Anupama update Monday 26 May 2025

The episode begins with Prem and Rahi on their way to a wedding. He gives her a hairband, and she ties her hair while smiling. As they pass a corn cart stall, Rahi stops to get some corn. Prem slips, and she quickly holds him. Meanwhile, Mahi imagines Prem in Anu Ki Rasoi, smiling as she daydreams. Anupama calls her, reminding her to focus on her work as the carrots are running out. Mahi reassures her that she’s fine, and Anupama tells her to take care before hanging up. Mahi softly says, “Prem… I miss you so much. Please come back soon.” She adds, “Rahi’s with you, and that makes me even more stressed, but it’s okay because I’m supposed to be with you on this journey.”

At the wedding, Rahi and Prem are busy arranging the catering. Anupama’s childhood friend arrives and hugs Rahi, calling her like a daughter. The bride expresses how happy she is that Anupama is doing the catering and praises her work. Rahi admires the bride’s interfaith marriage, acknowledging how difficult it is for parents to accept such unions. The bride shares that she initially had doubts about whether her daughter would adjust to a different culture but was reassured when she met the groom. She asks Rahi and Prem to make the food unforgettable for all the guests. They inform the bride that they didn’t bring any wedding clothes, and she offers to arrange them. Anupama tells Mahi that Rahi and Prem will attend the wedding, even though she can’t. Mahi responds, saying Rahi will have palak paneer with Prem while she works on cutting vegetables.

Rahi and Prem return to each other, dressed for the wedding. Prem gestures that Rahi looks great, and she returns the compliment. Mahi tries calling Prem but feels ignored as he doesn’t pick up. Photographers arrive and ask Rahi and Prem to pose for some pre-wedding photos to test the lighting. They pose, and the photographers suggest they look like a bride and groom. Someone even takes a photo of them, and a photographer jokingly asks Prem to kiss Rahi. As they see the groom’s family arrive, they excuse themselves. Meanwhile, Mahi looks at the photo of Rahi and Prem and feels uneasy. Pakhi asks Mahi if she’s okay and suggests she check social media for posts by the guests. Mahi sees the photo of Prem and Rahi posing romantically and contemplates going to the wedding venue.

The groom notices Prem, who is looking at Rahi. Prem quickly looks down when the groom spots him. Rahi asks what’s going on, and Prem tells her his shoelace is undone. As she walks away, Prem is approached by Jojo, who says he tried to reach him but couldn’t since Prem had changed his number. Prem asks Jojo not to tell anyone that they know each other. Rahi returns and asks what’s going on, and Jojo quickly excuses himself. Prem silently hopes Jojo didn’t contact Khalnayak.

Back home, Anupama notices Mahi looking upset. Mahi confides that she doesn’t feel right and is feeling sad. Anupama reassures her, saying it’s okay and that Mahi will be fine soon, just like always.

Prem and Rahi watch the bride walk down the aisle for her Catholic wedding. As the bride and groom prepare to exchange vows, Prem imagines himself and Rahi in the same position. In his imagination, they share vows, agreeing to accept each other as they are, trust one another, and prioritize their relationship. Rahi humorously interrupts, asking why he keeps saying “I do” over and over. She reminds him that they need to check the food, and he snaps back to reality.

The bride and groom exchange vows, and the priest asks Prem if he accepts Rahi as his wife. Prem imagines a perfect marriage with Rahi but then quickly returns to reality. Rahi heads to check on the food, and Prem says that every wedding touches his heart. Rahi reflects on how, as a child, she admired the love her father had for her mother and imagined one day finding a man who would love her like that. Prem questions her about marriage, and she explains that in today’s world, finding true love is rare, comparing it to the love of Radha and Krishna. She asks him to focus on the food, and as they chat, Prem notices the bride throwing her bouquet. Rahi catches it, and the bride tells her that she will get married soon too. Prem silently hopes this prediction comes true.

The bride invites Rahi to dance, even though Rahi initially refuses. Eventually, Rahi and Prem share a romantic dance while everyone else watches. The guests record their dance, and the atmosphere becomes lighthearted. The groom, Jojo, approaches Prem, teasing him about the chemistry between him and Rahi. He jokes that Prem has fallen in love. Jojo wonders where Prem has been hiding all this time, and Prem responds cryptically, saying that the weight of a big surname is too much, which is why he’s just “Prem” and nothing else.

Back at home, Mahi watches their dance video and feels her heartache deepening. Rahi, lost in the moment, wonders why she can’t seem to control her emotions. Prem and Jojo share a hug, and the episode ends on this bittersweet note.
