Saras and Kumud update Saturday 21 June 2025
The episode begins with Saras grabbing a goon and demanding Sunanda to tell him where Kumud is, threatening to kill the man if she doesn’t speak. Sunanda smirks and calmly replies, “Go ahead, kill him—Kumud will die too.” She urges Saras to think wisely and let the man go. She reveals that Kumud is with her and is safe for now, but warns Saras not to try anything foolish. “If you hurt my men, your wife will suffer too—you won’t even hear her screams. We’ve treated her well, but if you want her safe, leave quietly.” She orders Samru to show Saras the way out.
Meanwhile, Kabir sneaks into Vidyachatur’s room and quietly takes the cupboard keys while Vidyachatur and Guniyal sleep. He opens the cupboard, searches through some files, finds the one he wants, and puts the keys back before leaving. Guniyal stirs briefly, looks around, then goes back to sleep.
Back at Sunanda’s place, she visits Kumud and smugly announces some “good news”—Saras had come again, but her men stopped and roughed him up. Kumud, distressed, asks what they’ve done to him. Sunanda tells her that Saras came out of love for her, just as desperate to meet her. She adds they let him go—for now—but warns that if he comes again, there will be consequences. Kumud warns her that she’ll pay dearly. Sunanda brushes it off and insists Kumud must dance today, saying, “If you disobey, Saras will suffer. Let’s see what you love more—your freedom or your husband’s life.” Kumud breaks down in tears. Sunanda reinforces her threat: “As long as you dance, Saras stays safe. Get ready.” She leaves Kumud in distress.
Saras, meanwhile, is consumed with worry and tells Majnu he feels helpless—going back could endanger Kumud, but doing nothing is just as unbearable. Majnu urges him to stay hopeful.
At home, morning arrives. Vidyachatur remarks that Saras can’t be reached and that even Danny has left Kusum behind—something strange is going on. Guniyal suggests they visit the temple to find some peace, and they invite Badimaa to come along. She declines, saying she’ll stay home in case there’s any news about Kumud or Saras.
Majnu hands Saras his fully charged phone. Saras gets a call from Badimaa. She asks if he’s okay, and Saras assures her he is. When she asks about Kumud, he tells her he found her and explains the situation. Badimaa is shocked. Saras reassures her, saying he’ll bring Kumud back safely. She insists the whole family will come with the police, but Saras pleads with her not to—he says the people involved are dangerous and that Kumud had come here to investigate Ghuman. This surprises Badimaa. Saras explains that Danny must not find out about Ghuman’s connection to dance; it could devastate him. They must uncover the truth, but only after rescuing Kumud. Badimaa asks how he plans to do this all alone. Saras replies that her blessings give him strength. He asks how Danny is doing. Badimaa hides the truth, not wanting to burden him further, and simply says Danny is fine. She urges Saras to take care and stay in touch, as everyone is deeply worried.
Majnu asks Saras what his plan is. Saras says if they hadn’t seen him before, they could’ve gone in as guests. He gets an idea and takes Majnu with him.
Back at Sunanda’s, dancer Kusum brings clothes for Kumud and tells her to get ready. “What will you do now?” she asks. Kumud cries as she leaves. Kumud looks at the clothes, troubled.
Sunanda welcomes guests to her place and introduces them to a new girl. She sends Kajal to bring Kumud. Dressed in traditional attire with a veil, Kumud appears, and the guests applaud. Saras, disguised as a Sheikh, enters with Majnu. He sees Kumud and is visibly moved. Kumud begins to sing the devotional song “Man Mohana… Kanha Suno Na…”. Sunanda is stunned, while Jugnu listens and smiles.
Angrily, Sunanda questions Kajal about why Kumud is singing a devotional instead of a performance piece. “The guests didn’t come to hear bhajans,” she snaps. She turns to look at Saras. Kumud finishes her song and performs a salaam. Saras claps, followed by the crowd. Kumud is then led away.
Lalit praises Kumud’s performance. Jugnu complains to Sunanda, “I told you I was arranging money—couldn’t you wait one more day?” Sunanda responds, “Can’t you see? Her value is rising.” She turns to Saras and comments that the new girl seems to have caught his attention. Saras signals Majnu to speak on his behalf. Majnu confirms Saras is taken with the girl but adds, “It doesn’t look like she came here willingly.” Sunanda shrugs it off: “Well, she’s here now—maybe this is her destiny.” Majnu says her eyes reflect a free spirit, and that she won’t stay here long. Saras looks at Sunanda, his eyes filled with resolve.
