Anupama update Wednesday 28 May 2025

The episode begins with Rahi driving away in Prem’s jeep, leaving him running after it, only to find she has already gone. Janki Behen notices the tension and asks Anupama what happened. Anupama brushes it off, saying it’s nothing. Janki Behen reflects on how Rahi has changed recently—once everyone was upset with her, but now she has become kind, even making tea for the elders. She also mentions how Rahi and Prem constantly argue but still make a perfect pair. They prioritize work so much that they often forget to eat. When one can’t manage a task, the other steps in.

Anupama then asks how Prem is as a person. Janki Behen calls him an embodiment of Kanha ji—truthful and kind-hearted. She asks if Anupama is inquiring for Mahi. Surprised, Anupama asks how she knew. Janki Behen explains that it’s obvious—Mahi tries to stay close to Prem and gazes at him affectionately.

Anupama confides that Mahi truly loves Prem, but she’s unsure of Prem’s feelings. She worries that he might not be serious or may have someone else in his heart. Given Mahi’s painful childhood—growing up without parental love or family acceptance—if her love isn’t reciprocated, she might be devastated.

Anupama asks Janki Behen if she knows anything. Janki replies that she doesn’t believe Prem loves Mahi, and thinks Mahi may have misunderstood his friendship for love. She says Prem is often with Rahi, and others might assume there’s something between them too, but that may not be true. She adds that if Prem has feelings for someone, he’ll express them himself.

Meanwhile, Rahi is driving the jeep while Prem is riding alongside on a skateboard. She stops the jeep due to a fallen tree on the road. Prem clears it and looks at her. Rahi then signals Prem to hop in the jeep. He gets in, and they drive home together.

Mahi hears the sound of the arriving jeep and comes out. Prem takes this moment to give Rahi the floral ring again, asking her to keep it. He says she doesn’t need to answer him now, but holding onto the ring gives him hope and peace. His heart, he says, is racing as if he might have a heart attack. Rahi says nothing, walks away, and the ring slips from his hand. Mahi sees this and asks if Prem was proposing to her. Caught off guard, he fumbles his words. Anupama watches quietly from a distance.

Just then, Baa arrives and asks Prem if he brought guavas. Trying to deflect, he pockets the ring and jokes with her about the English word for guava. He then excuses himself, saying he’s hungry, and walks off with Baa. Mahi, meanwhile, interprets the moment differently.

She believes Prem was just about to propose to her before being interrupted by Baa. Anupama, however, is unsure what to believe. She wonders whether to trust what she saw—Prem kneeling with a ring—or to wait and find out more. She decides not to jump to conclusions and instead to learn more about Prem’s family, given that her daughter’s future is at stake.

Rahi heads to the cloud kitchen, takes the keys from Hina, and steps inside. She eats some food that was left there and thinks back to Prem’s love confession. She tells herself that her life had only just started to feel normal again.

Elsewhere, Prem confides in Pari, telling her that he had proposed to Rahi but she gave no response. He says that earlier, Rahi had told him she didn’t want to marry. After his confession, she simply drove off in the jeep. He worries aloud whether she might slap him in front of everyone. Pari advises him to give Rahi some time. Still anxious, Prem decides to talk to her again.

Meanwhile, Pakhi complains to Toshu that Rahi and Prem are too dominant, and that they’ve already brought in four new orders, overshadowing him. Just then, Anupama walks in and asks what they’re discussing. She offers them kada (a medicinal drink) to fight off the cold. Ishu walks in, asking Pakhi for money to pay for a fashion show entry fee. Pakhi says she doesn’t have the money because she doesn’t work and tells Ishu harshly that no one will give her lakhs since she isn’t anyone’s favorite.

Anupama encourages Kinjal to have the kada, and she takes it. Anupama says the kada helps reveal overacting and pretenses. She scolds Pakhi for not taking responsibility. She says being a mother means helping your children, but children must also take responsibility for their parents. She tells Ishu that if she needs money for something important, she will give it, but she won’t spend unnecessarily.

After Anupama leaves, Baa urges everyone to get back to work, saying Anupama is changing. Pakhi agrees and blames Rahi’s return. Toshu concurs. Kinjal defends Anupama, saying it’s about time she stopped carrying all the burden and others started contributing.

Later, Prem goes to see Rahi, startling her. He assures her it’s just him and jokes that she must be very happy to have eaten the entire box of sweets. He pulls her close and leans in for a kiss—only for Rahi to snap out of the fantasy. It was just her imagination. Ansh walks in and comments on how well the catering event went, mentioning that Anupama’s friend complimented her and her pairing with Prem. He heads off to make tea.

Rahi then spots Prem outside and watches him quietly. Prem, noticing she’s not alone, walks away. He later tells Kaveri that he wants his love story with Rahi to be as deep and passionate as Anupama and Anuj’s. He dances in joy, still full of hope.

Ansh brings tea to Rahi, while both she and Mahi are lost in thoughts of Prem. Mahi smiles to herself, convinced that Prem was about to propose to her, and says Anupama should speak to him soon.
