Jhanak update Monday 9 June 2025

The episode begins with Anjana urging Jhanak to eat, as Dadi inquires about who will perform Brij’s Shraadh. Anjana suggests that Jhanak should carry out the rites. Dadi protests, saying it won’t happen in their house, but Choton defends the idea. Bipasha questions Jhanak’s role in the family, while Anirudh suggests they can perform the rituals outside the house if needed. Anjana, seeing Jhanak’s fragile state after not eating for two days, expresses concern for her health and supports her decision to carry out the ritual.

Arshi, upset, scolds Anirudh for standing by Jhanak. Choton points out that Anirudh is doing the right thing. Anjana tries to calm the situation, reminding everyone that Jhanak is their sister. Arshi, however, refuses to accept this and says it’s all a lie. Jhanak, quietly grieving, expresses her wish that it were a lie.

Appu, accompanied by Lalon, arrives and asks Jhanak about her father’s death. He offers her food, but Bipasha dismisses it as a dramatic act. Appu, feeling protective, tells her to ignore Bipasha and assures Jhanak that he will take care of her. Lalon, though struggling to find work, requests Jhanak to help Appu with her singing career to bring some happiness back into their lives. Jhanak, overwhelmed with emotion, agrees.

As Arshi calls Anirudh, Jhanak tells him to leave her alone. Anirudh, upset, urges her to eat and explains his feelings, saying he values the wrong things. Dadi insults Jhanak, pointing out how much Arshi has been hurt. Anirudh, on the other hand, clarifies that if Arshi isn’t happy, she can leave, but Jhanak is not ready to forgive him yet. Jhanak declares that she will leave once the Shraadh is done, never to return.

Anirudh, determined not to let her go, tries to explain that he can’t live with Arshi anymore. He expresses his fear of Arshi causing more problems and admits that it is impossible for him to save their relationship. Jhanak, conflicted, tells him that leaving Arshi is wrong and that they cannot have a relationship. Anirudh, however, insists that everyone deserves peace and happiness and says he will free himself from Arshi to be with her.

Bipasha, overhearing their conversation, begins to plot. She contemplates how Anirudh’s desire to be free from Arshi will eventually affect his feelings toward Jhanak. Meanwhile, Jhanak mentions she will be going to Mumbai to stay in Aditya’s flat for a while. Anirudh, concerned about her job prospects, is reassured when Jhanak mentions a movie offer.

Anirudh, hopeful, asks if once he is free of Arshi, she would be open to building a life with him. Jhanak, firmly stating that she cannot be the reason for the breakup of his relationship, refuses. Anirudh tells her that time will reveal their future and that he will wait for her decision. He suggests she invite Aditya for her father’s Shraadh ceremony. Jhanak clarifies that Aditya is just a friend and doesn’t want too many people involved. Despite this, Anirudh insists on calling him, as it would be wrong not to inform him. Bipasha, overhearing, smiles, seeing an opportunity.

Later, Anirudh leaves, and Bipasha enters Jhanak’s room. She expresses her condolences for Brij’s death and reminds Jhanak of the family rules, especially concerning puja work. Jhanak, still emotionally drained, listens quietly as Bipasha takes her phone, telling her to step outside for a while. With a hidden agenda, Bipasha leaves the room, leaving Jhanak in confusion.
