Jhanak update Tuesday 20 May 2025

The episode begins with Anirudh walking out.
Arshi, feeling overwhelmed, says she can’t handle things anymore. In her imagination, Shrishti appears, sternly telling her to control the situation—especially Anirudh—and to make Jhanak realize her limits. Shrishti warns her that it would be a disgrace if she doesn’t take control. This spurs Arshi into action.

Meanwhile, Kajal leaves.
Appu questions Lalon about why he made Kajal go. Lalon replies that he’s worried and then receives a call from the commissioner. He explains the issue, and the commissioner advises him to lodge a formal complaint, assuring him it will be handled. Appu also asks for the commissioner’s help, saying she wants to find Jhanak and is convinced Nutan is actually Jhanak. She declares that she will attend Shrishti’s party to expose the truth. The commissioner agrees to help, and Appu is thrilled. Lalon apologizes for her enthusiasm, but the commissioner admits he also suspects a connection between Nutan and Jhanak. He adds that they should target Tejas and trap him. Lalon hopes this plan works.

At the anniversary celebration,
Vinayak and Shrishti come downstairs. Arshi wishes them a happy anniversary. Soon, Anirudh and his family arrive and greet the couple. Vinayak asks Anirudh to sing a song, but he initially refuses. Arshi insists, saying it’s her special request.

Just then, Appu and Lalon arrive.
Appu greets Anirudh with a hug and mentions that Kajal helped her get ready. Lalon explains that he brought Appu along because she insisted. Appu then wishes Shrishti, who tells her to behave. When Lalon wishes her too, Shrishti sarcastically comments on his lack of etiquette, hinting he should learn high-society manners. Appu offers to sing instead of Anirudh, but Shrishti tries to stop her, claiming Bengali songs aren’t suitable. Appu insists she knows Hindi songs too. Arshi defends her right to sing, and Shrishti jokes, leading to a witty retort from Appu. Anirudh encourages both Lalon and Appu to sing.

Choton and Mrinalini enter next.
Shrishti remarks that they’re always together. Choton replies that Mrinalini is his fiancée. They present a gift. Shrishti subtly belittles them. Appu, still focused, asks about Nutan. Arshi says their father invited her, so she will come. Anirudh, on the other hand, internally confesses that seeing Nutan always reminds him of Jhanak.

The mood shifts when Vinayak teases a big surprise.
Shrishti guesses it might be a luxury villa. Vinayak just smiles, hinting that a special guest will unveil the surprise. Just then, Jhanak—disguised as Nutan—arrives, stunning everyone with her presence. Anirudh immediately walks over to greet her, while Shrishti and Arshi become visibly uncomfortable.

Brij also enters with her.
Vinayak warmly welcomes them and thanks them for attending. Jhanak congratulates him, and he compliments her appearance. Shrishti pulls Arshi aside and questions the need to invite them. Arshi explains it was her father’s decision. Shrishti warns her to stay alert, pointing out Anirudh has already gone over to Nutan.

As the Bose family discusses Nutan’s arrival,
Lalon and Appu perform the song “Tere Mere Milan Ki Yeh Raina.” Everyone applauds. Appu then spots Jhanak and approaches her. Jhanak continues acting as Nutan. Anjana intervenes and takes Appu away. Choton and Mrinalini notice the resemblance and feel sympathy for Anirudh.

Anirudh greets Brij, and Vinayak instructs him to take care of their guests.
When asked to sing, Anirudh again refuses. But Jhanak gently encourages him, saying they’d all love to hear him. Bipasha and Arshi also push him, mentioning that even Nutan seems interested. Anirudh finally agrees and sings “Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas.” Arshi becomes frustrated, thinking Anirudh is obsessed with Nutan. She silently wishes to become pregnant, believing it might make Anirudh stay with her.

As Anirudh sings, he gazes at Nutan, thinking only of Jhanak.
Everyone applauds the performance. Vinayak announces it’s time for cake-cutting. Shrishti reminds him he hasn’t revealed the surprise yet. He says the time has come and calls everyone’s attention.

Vinayak begins a speech.
He shares a heartfelt story about a poor man who rose through hard work, met a woman at a party, and fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He supported her career ambitions, even when she went away for training. But when she returned, she reunited with her first husband—the one she truly loved.

Shrishti is left in shock. Everyone stares at her.

Brij quietly tells Jhanak that Shrishti already knows who she really is and should feel ashamed.
Shrishti, maintaining her poise, thinks that Jhanak’s arrival won’t disrupt her life or happiness with Vinayak.
