Saras and Kumud

The episode begins with Kumud making a shocking request to Saras—she asks him to marry Kusum. Saras is taken aback and refuses, saying they will find a suitable match for her instead. However, Kumud insists that it is too late. She pleads with Saras, saying that Kusum’s life is at stake, and she cannot let her sister die. Saras is heartbroken and questions how Kumud could even think of such a thing when he loves her. But Kumud stands firm, stating that Kusum has no other option and that she will support her sister at any cost.

Kumud reminds Saras that he once promised to protect Kusum in times of trouble. Saras, devastated, argues that if he agrees, it would break him completely. Kumud reassures him that he would only be doing this for her. Saras is deeply hurt and walks away without giving her an answer. Kumud cries, pleading for his response.

Meanwhile, Danny stops Mohan’s car, confronting him about breaking the wedding based on a video. Mohan, however, remains firm, saying he cannot proceed with the marriage. Kusum, heartbroken, tries to remove her bridal bangles, feeling unworthy. Kumud consoles her, revealing that she has already asked Saras to marry her. Kusum is shocked but hopeful, asking if Saras has agreed. Kumud smiles, saying he will agree soon because he cares for her.

Saras, on the other hand, is tormented by Kumud’s words. He feels suffocated by the thought of marrying someone else and prays for strength to make a decision.

As the situation escalates, Ratnaben taunts Kumud’s family, shaming them for Kusum’s broken wedding. She even proposes a marriage for Kusum with her brother. Saras steps in, silencing Ratnaben, declaring that Kusum will be married today to someone who will truly care for her. His words leave everyone in shock, especially Kumud. He asks the family to prepare for the wedding and leaves.

Kumud tells the family that Kusum loves Saras and that her happiness lies with him. Badimaa questions how Saras could agree to this, and Kumud reveals that she convinced him. Badimaa strongly opposes the decision, believing that Saras cannot live without Kumud. But Kumud insists that fate has always brought Saras and Kusum together. Her mother, Guniyal, asks if she will be able to live without Saras, and Kumud replies that she must fulfill her duty as Pramad’s wife.

The wedding preparations begin, and everyone watches as Kusum and the groom sit at the mandap. Kalika is delighted, believing that Kumud is suffering while Saras is marrying Kusum. Kumud tries to remain composed, but Badimaa is unable to watch and walks away. Pramad approaches Kumud, acknowledging her sacrifices and wishing that she and Saras could be together. He vows to find out who sent the video that ruined Kusum’s wedding.

As the rituals proceed, Kumud notices a familiar smiley on the groom’s hand, just like the one Saras once made for her. The realization shocks her. The pheras begin, and Kusum beams with happiness. Kumud, however, is lost in her memories of Saras. The groom applies sindoor on Kusum’s forehead and ties the mangalsutra, completing the wedding. The pandit declares them husband and wife. Kumud watches in silent heartbreak, recalling her moments with Saras.

As Kusum prepares to leave with her husband, she thanks Kumud for fulfilling her wish. Kumud bids her farewell with a heavy heart. However, as Kusum and her husband drive away, Kumud calls Danny—only to hear the groom’s phone ring. The shocking truth dawns on her.

Later, Kumud isolates herself, unable to process the events. She sees visions of Saras and begs him to leave, believing they have parted ways. She clings to his mother’s anklet, the only piece of him she has left. Meanwhile, Saras confides in his mother’s spirit, expressing his sorrow. He admits that he agreed to this marriage only for Kumud’s sake, hoping Kusum finds happiness. However, he also knows that a loveless marriage brings nothing but pain, something he does not wish for Kusum.

The episode ends with Saras in anguish, torn between love and duty, while Kumud grieves over what she has lost.
