Jhanak update Saturday 17 May 2025

The episode begins with Anirudh claiming that the woman present is not Jhanak but her sister. Jhanak, startled, asks what he’s talking about. Anirudh recalls how he recovered after Jhanak performed a ritual at the temple. The priest asks about his wife, and Anirudh solemnly says she can’t come anymore—she’s no longer alive. The priest is shocked, saying she seemed like a goddess.

Jhanak steps forward and says she wants to perform a ritual. The priest asks in whose name it should be done. She hands over a letter and says it has all the details—it’s for a relative. The priest agrees.

Jhanak reflects on being there for a prayer ritual, while Anirudh silently wonders if she’s upset with him. He realizes she believes he thinks she’s dead. Elsewhere, Dadi and Anjana discuss Choton and Mrinalini’s possible marriage. Anjana says they should have a conversation with them soon.

Back at the temple, the priest remarks how Jhanak and her “sister” look exactly alike. Jhanak smiles and gives prasad to Anirudh. He declines, explaining that he’s fasting until the puja is over and asks if she can wait. She agrees. Anirudh performs the puja in Jhanak’s name. When asked what happened to her, he says she met with an accident and that some people didn’t want her to live. He prepares to leave, but the priest says his heart tells him that Anirudh and his wife will reunite one day.

Jhanak and Anirudh exchange prasad and apply tika to each other, locking eyes. Anirudh wonders if they’ll meet again in another life and whether the priest’s words might come true. She asks what he’s thinking, and he offers to drop her. She declines.

Meanwhile, at home, Bipasha tells Lal that Nutan is claiming to be Brij’s daughter, and worries she might actually be Jhanak. Lal dismisses her concerns. Bipasha brings it up to Dadi, who confirms after seeing a photo that the girl is indeed Jhanak. Anjana remembers Bablu being insulted. Dadi tells her to sit. Bipasha speculates that Jhanak and Nutan might be twin sisters. Tanuja agrees. Bipasha remains suspicious. Just then, Choton and Mrinalini return and overhear the conversation.

Bipasha insists she’s just expressing her opinion. Tanuja says they never cared much for Jhanak anyway. Choton defends Jhanak and mocks Bipasha. Lal blames Jhanak for their misfortunes. Choton questions that. Dadi firmly says she doesn’t want Jhanak’s name mentioned in the house ever again—she performed her last rites and considers her gone.

Tanuja walks away, and Dadi agrees. Arshi spots Anirudh in the car with Nutan. Curious, she gets down and confronts them, asking if there’s a special occasion. Anirudh says it’s a good day and he came to pray. Arshi sarcastically adds that it must be to pray for them after spending the night together and making promises. Anirudh looks confused.

Arshi continues, teasing him for being shy in front of Nutan. Jhanak watches quietly. Arshi pulls Anirudh aside and claims that all their previous issues are resolved—they’re now united and planning to start a family. She asks when he’ll marry her. Jhanak calmly says she’ll send an invitation when she marries.

Arshi offers to drop Anirudh, but Jhanak declines, saying they’re competitors and she’ll go alone. Arshi brushes it off, saying there’s no competition. Jhanak retorts, “You never know,” and wishes her a happy married life before walking away, hiding her pain.

At home, Anjana asks Choton and Mrinalini to sit. Dadi prompts her to ask them about marriage. Anjana says she wants to know when they plan to marry. Choton says it depends on Mrinalini, who reminds him that he wanted to save money first. He agrees and tells a humorous story. Mrinalini tells him to complete his graduation first, and then they’ll marry. Choton agrees.

Later, Arshi arrives home. Vinayak asks her to make sure her in-laws attend the upcoming party. She assures him they will. Shrishti teases her about her moody behavior. Arshi says everything is fine between her and Anirudh. Vinayak, who is planning a surprise for Arshi, says they’re good friends now. Arshi recalls fond memories with Vinayak. Shrishti asks her not to embarrass her by bringing up the past. Vinayak smiles, thinking about the surprise he’s preparing.
