Jhanak update Sunday 18 May 2025

The episode opens with Brij and Jhanak in a heartfelt conversation. Jhanak, visibly emotional, asks why it seems like everyone in her life leaves her. She begins to cry and expresses how hard her journey has been. “Now you’re saying you’ll leave me too… maybe I’ll die before you,” she says, her voice breaking. Brij stops her gently and reassures her, “Alright, I won’t say that again. I promise, I’ll always be by your side. Are you happy now? Now give me the prasad.” She nods silently.

Meanwhile, at Shrishti’s home, she mentions having ordered a saree for the next day’s special occasion. Arshi compliments her, saying she’ll look amazing. Shrishti mentions that Vinayak has made all the plans. Vinayak teases that it’s a surprise. Shrishti asks if she knows the guests he’s referring to. He tells her she might, but she never took an interest in his family. She urges him not to embarrass her. Vinayak hints there’s more to the surprise than she expects, saying he’s arranged a “thali” and it’s up to her what she accepts or rejects. Arshi praises their love, and Shrishti affirms it. Vinayak adds that he fell for her the moment they met, and he never asked about her past. Shrishti smugly says he wouldn’t find anything even if he tried. Vinayak, however, thinks to himself that her secrets are finally coming to light.

Arshi changes the subject, saying she saw Anirudh with Nutan at the temple, and they were performing a puja together. Shrishti, a little disturbed, says she’s never had to worry about Vinayak, as he was always just focused on work. But she questions why Anirudh was at the temple with Nutan and why Arshi can’t keep him in check. Vinayak suggests that maybe Anirudh just gave her a lift. Shrishti isn’t convinced, saying Anirudh doesn’t even know Nutan that well.

Elsewhere, Lalon is arguing over the phone about a payment. Anuradha overhears and advises him not to start any fights. Just then, Bablu and Appu arrive home. Bablu tells Appu he’ll take her out again soon and hugs her. He asks Lalon if there’s a problem. Lalon and Anuradha fill him in. Lalon then receives a call from Bittu and gets agitated. Appu, noticing, remarks she’s never seen him so angry.

Later, Brij reminds Jhanak that they have to attend Vinayak’s event tomorrow. Jhanak refuses. Brij insists they go, saying it’s important and they can’t run from the truth. He sympathizes with Vinayak’s situation. Meanwhile, Shrishti talks to Arshi, saying that now they’re planning for a baby, Arshi should talk openly with Anirudh and avoid secrets. Vinayak suddenly coughs. Arshi says she’ll leave now to check on Anirudh. After she leaves, Shrishti and Vinayak share a laugh.

Back at Brij’s home, he mutters that being Shrishti’s husband is a curse. Jhanak asks if he ever loved her. He responds that he never did, and he can’t even bear to see her face. She points out that he also couldn’t love Urvashi. Brij defends himself, saying he did love Urvashi, but circumstances pulled them apart and he could never express it. He regrets not protecting her from Kul and promises revenge. Jhanak tries to calm him.

Bablu urges Lalon to go to the police about his issue. Appu jumps in, upset that the police couldn’t even help Jhanak. She claims Jhanak is alive and fooling everyone, and says Nutan is actually Jhanak in disguise. Lalon agrees. Bablu, trying to avoid conflict, tells her to go play. Anuradha and Bablu reassure Appu, but she continues to insist she’s right.

Later, Jhanak shares with Brij that she saw Anirudh and even performed a puja for him, just as he did for her. Brij looks concerned. Lalon says he has to pay his staff, and Bablu once again encourages him to file a police complaint. Lalon agrees. Bablu gets a call from Anjana asking about Shrishti and Vinayak’s anniversary celebration. After hanging up, Bablu warns they must be cautious of Shrishti. Anuradha agrees. Appu then starts dancing, declaring she’ll bring Jhanak home. Bablu and Anuradha quietly hope for peace and happiness in the household.

At Arshi’s home, Shubh and Bipasha question her sour mood. They say they’re glad she and Anirudh are finally happy. Lal asks where Anirudh went earlier. Arshi says to ask him directly. When Anirudh enters, Arshi tells everyone she already told her mother and even gave her prasad. Tanuja confirms Anirudh had gone for a temple puja. Arshi and Anirudh get into an argument. She mentions Nutan was there too and that Anirudh wanted to drop her home.

Back with Brij and Jhanak, he sternly tells her that he sees no future with Anirudh. He advises her never to marry him, even if Arshi walks away. Jhanak says she has no intentions of marrying and that she’s accepted her fate. Brij says Arshi will never let her live in peace if she continues to see Anirudh. Jhanak tells him she didn’t go all the way home with Anirudh and got off the car midway. Arshi had seen them together and behaved rudely. Jhanak says she realized she was wrong and came straight home. Brij praises her decision and reminds her to stay strong — she is Nutan now, not Jhanak.
