Jhanak update Monday 18 May 2025

The episode begins with Arshi stating that she and her family have no connection with Nutan, and even Shrishti had a fallout with Guru ji and doesn’t wish to maintain any ties. She adds that even Guru ji wasn’t aware of Nutan’s existence. Anirudh replies that if that’s the case, then the issue should be resolved. He questions why her mother is still upset and tells Arshi to stop making excuses. “We were there too,” he says, “let’s stop talking about someone else’s family.” Tension rises as Anirudh and Arshi argue.

Shubh interrupts and tells Anirudh not to compare Arshi with Jhanak. Anirudh clarifies that he’s just explaining things. Arshi reminds him that she introduced him to Jhanak in the first place. Tanuja asks Anirudh about giving Nutan a ride. Anirudh sarcastically remarks about Lal and Bipasha’s attitude and says he has a soft spot for Nutan because she resembles Jhanak.

Dadi walks in, noticing the commotion, and says it’s good to see Anirudh talking so much—he’s clearly recovering. Arshi agrees but mentions the situation remains unchanged. Dadi tells Anirudh to move forward with life and bring someone new into the house. She complains that Lal and Bipasha never listen to her and urges Anirudh to fulfill her wish. Tanuja supports Dadi. Anirudh gets up to leave. Shubh tells him to keep Arshi happy. Anirudh responds sarcastically, asking Arshi to trust him and not create drama over trivial matters. He finally says, “Nutan is Jhanak’s sister.”

Elsewhere, Rumi, Mimi, and their friends are at a café. Mimi spots Dr. Sen and prompts her friends to sing loudly. She sends the waiter to present the bill to Dr. Sen, planning to make him pay and exact some petty revenge. She lies to her friends about being engaged and encourages them to order a lavish meal. When the food arrives, she reminds them to give the bill to Dr. Sen, who the waiter confirms is a regular customer.

At home, Appu speaks to her doll named Jhanak and feels emotional. Anirudh, alone in his room, is in tears thinking about Jhanak. Appu believes Anirudh needs to confess his feelings directly to Jhanak. Meanwhile, Anirudh struggles with his emotions and says, “Jhanak, you need to come in front of me.”

Arshi witnesses him and becomes emotional. “Don’t start again,” she says, holding back tears. Appu hears a romantic song playing on the radio and vows to unite Anirudh and Jhanak, declaring their love story won’t remain tragic. She goes to speak to Anuradha.

At the café, Mimi and friends enjoy their meal while Dr. Sen chats with his friend Raghav. When Raghav asks about his marriage plans, Dr. Sen responds that he hasn’t met anyone extraordinary yet. As the meal ends, Mimi anticipates fun when the bill is handed over.

Back at home, Brij reminds Jhanak that they have to visit Vinayak’s place the next day. Jhanak refuses to go. He insists it’s important for Vinayak’s sake and says they can’t keep running from the truth. Brij sympathizes with Vinayak. Meanwhile, Shrishti advises Arshi that being in a marriage means making efforts. Arshi, frustrated and heartbroken, says she can’t stay in this relationship anymore and wants to start over with someone else. Shrishti urges her to fight for the relationship, even if it means compromise.

At the café, Dr. Sen offers to pay the bill. Mimi pretends to thank him and lies about her friends being grateful too. Raghav excuses himself, leaving them alone.

Arshi vents to Shrishti that Jhanak has overshadowed her life. Shrishti reminds her of her own 25-year-long marriage to Vinayak and says relationships demand effort and compromise. Arshi, hopeful, agrees to try again.

Meanwhile, Kajal visits Lalon and Anuradha’s house, claiming she’s in trouble. She awkwardly asks Lalon to pretend they’re together to scare off a troubling ex-boyfriend. Appu sees Kajal holding Lalon’s hand and gets jealous. Kajal explains her situation, and though Lalon initially refuses to help, Appu tries to convince him. He still says no.

Later, Arshi goes to Anirudh and hugs him. In his half-asleep state, he whispers, “Jhanak, you came.” Realizing it’s Arshi, he pulls back. She pleads with him to give their relationship another chance and says they’re perfect for each other. He quietly replies, “Time has moved on.”
