Jhanak update Sunday 1 June 2025

The episode begins with Anirudh dropping Brij and Jhanak off at home. Brij invites Anirudh inside, but Jhanak protests, worried that it might cause trouble. Anirudh reassures her not to overthink and asks her to prepare some tea. As Jhanak leaves, Brij speaks to Anirudh, explaining that he understands the pressure Arshi will be putting on him, but Anirudh remains firm, saying he will always stand by Jhanak, no matter what. Brij expresses his pride in Anirudh’s courage.

Meanwhile, Lalon returns home in a dejected state. Appu and Anuradha inquire about his well-being, and he tearfully admits that a contractor has run away with the money. Brij then shifts the conversation and asks Anirudh to listen to something important. Brij tells Anirudh that he trusts him with Jhanak’s life. He admits it was his mistake for not being able to do more for Jhanak, but when she was abandoned, Anirudh stood by her. Brij requests Anirudh to always support Jhanak, regardless of what happens.

Jhanak returns with tea and listens quietly. Brij continues, expressing his belief that Anirudh is her true well-wisher and that he will always protect her. He adds that he doesn’t expect Anirudh to leave his family or marry Jhanak, but if they could be friends, it would make them both happy. Anirudh assures Brij that he will always be there for Jhanak, no matter what. He promises to support her in everything, even if she gets angry and walks away.

Brij further reveals his doubts about Shrishti ever accepting Jhanak as her daughter, and Anirudh asks how he managed to record her statement. Brij reveals that Vinayak helped him set up a meeting with Shrishti where he disguised himself as Kul, and Shrishti failed to recognize him. Jhanak expresses her frustration with the people who wrongfully live long, happy lives, while she and her mother suffer. She admits her fear and begs Brij not to leave. Brij reassures her that, although he’s old, Anirudh will take care of her in his absence.

Jhanak insists that she doesn’t trust anyone, especially married men, and refuses to let Anirudh take care of her. Brij presses on, saying Anirudh will always be there for her, even if she doesn’t accept it. Anirudh tells Brij that their bond will remain strong and unbreakable, no matter what others say or think. He insists that Jhanak loves him, but she won’t openly admit it yet. Brij smiles, and Anirudh promises that no one will break their connection.

As the conversation winds down, Jhanak tells Anirudh it’s late, and he should go home. Anirudh insists on staying, even if it means enduring the insults, and Brij asks him to have some tea before leaving. Anirudh drinks the tea, and Brij acknowledges that both of them are feeling bad about the situation but asks Anirudh to forgive Jhanak for her actions.

At Shubh’s house, he is upset over the ongoing court proceedings. Arshi shares in his frustration, noting that Anirudh is determined to save Jhanak at any cost. Dadi tries to console Shubh, but the tension remains. Shubh announces that he’s left with no choice but to disown Anirudh. When Anirudh arrives, he asks Shubh why children can’t disown their parents. Shubh scolds him and formally disowns him. Dadi and Tanuja try to intervene, but Anirudh stands firm, telling Shubh that he shouldn’t do anything that would embarrass him.

Anirudh continues, accusing Shubh of bribing the fake witness and says that the truth will come out in the next hearing. He mocks Shubh for supporting Jhanak’s enemies and defending falsehoods. Lal attempts to stop Anirudh, but Anirudh retorts that he’s only doing what Shubh has done, supporting his own interests at the expense of the truth. Arshi joins in the argument, but Anirudh stands his ground, calling her out for the role Shrishti has played in all of this.

Anirudh tells Arshi that her embarrassment is a result of her own actions and her blind support for the lies. He challenges her to realize the truth, insisting that no matter what, he will stand by the truth and won’t back down. He warns Arshi that time will reveal everything, but he will not change his stance.

Shubh and Tanuja argue with Anirudh, but he refuses to let their petty arguments distract him. Anirudh insists that his stance on justice is unshakable. As tensions rise, Anirudh declares he might leave the house if things don’t change. Dadi pleads with him to calm down and eat, but Anirudh is resolute. Arshi taunts him, asking if he even wants to stay with her, to which he responds by telling her that she needs to change if she wants to remain in his life.

In the end, Anirudh declares that nothing is more important to him than justice, and he will always support the truth, regardless of the consequences.
