Saras and Kumud update Monday 28 April 2025

The episode begins with Kumud approaching Laxminandan. She reminds him of the first time he came to meet her, recalling the joy on his face when he hoped to make her his daughter-in-law. She sympathizes with his feelings, understanding how difficult it must be to learn about Danny and Kusum’s relationship.
She compares it to when Laxminandan remarried and caused Saras pain. Kumud warns him that sometimes our decisions hurt others, but now it’s his turn to decide whether to support his son’s happiness or make him regret it. She leaves after her heartfelt words.
Downstairs, Laxminandan walks in with Kumud, and everyone looks at him expectantly. Danny pleads with his father to hear him out. Kusum also asks for his support, sharing how Danny has longed for his parents’ acceptance of his happiness. Danny admits to his faults, expressing regret for all the complaints he’s caused, but he appreciates his father’s forgiveness. Saras watches silently.
Laxminandan finally smiles and nods in approval, making everyone around him happy. Danny and Kusum take his blessings. Laxminandan praises Danny for making the right decision in choosing such a wonderful girl. He then advises Danny not to tell his mother just yet, as it may be difficult for her to accept, but he will handle it. Danny agrees.
Later, Laxminandan approaches Saras, who turns away in anger. Everyone except Kumud leaves the scene. Saras storms off as Laxminandan attempts to speak to him, but Laxminandan assures Kumud that he is happy she understands his position.
Kumud explains that while Saras’ pain is deep, he must accept that his father’s actions were out of love. She reveals she won’t accept Laxminandan’s blessings as her father-in-law until Saras does. Laxminandan promises to wait, confident that Kumud will not let their relationship fall apart.
Meanwhile, Danny tells Kusum how relieved he is that his father has accepted their relationship, calling her his official life partner. Kusum, however, expresses concern about Saras’ anger towards Laxminandan, knowing that his feelings are hurt. Danny reassures her that once his mother accepts their union, everything will be fine.
Later, Kumud approaches Saras, who is alone and reflects on the loneliness he’s been feeling. She comforts him, asking why he chose to isolate himself. Saras admits he’s still hurt and has decided to sever ties with his father, even though Kumud invited him to the marriage.
He says he has erased Laxminandan from his life. Kumud shows him a childhood doll that her father had kept safely for her, symbolizing his love for her even without words. She encourages Saras to understand that his father’s love for him exists in ways that may not be overt, and that he shouldn’t let the past define their future.
Saras remains adamant, claiming that his mother’s death was because of Laxminandan, and he can never forgive him. Kumud pleads with him not to let the anger ruin their chance at healing.
She tries to remind him that they both suffered, and it’s time to give Laxminandan a chance for redemption. Saras, still hurt, refuses to forgive, but Kumud insists that they move forward with their new beginning.
As Kumud’s Bidaai ceremony begins, she tearfully performs the rituals, following tradition by imprinting her hand on the wall before leaving the house. Kusum, too, bids farewell, with both girls saying emotional goodbyes to their family.
Guniyal, teary-eyed, tells them that their happiness and respect are tied to their new homes. The farewell is bittersweet, with Badimaa adding that Kumud will be loved and fought over by her new family.
Vidyachatur also shares a parting moment with Kumud, assuring her that she is marrying into the right family and offering her wisdom for her journey ahead. The family shares a hug before they leave. As Kumud and Kusum prepare to leave in the car with Saras and Danny, the Bidaai is finally completed, marking a new chapter in their lives.
