Saras and Kumud update Friday 23 May 2025
The episode begins with Vidyachatur noticing Danny’s quiet demeanor and asking why he’s so subdued. Danny replies that he’s simply tired. Meanwhile, everyone is busy preparing for Holi. A man arrives with firewood and informs them that there isn’t enough, offering to fetch more if needed. Kumud pays him for his work and asks him to distribute sweets to the children. The man blesses her, and she calls for Saras, telling him that there’s a shortage of wood and asking him to cut some from behind the tree. Saras agrees to do so.
Vidyachatur notices this exchange and questions Kumud, asking why she sent Saras instead of Danny to fetch the wood. Kumud suggests he call Danny. Danny arrives, and Kumud asks him to bring some wood by cutting it. He agrees. Vidyachatur tells Danny to do it for Kumud’s sake. As Saras begins to cut the tree, Danny arrives and watches from a distance, but he hesitates to approach. Saras, noticing Danny, comments that Kumud likely sent him to join in. Both men share a moment of reflection, and Danny finally steps forward to begin cutting the trees.
As Danny works, Saras tries to speak to him but is pushed away. Saras is hurt in the process, and his hand starts to bleed. Danny immediately tends to the wound, and Saras, though in pain, reassures him, explaining that he slapped him because Danny doubted him. Saras reveals that the misunderstanding began when he was in Kusum’s room, and Kusum mistook him for Danny, leading to Danny’s anger. Saras, with a heavy heart, tells Danny that his anger had been building up over time, especially after his proposal was rejected and he was given the project instead.
Danny breaks down, and Saras wipes away his tears, trying to explain that he only wanted the best for him. Saras recalls how Danny had always been his little brother, and how he had always supported him. Now, however, Danny’s doubt has caused a rift. Saras shares that he gave Danny his lucky suit because he believed in him, and even lied to Kumud to bring Danny and Kusum together. Danny, feeling the weight of the situation, asks why Saras is being so kind and forgiving. Saras pulls him into a hug, telling him to let go of the anger.
The tension between them lifts as Saras urges Danny to focus on the project, reminding him that he is the project head. Danny begins to see the truth of his actions. Meanwhile, Ghuman speaks with Kabir, warning him to be cautious, as she is certain that Saras is Kusum’s true love, and they will never be together. She is determined to ensure Danny and Saras stay apart.
Danny and Saras return to the house carrying the firewood, both smiling. Ghuman and Kabir are taken aback, and everyone else smiles upon seeing them. Kumud notices Saras’s injury and asks about it, and Danny mentions that he got hurt but is fine now. As the family prepares for the Holi ceremony, Kumud expresses hope that this festival will burn away hatred and bring love to the forefront. Kalika, however, watches with suspicion.
The puja begins, and Saras and Danny together light the fire. Ghuman is visibly shocked by the sight. Guniyal speaks to Danny, and he apologizes to Kusum for his earlier behavior. She forgives him, and they embrace, mending their relationship. As they all take the traditional rounds around the Holika, Ghuman watches, thinking to herself that she will see how things play out the next day.
Everyone exchanges Holi greetings, and Kabir, after five years, celebrates without thinking of work. Vidyachatur mentions a relative’s illness, but Saras reassures everyone, saying that his father is recovering and will soon be fine. Ghuman smiles, pleased with the progress, while Kalika remains unsure about her. The children and Yash apply colors to Kalika, and she runs away.
Saras approaches Kumud with colors in hand, saying that it’s their first Holi together as a married couple. Kumud, teasingly, tells him not to make it too easy, but Saras insists, saying it’s their special moment. The episode concludes with the couple sharing this intimate moment amid the celebrations.
