Jhanak update Thursday 22 May 2025

The episode begins with Jhanak reminding Anirudh that he is married to Arshi, who must be worried about him and needs his support. She urges him to return to her. Anirudh insists he only wants to talk to Jhanak. Brij observes silently. Anirudh pleads with Jhanak not to leave, but she challenges him, asking if he ever considered what she wants.

Despite her resistance, he refuses to leave, acknowledging that she had known everything and was hiding behind Nutan’s identity. He offers to stay with her if that’s what she wants. Jhanak firmly tells him to go. Brij advises Anirudh to respect her wishes and give her space. Anirudh agrees to leave, but promises to return the next day.

Meanwhile, Shrishti tells Arshi to try saving her marriage. Vinayak confronts Shrishti, saying that a partnership requires effort from both sides. He says he wanted to preserve their family, but she didn’t, and now it’s broken. He tells her she can’t stay in his house anymore.

When she asks where she should go, he tells her to figure that out for herself and to clear her name before considering returning. Brij tells Anirudh that he must not return unless Jhanak wants him to. Anirudh pleads for understanding, saying he’s done nothing wrong and doesn’t want to be separated from her. Jhanak insists he go home.

Despite his emotional pleas, she walks away. Anirudh confesses he still loves her deeply. Brij acknowledges Anirudh’s love but reminds him that true love means sacrifice—he is married, and Jhanak doesn’t want to ruin anyone’s home. Brij urges him to return to Arshi. Anirudh leaves reluctantly, holding onto his faith in love.

At home, Arshi tells Vinayak that he cannot throw Shrishti out in the middle of the night. He allows her to stay, but makes it clear she won’t have any relationship with him anymore. Arshi offers her mother the guestroom. Shrishti breaks down.

Arshi says she wants to see Anirudh and face the situation herself. Vinayak tells her this isn’t his fault—it’s the result of Shrishti’s actions. Shrishti remains adamant that the truth will come out and Vinayak will have to apologize. Vinayak says he would gladly apologize if proven wrong, but he’s confident that won’t happen. He adds that Brij and Jhanak are alive, and now the legal battle will unfold. Shrishti goes to the guestroom, and Arshi leaves for Anirudh’s house.

At Anirudh’s home, he questions Arshi about where she was. She tells him he should already know. The conversation escalates into an argument. He blames Shrishti for the pain inflicted on Jhanak. Arshi reminds him of his past love for her. He admits he once loved her, but after learning Jhanak is alive, everything changed.

He says it was a plot to kill Jhanak. Arshi denies her involvement. Anirudh clarifies that he never accused her, but the law will judge Shrishti. He declares his support for Jhanak. Arshi accuses him of betraying her. He argues that he was deceived too, and asks if she ever knew about Shrishti having two daughters. He tells her Jhanak was mistreated and attacked.

Arshi insists they’re talking about their relationship. Anirudh responds that Shrishti has always come between them, trying to control everything, especially when it comes to Jhanak. When Arshi accuses him of loving Jhanak, he doesn’t deny it and says he can’t ignore his feelings. Arshi breaks down, saying her parents’ marriage is already falling apart, and now she’s losing him too. Anirudh reaffirms his loyalty to Jhanak, not because she’s great, but because she needs him.

They continue arguing as Anirudh defends Jhanak, and Arshi accuses him of abandoning their relationship. He urges her to face the truth—that Jhanak is her sister—and accept it. He leaves her in tears. Meanwhile, the family discusses the fallout.

Shubh notes that Vinayak and Shrishti’s marriage is effectively over. Lal expresses concern for Arshi’s emotional state. Bipasha says Anirudh could cause another scene. Shrishti insists Anirudh will eventually forgive her. Shubh sides with her, claiming he can go up against any lawyer Vinayak hires. Bipasha says Shrishti has done wrong, but Shubh still refuses to support Jhanak.

Brij and Jhanak talk. She expresses her disappointment in trusting Shrishti. Brij admits the betrayal but says trusting someone is still better than living in fear. Shubh speculates that Jhanak might return to her father now that she knows who he is, and that Arshi will try to keep Anirudh by her side.

Bipasha says Anirudh had hugged Jhanak in front of everyone, which indicates his true feelings. Shubh decides to talk to Arshi and suggests taking Anirudh abroad. Anjana joins and defends Jhanak, clashing with Tanuja and Bipasha. She tells Bipasha to return the tea if she won’t drink it and storms off.

Brij tells Jhanak that their next steps will involve court proceedings and they will need Anirudh’s help. Jhanak refuses, saying she doesn’t want to break anyone’s family. Brij insists that they need Anirudh—he loves her and will come. He says that Jhanak shouldn’t have to suffer like her mother Urvashi did. He wants to see her happy and suggests she should marry Anirudh.
