Jhanak update Thursday 1 May 2025

The episode begins with Anirudh having a conversation with Aditya, expressing his thoughts on Guru ji at the ashram. He mentions that Guru ji resembled Brij Bhushan, but he isn’t Brij. Aditya informs him that Brij is coming to Kolkata tomorrow and suggests that they visit Mumbai to meet a performer named Nutan, who could be connected to Brij. He asks Anirudh to join him, to which Anirudh agrees. Meanwhile, Pandit gives instructions, and Appu is seen crying for Jhanak, with Anjana trying to console her.

Aditya tells Anirudh that he understands he doesn’t want to see anyone on stage, but they need to face Brij. Anirudh admits their plan has failed, but Aditya insists that they should go and confront Brij with the truth — that he is Jhanak’s real father, which is their responsibility. He reminds Anirudh that he has Urvashi’s letter, but Anirudh worries that Brij may deny the truth since Urvashi is no longer alive to confirm it. Aditya is determined, though, and encourages Anirudh to go with him and expose Brij. He convinces Anirudh to step out.

At the ashram, Pandit asks for Jhanak’s name and Gotra, but Dadi admits she doesn’t know. Arshi suggests calling Mama ji, but Anirudh interrupts and says there’s no need. He looks at a picture of Jhanak and recalls their marriage. A melancholic song, “Paas Aaye,” plays as Appu hugs Anirudh, crying.

Meanwhile, Brij Bhushan meets a woman, introducing Jhanak as Nutan, and instructs the woman to groom her properly. Pandit ji says they want Nutan to be prepared so no one can recognize her. Shubh asks if they know her Gotra, and Anirudh responds that it’s Gautam Gotra, which happens to be their Gotra. Dadi is surprised, and Anirudh confirms that Jhanak and he were married.

Bipasha reassures Arshi that Anirudh will come to her soon. Meenakshi asks Appu to sing a song for Jhanak for the last time, and Appu, recalling Jhanak, sings a sad song and cries. Anirudh comforts her with a hug.

In a conversation with the woman, Brij comments on how Nutan’s life holds many secrets, and she might be surprised by the truth hidden within Guru ji’s life. Nutan, however, insists she doesn’t want to be surprised — she just wants answers. Brij promises that tomorrow, she’ll meet her father and learn the truth, with the program scheduled for the next day.

Pandit tells Appu that Brij will keep his promise, and once she meets her father, all her questions will be answered. However, Jhanak reflects on how her mother never wanted her to know anything about her father. The woman reassures her, saying Brij has lost everything and that it’s good to see him here. Brij insists on presenting Nutan in the best light.

Meanwhile, Kajal visits Anuradha and shares the news of her promotion, but after a brief conversation, she shows Anuradha a picture of Nutan. Appu sees it and is stunned, realizing that the girl in the photo looks exactly like Jhanak.

She concludes that this girl must be Jhanak, and that she is a dancer. She immediately decides they all should go to the show. Anuradha, concerned, tells Appu to take her medicines and eat. Appu expresses her gratitude to Kajal for her help, and Kajal, seeing Lalon, leaves.

Brij instructs the woman to prepare Nutan. Jhanak, anxious, reminds Brij of his promise to reveal the truth about her father, and Brij reassures her that she will indeed meet him soon.
