Saras and Kumud update Wednesday 4 June 2025
The episode begins with Danny angrily confronting Saras and asking Kusum to pack their belongings. Saras is stunned by this sudden demand. Danny storms out in anger. Kumud urges Saras to go after him and stop him from leaving. She insists that Saras must tell Danny he cannot leave the house. Saras breaks down in tears, saying Danny called him his stepbrother and that he feels shattered. He shares how Danny grew up in his lap and how his happiness has now vanished. Kumud comforts him.
Kusum then scolds Danny, asking how he could treat Saras this way after all he has done for them—more than any biological brother would—and how Danny could reject his love like this. Kumud reminds Danny that Saras is his own blood and encourages forgiveness. Saras responds that he has forgiven Danny many times, but Danny keeps hurting him. He feels misunderstood and says if their relationship is false in Danny’s eyes, then he should just go.
Kumud encourages Saras to listen carefully, saying that Saraswatichandra loves deeply and unconditionally. She recalls all that Saras endured at Pramad’s house just to protect her from pain. Kumud argues that Danny cannot just leave the family like this and insists that Saras must not let him go. Kusum joins in, asking Kumud to help stop Danny.
Danny comes downstairs with his bag, ready to leave. Ghuman tries to intervene, telling Danny that what he’s doing is wrong and to stop. Kumud asks Saras to intervene, and Saras stops Danny. Saras explains that it’s all a misunderstanding and folds his hands in apology. He tells Danny that he had gone to catch the man behind the drug scandal and share everything with him, but Kumud called to say Kabir had caught the culprit and secured Danny’s release. Saras admits he doesn’t understand how Kabir managed to get to the police station from the jungle, and Kumud wonders the same.
Saras says he came straight home to meet Danny and pleads for forgiveness, asking Danny not to be angry. Danny starts to leave again, but Saras stops him, saying he doesn’t need to go anywhere because Kumud and he will leave the house instead. Ghuman is shocked by this announcement. Saras asks Kumud to pack her bag as they prepare to leave, apologizing to Kusum before heading to his room.
Kusum talks to Danny, while Kumud tells Saras she cannot leave him. She explains that when she wore his mother’s anklet, she promised not to let the family break apart—if that happened, she would not be able to face anyone. Saras reluctantly agrees, saying he will go alone if Kumud won’t come. Kumud prays to Maa for strength to save their home. Badimaa appears with Guniyal and tells Saras he will not be allowed to leave. She declares that since Navratri begins tomorrow and lasts for nine days, no one will be permitted to leave during the festival; they must all live together.
Ghuman remarks that Kumud sees Saras as Danny’s entire life, but they don’t even stand united. Badimaa explains that love is often found in fights and hands Kumud Maa’s idol to place in the puja house. Everyone prays together. Kumud reflects that Ambe Maa does not want to separate the brothers and vows to reunite Saras and Danny within the nine days of Navratri. Ghuman doubts it’s possible to mend the growing divide now. Badimaa shares that Navratri brings peace and happiness. Kumud confides everything to her, and Badimaa reassures her with hope and encouragement.
Saras reflects on the words of Kumud and Danny. Kumud urges him to come with her, but he insists he wants to be alone. She refuses to let him be alone, reminding him that he left her alone by choosing to leave the house. He becomes irritated. Kumud reminds him that she married him out of love and responsibility and that she cannot allow his family to break apart. Saras, frustrated, says maybe the family should break, as the two people he loved have already broken his heart. Kumud weeps and asks what he would do if he were in her place. Saras says if his sister did what Kumud did, he would not have stopped her. She insists this distance between them will end.
Later, Saras goes to sleep, and Kumud lies down beside him, trying to talk to him. They argue briefly, but Kumud asks for nine days to fix everything. Saras responds bitterly that nothing will improve and that he plans to leave after nine days. Kumud challenges him to come to the Aarti on time. Saras says he won’t come. She points out that he goes to the temple daily, and he replies that he used to because his mother did, but now he’s losing faith since life has taken away his mother, Danny, and Kumud. He falls asleep, and Kumud quietly hopes that he will come to the Aarti after all.
