Saras and Kumud: The episode begins with Saras gazing at Kumud as she receives two letters in the mail. Concerned, Saras approaches her and asks what happened. Kumud reveals that one letter contains divorce hearing papers, while the other is from the hospital, requiring her signature as Pramad’s wife. She is torn between signing the hospital papers as his wife or proceeding with the divorce. Saras and Kumud find themselves in a dilemma. Kumud quietly walks inside, leaving Saras deep in thought.

Meanwhile, at Pramad’s house, he is being treated by a doctor. Murakh Das hands him his medicine, but Pramad angrily refuses, throwing the medicine away. His parents, Budhidhan and his wife, rush in. His mother, distressed, asks why he didn’t inform them about his condition. She adds that if Murakh Das hadn’t called, they wouldn’t have known. Pramad sarcastically tells them they should be happy as their mistake—him—will soon be gone forever. Budhidhan insists that nothing will happen to him, urging him to take his medicine, but Pramad refuses. Frustrated, Budhidhan asks what he really wants, while his mother pleads with him to take the medicine, saying she will do whatever he asks. Pramad smirks and asks if she truly means it.

Meanwhile, Kumud sits in her room, staring at the letters. Chandrika enters and speaks about the engagement decorations before leaving. Soon after, Badimaa arrives and asks Kumud to come with her. Vidyachatur is on a phone call with a pandit, discussing engagement plans. He tells Kumud that the pandit suggested the engagement take place at the temple, but he believes hosting it in their home’s hall would be better. Kumud agrees, confirming they will do it in the hall. She then asks about Kusum’s whereabouts.

Saras approaches Kumud and tells her that she has a third option—to focus on Kusum’s engagement today and forget all worries. Meanwhile, at Pramad’s house, he shocks his parents by expressing his desire to have Kumud back. Back at home, Saras takes the letters from Kumud, reassuring her that all her worries are his for today. Badimaa smiles, and everyone else watches them warmly. Kumud, deciding to set aside her troubles, joins Saras in preparing for the engagement. Badimaa encourages everyone to assist Kumud.

Inside Kusum’s room, she sits heartbroken, clutching a peacock feather and crying. Danny sees her crying and misunderstands the situation. Watching from outside, Kalika smirks, realizing the tension. She comments on Saras’ ability to understand Kumud’s emotions without words, whereas Danny is completely unaware of Kusum’s true feelings. Kalika then decides to intervene and help Danny. Meanwhile, Saras assigns Danny to assist Kumari with the engagement preparations.

Saras smiles at Kumud but senses her lingering sadness. Badimaa urges him to get ready. He assures her that today is a happy day, and he doesn’t want any unnecessary questions raised about him, so he decides to leave. Kumud asks Kumari to help Kusum get ready. Danny, looking dejected, stands nearby. Guniyal notices Kumud’s anxiety and takes her aside to talk.

Guniyal gently asks Kumud to get ready, but Kumud refuses, saying she has work to do. Saras then comes to Kumud, holding a gift. He tells her that while everyone else is wearing new clothes, she hasn’t bought anything for herself. Smiling, he hands her a new outfit. Kumud, touched by the gesture, admires the clothes and compliments their beauty. Saras playfully responds that they will look even more beautiful once she wears them. He then asks if she feels better now. Kumud nods, but as Saras prepares to leave, she asks him to stay a little longer. However, he insists on leaving, promising that no matter where he is, he will always be with her.

Meanwhile, in her room, Kusum continues crying while getting dressed. She reminisces about Saras and his words, touching the kamarbandh as tears stream down her face. Danny enters and asks why she is crying when she chose to get engaged. Locking the door, he demands to know the truth. Kusum, irritated, tells him to stop being childish and asks why he locked the door. Danny confronts her, saying that she knows she is making a mistake and questions why she is hiding their love. Kusum is shocked.

Saras looks around for Danny while the guests welcome the groom’s family. Kusum, shaken, asks Danny what he means. Danny boldly confesses his love, but Kusum denies feeling the same way, claiming they are only friends. Danny, devastated, reminds her that she once admitted she loved him. Kusum insists that she never said that and is doing all of this for Kumud’s sake. Danny, confused, asks for an explanation, but Kusum tells him he wouldn’t understand. She tries to leave, but Danny refuses to let go, expressing how much her denial is hurting him. Just then, Saras opens the door and sees them together.

Saras demands to know what is happening. Danny, frustrated, insists that Kusum is making a mistake. Kusum tries to deny it, but Danny points out that she was crying when he entered. Saras questions Danny’s assumption, stating that Kusum willingly chose Mohan and that the family is happy with the match. He tells Kusum to come downstairs soon, wishing her all the happiness in the world. As Saras and Danny leave, Kusum silently mourns, thinking that her true happiness lies with Saras, making it impossible for her to accept anyone else.

Back at Pramad’s house, his parents panic when they see him coughing violently, blood trickling from his mouth. Budhidhan, terrified, calls the doctor and pleads with Pramad to take his medication. However, Pramad’s only request is for his mother to fulfill her promise and bring Kumud back.

Saras tells Danny not to act impulsively. Just then, Saras receives a phone call and steps away. Meanwhile, Kalika approaches Danny, planting seeds of doubt in his mind. Saras returns, urging Danny to leave with him.

At home, Kumud notices everyone enjoying the festivities. The phone rings, and she moves to answer it, but the call ends before she picks up. Saras arrives, and the two exchange silent glances. He reassures her that everything is fine, and she nods in response. Danny joins them, and Kalika and Badimaa insist that Saras leave Danny behind to help with the engagement. Saras agrees, signaling Danny to take good care of things before leaving. Shortly after, Saras receives another call—this time from Budhidhan.

Budhidhan expresses concern, explaining that Pramad is adamant about seeing Kumud. He pleads with Saras to talk to her, as she is likely to listen to him. Pramad’s mother also calls Kumud, tearfully requesting her to visit Pramad in his critical condition. Kumud, deeply conflicted, rushes outside. She meets Saras, who understands her turmoil, and she urgently tells him about Pramad.

Meanwhile, the engagement ceremony begins. Danny, heartbroken, watches Kusum closely. Kusum anxiously looks for Kumud, but Kumari assures her that she will come. However, as the ceremony proceeds, Kusum remains distressed. Danny struggles to hide his emotions, and when the engagement rings are exchanged, Kusum drops hers. The ring rolls near Danny’s feet, and Kalika notices him hesitating to return it, smirking at the situation.

At Pramad’s house, Saras and Kumud arrive. Kumud remembers all the torment she endured at Pramad’s hands. Saras reassures her that he is with her. Pramad, weak but pleased, sees Kumud and immediately thanks her for coming. His mother expresses her gratitude as well. Budhidhan acknowledges Saras for keeping his word. Pramad then apologizes to Kumud, but she remains hesitant.

Meanwhile, back at the engagement, everyone applauds as Kusum and Mohan exchange rings, sealing their engagement.

Kumud, handing Pramad’s father the hospital letter, informs them that the divorce hearing is scheduled for the next day. As she prepares to leave, Pramad looks at her longingly, while Saras stands by her side.
