum says he looks great, and Vidyachatur jokingly asks, “What do you want?” Guniyal agrees with Kusum’s compliment.
Dadaji chuckles and asks where Saras is, as the guests are arriving. Kusum expresses her worry, but Vidyachatur reassures her that Saras will be there soon. Yash comments that Saras will enter like a hero, to which Kusum agrees, but she wonders aloud where Kumud is. She decides to go check on her.
Kumud is anxiously trying to call Saras, her worry growing as his phone remains unreachable. Badimaa enters with clothes and jewelry for Kumud, urging her to get ready. Kumud, still concerned, says she doesn’t understand why Saras hasn’t arrived yet.
Badimaa reassures her not to dwell on the past, but Kumud insists that just as Saras came to her before, he will come again today. Badimaa says he’ll arrive before she finishes getting ready, but Kumud is still uneasy.
Saras, meanwhile, is riding his bicycle, trying to find a quicker way to get to Kumud. Kusum is also calling him, but no answer. Everyone waits for Saras, growing more concerned. Kalika returns, thinking no one should ask her questions. Yash stops her, asking why she’s late.
She lies, saying she met her friends and got delayed. Yash’s mother scolds her, but Kalika brushes it off, claiming she was praying for Kumud’s well-being.
Kalika asks about Saras’s whereabouts, and when Kusum questions her, she lies, saying she hasn’t seen his car. Badimaa confirms that Saras hasn’t come yet, and Kalika says she’ll get ready before he arrives. Yash notices that Kalika’s dupatta is torn and asks her about it.
Kalika, thinking quickly, says it got caught in the bike’s tire. Kumud continues to fret over Saras’s delay, talking to herself about how incomplete the moment feels without him.
Saras looks for alternative transportation but is unsuccessful. He finally sees a car coming and tries to stop it. The car hits him lightly, but he’s unharmed. The driver offers him a ride, which Saras gladly accepts, apologizing for jumping in front of the car.
The driver asks if he’s in a hurry to get to his girlfriend or wife, to which Saras replies, “My fiancée. It’s my engagement today.” The driver wishes him congratulations, and Saras mentions that the saree he’s wearing is his mother’s.
The man stops the car, and Saras wonders what’s wrong. The driver brushes it off, and Saras thanks him when they reach his destination. He invites the driver to the engagement, but the man declines, saying, “Maybe another time.” Saras thanks him again before he leaves, feeling like they share a special bond.
Back at the house, everyone anxiously waits for Saras. Dadaji is particularly concerned. Kusum tries calling him once more, but there’s still no answer. Kalika smiles slyly, relishing the tension in the air. Saras finally arrives at the house, thanking the driver once again.
He walks toward Kumud, who is praying for his safe arrival. When she turns around and sees him, a bright smile spreads across her face. She rushes toward him and hugs him tightly. Saras asks if she was worried, and Kumud expresses that she can’t live without him.
She notices a scratch on his hand and asks how it happened. He downplays it, but then he tells her that he went to Rampur to get the Chanya Choli for her. He proudly reveals that he didn’t let her know because he wanted it to be a surprise. Kumud is touched by his gesture, and he gently drapes the dupatta over her. They share an intimate moment, with Saras saying that now, the picture is completehe r, him, and his late mother.
Meanwhile, Kalika watches from a distance, feeling a mixture of disbelief and frustration. She thinks to herself that Saras’s arrival has ruined her plans and wonders how Kumud’s fate could be so perfect.
As Kumud and Saras walk hand-in-hand into the hall, Kalika is in shock, wondering if she’s dreaming. The family is overjoyed to see Saras. He takes blessings from Dadaji, who asks when he arrived, as no one saw him come in.
Badimaa notices the saree Kumud is wearing and praises it, learning that it’s Saras’s mother’s saree, which he had turned into the Chanya Choli. The family smiles warmly at the gesture, and Badimaa hugs Saras, saying, “You should’ve told me you went to bring your mother’s saree.”
Kalika, seething with envy, wonders how Kumud’s luck could have turned in her favor with Saras’s timely arrival.
