Anupama update Saturday 28 June 2025
The episode begins with Anil encouraging Parag to go ahead, telling him, “You’re the best of the best.” Mita sarcastically asks, “Then what are we? Are you just going to flatter him, or actually achieve something?” Anil tells her to be quiet. Mita replies that she is quiet—because no one can speak up during Baa’s rule. Baa gives her a stern look, silencing her completely.
Parag begins flying his kite, and his mother proudly announces that the kite belongs to Parag. Meanwhile, Anupama is helping a young boy fly his kite. Other participants also take to flying their kites. Anupama assists the boy in handling the thread.
Khyati’s mother-in-law tells her to hold the thread reel, implying that a wife should know how to control her husband. Khyati obediently holds it. Parag skillfully cuts the strings of all other kites, leaving only his soaring in the sky. Rahi notices Parag’s kite and excitedly asks Anupama to cut it down. Anupama hesitates, saying the kite looks expensive. Rahi insists.
At the same time, Khyati’s mother-in-law warns Parag about a small kite nearing his. Anil urges him to cut it quickly. Meanwhile, Prem retrieves his phone from a bag of rice at a store and thanks the shopkeeper. He switches it on and immediately calls Rahi. She answers, telling him she’s at the Kothari residence and points out that Anupama is about to cut the tiger kite. Curious, Prem asks whose kite it is, but Rahi doesn’t know.
Parag reminisces about his son, Tinku (aka Prem), who once encouraged him to cut down all the kites in the sky. He softly replies, “Yes, Tinku.” His mother suggests he call his son since he misses him. But Parag emotionally responds that he didn’t leave because of his son’s wishes, and won’t return at his request either.
Suddenly, Anupama cuts Parag’s kite. Shocked, Prem watches, and Parag is stunned to see his string snapped. Anupama cheers the boy, telling him his kite is now flying freely. Parag silently clutches the severed thread.
Anupama encourages the boy to retrieve the fallen kite. Onlookers are amazed, noting that no one had ever managed to defeat Parag’s kite before. Anupama proudly tells the boy she’ll get the kite for him. As Parag approaches, everyone gathers around. Rahi quickly ends her call with Prem. The boy retrieves the fallen kite and thanks Anupama. She smiles and replies, “You’re welcome.”
One of the guests asks Anupama if she was the one who cut Parag’s kite. Realizing what she’s done, Anupama apologizes. Another guest says no one had ever beaten Parag bhai before, and that Anupama deserves a reward. She politely declines, saying the boy’s happiness is reward enough.
Parag interrupts and tells Anil to give Anupama a cash prize for her work, but commands that food prepared by her should not be served to him. Instead, he orders food from a five-star hotel. He instructs that the meal she made be distributed among the staff. Gautam offers to pay and send the food away. Rahi grabs his hand and demands, “How dare you?” Others ask her to let go. Parag angrily pulls Gautam toward him and offers Anupama the money directly.
Anupama responds firmly. She explains that the kite competition means different things to different people. She says he may have kept a prize, but she wasn’t competing for money. She flew the kite to bring joy to a child—that was her true reward. Janki Behen praises her words.
Anupama then addresses the food issue. She says that the entire team worked hard and stayed up all night preparing it, and it shouldn’t be disrespected. “Nobody has the right to insult food,” she asserts, asking what wrong they had done to deserve such treatment.
Parag accuses Anupama of flying a kite bigger than her status. He angrily lists her “offenses”: insulting Baa in public, damaging his car with her scooter, and her daughter entering his son-in-law’s room. He says he can forgive anything—but not an insult to his mother. He demands she leave.
Anupama refuses. She says he has listed many excuses for his anger, but not the real one. She declares that the actual issue is not what happened with Baa, because if it were, they wouldn’t have been invited to cook there in the first place. The truth, she says, is that he cannot tolerate being defeated—especially by a woman. “It’s your ego that’s hurt,” she says boldly.
He warns her not to test his patience. She responds, “Don’t test mine either.” She adds that today they saw Lord Shrinath ji’s darshan and prays that next time, he graces the home of a poor man or a small shopkeeper. Rahi echoes, “And may we never have to see you people again.” They leave together.
At home, Prem returns and asks where Anupama and Rahi are. Mahi offers him tea, but he is clearly worried. Toshu and others joke that Anupama might come home showered in diamonds from the Kotharis. Just then, Anupama and Rahi arrive.
The family asks what they brought back. Rahi silences Toshu. Anupama and Rahi then share everything that happened at the Kothari house. Toshu says they should’ve endured it quietly. Rahi challenges him, asking if he would’ve stayed silent if someone called him a thief. Toshu accuses her of having a big ego. Toshu and Pakhi go on to blame both Anupama and Rahi for the confrontation.
