Saras and Kumud update Saturday 26 April 2025

The episode opens with Kumud stepping into the mandap. Saras removes his pagdi and smiles warmly at the sight of her. Kalika, waiting anxiously for her moment to disrupt the ceremony, watches from a distance. As the guests applaud the couple, Kalika silently vows to halt the wedding rituals.

Kumud sits beside Saras, and joy fills the room. Vidyachatur reminds Saras to step forward for the ritual. He pours milk over Saras’s feet and showers them with flowers as part of the custom. The family claps again. Kumud and Saras exchange loving glances, and everyone smiles in support except Kalika, who begins to worry as the ceremony progresses smoothly.

Suddenly, the police arrive with a lawyer in tow. Kalika grins, anticipating the chaos she hoped for. The lawyer announces that the marriage cannot proceed. Vidyachatur, stunned, demands to know why. The lawyer explains that Kumud is still legally married to Pramad, and marrying again would be unlawful.

Vidyachatur argues that Kumud is no longer his wife, but the inspector counters that without official divorce documents, this new marriage is invalid. He presents an invitation card and photographs as evidence. Saras questions the source of the complaint. The inspector reveals that they received an anonymous envelope containing full details of the situation. Kumud turns to Kalika, asking who could have done this—Kalika silently smirks.

Kalika recalls her involvement with Pramad. The inspector apologizes but insists the marriage must be halted until legal clarity is achieved. Saras argues that Pramad did indeed grant Kumud a divorce and accuses someone of trying to sabotage them.

The inspector asks for the divorce papers. Vidyachatur pleads to continue the ceremony since the auspicious time is passing. However, the lawyer refuses to allow it. Guniyal offers to retrieve the papers, and Vidyachatur sends Yash to help her. Badimaa comforts Kumud, assuring her nothing will go wrong.

Kusum tries to uplift Kumud’s spirits, saying today is the day she and Saras are meant to unite. Saras gestures reassuringly to Kumud, signaling her to remain calm.

Vidyachatur then receives a call from Yash, who says they can’t find the documents. Kalika gloats to herself, thinking she made sure they wouldn’t be found. Vidyachatur rushes to help. They search every cupboard in the house, but the documents are missing.

Kalika watches them panic, secretly pleased. Vidyachatur questions Guniyal about the papers. Yash suspects someone has stolen them. Kusum says she last saw them in Kumud’s room, but now they’re gone. When Kumud hears this, she is shocked and confused. Kalika quietly celebrates.

Vidyachatur pleads with the inspector again, offering to bring a duplicate from the court later. But the lawyer remains firm they cannot proceed without official documentation. Badimaa assures Kumud the wedding will happen. Kumud, emotionally overwhelmed, asks why fate continues to test them, and wonders when their struggle will end.

Yash’s mother expresses doubt that the couple is meant to be, prompting an angry response from Badimaa, while Kalika smiles smugly. Dadaji firmly declares that the wedding will take place today. Kalika internally gloats, thinking this is exactly the scene she hoped to witness.

Saras reassures Kumud, saying it doesn’t matter what anyone says he will make her his wife and take her home. Whether it’s today or another day, he promises to be with her forever. Holding her hand, he tells her not to worry and pledges to stand by her in every moment.

Emotions run high. The lawyer reiterates that the law won’t allow them to continue. Vidyachatur urges him to reconsider, noting that the next day is a court holiday. The lawyer apologizes and says the marriage must be postponed. Kalika grins, satisfied with the disruption. The pandit walks away, and guests begin to leave, gossiping about Kumud’s situation. Just then, Pramad’s mother arrives, shocking everyone—including Kalika.

She asks the guests not to leave and declares that the marriage will happen right now. She hands over a copy of the divorce papers to the lawyer, stating that Kumud is legally free from Pramad. Everyone rejoices.

The lawyer reviews the papers. (Kalika’s scheme is foiled—ha!) The inspector confirms the documents are valid and apologizes for the interruption. He gives them the green light to proceed with the marriage. The room erupts with joy.

Kumud hugs Badimaa with relief. The inspector and lawyer leave. Kumud touches Pramad’s mother’s feet, receiving her blessings. Saras also greets her respectfully. Kumud tearfully thanks her, saying she restored their lost hope. Pramad’s mother replies that she remembers everything Kumud did for their family and is repaying that debt. Kalika stands in shock, wondering who informed Pramad’s mother and who orchestrated her arrival.
