Sayali calmly responds that she’s not alone—her husband, Sachin, stands by her. She then asks Sachin to tie a simple black thread around her neck instead. Sachin obliges.

Paresh questions her choice, asking if she’ll now wear a thread in place of a gold mangalsutra. Sayali explains that due to their financial status, she cannot wear gold at this time. She says it’s a matter of her self-respect and her father’s dignity—he worked hard to raise them with values, and it’s her duty to uphold that. When Paresh turns to Renu, asking if she’s satisfied now, Renu dismisses the moment as drama and insists Sayali wear her mangalsutra.

But Sayali stands firm. She says her bond with Sachin isn’t defined by gold jewelry; any thread tied by him is sacred to her. She adds that she will wear only the jewelry purchased with Sachin’s hard-earned money, not gifts from others. Together, they will build their lives, and when he can afford it, he’ll buy her a gold mangalsutra—until then, the thread will suffice. She also mentions that the earrings she’s wearing were given by Aaji, and no one has the right to question them. She warns that if anyone speaks against her father or family, she won’t stay silent—she knows how to respond. With that, she leaves. Sachin follows her. Paresh smiles subtly, while Renu fumes.

Outside, Sachin praises Sayali for standing up to Renu and assures her of his support. Sayali, emotional, hugs him as he comforts her. He jokingly asks her to start writing a list of the gold jewelry she desires—even up to 50 tolas, he’ll get it all in time. Sayali says a mangalsutra is enough for her. Sachin insists she still make a list so he knows what to work toward. She agrees and begins writing.

He reminds her to include the bangles she had mortgaged—Renu had made some remarks about them. Sachin expresses his frustration that he doesn’t have enough money at the moment to buy her jewelry immediately, as he’s tied up with loan installments. Sayali reassures him that she will help too. But he tells her not to stress herself—he just wants to understand their financial goals. He suggests saving through chit funds but acknowledges the risk, adding they’ll deposit the money in a bank instead. He vows to handle Renu, so Sayali shouldn’t worry. She proudly says that’s exactly why she made the challenge—because she knows her husband will fulfill it.

Sachin jokes about her fiery temper and asks if she’s finished the list. When she confirms, he teases that he asked for a jewelry list, not a grocery list. He promises to buy the mangalsutra this very month and gradually fulfill the rest. He then advises her to consult him before throwing challenges at Renu in the future so they can face things together. Trying to lighten the mood, he asks her to smile—and when she does, he kisses her and leaves.

The next morning, Sayali is in the kitchen preparing breakfast. Renu comes in and asks her to boil water for Riya since the power is out and the geyser isn’t working. Sayali replies that the electricity will be back shortly. Renu argues, but Sayali boils the water and calls for Riya. Riya thanks her, explaining about the geyser issue. Sachin watches silently. As Riya is about to take the water, Renu stops her, insisting Sayali carry it instead. Sachin observes the exchange quietly.
