Saras and Kumud update Wednesday 9 July 2025
The episode begins with Menka revealing to Kumud and Saras the story of Ghuman, who was once known as Roopmati in Chandni Bazaar. Ghuman was famous there, attracting many businessmen who came to watch her dance. One day, Laxminandan’s friend urged him to see Ghuman perform, but Laxminandan didn’t even glance at her that day. This deeply wounded Ghuman’s pride. She had hoped to become his wife and tried to get close to him by visiting his office and hangouts. Despite knowing Laxminandan was happy with his family—especially since Saraswati was expecting—Ghuman grew jealous. Unable to contain herself, she stole the baby and handed him over to Daima to be killed. Later, Menka took the baby from Daima.
Menka explains that Ghuman crafted a flawless plan. Laxminandan believed Saraswati was negligent and that her baby had died. Even Saraswati herself thought the same, which caused a rift between her and Laxminandan. Ghuman pretended to support him while poisoning his mind against Saraswati. Menka reveals that Saraswati discovered Ghuman’s affair with Laxminandan and, devastated, committed suicide. Saras is overwhelmed with emotion and starts crying. Menka says that when Kabir learned the truth from her, he came seeking revenge for his mother’s death.
She continues, explaining that Kabir’s arrival is why he is taking Ghuman with him to the UK. Menka pleads with Saras to save Kabir. Saras reassures her that nothing will happen to Kabir but admits they lied to Menka to uncover the truth from her. Now they must stop Kabir, as Saras doesn’t want his hands stained with Ghuman’s blood. He tries calling Kabir but the phone is unreachable—likely because Kabir is boarding a flight. Saras turns to Menka and accuses her of raising Kabir to seek revenge against her own sister. He hands her the passport and leaves with Kumud. Menka smiles, declaring she dedicated her whole life to this plan—being oppressed by Ghuman all these years, now it’s her turn. She says Kabir cannot stop now; he must kill Ghuman.
Meanwhile, Badimaa reflects on Saraswati’s baby. Vidyachatur and Guniyal have a casual conversation. Vidyachatur notices the smell of gas and rushes to open the windows. Guniyal asks Badimaa why she was distracted, and Badimaa admits she didn’t notice the milk boiling over and the gas continuing to run. Guniyal suspects something is troubling her, especially since she was crying the previous day about Saraswati. Badimaa initially denies it but eventually shares the truth about Saraswati’s baby being swapped with a dead one by Ghuman. Vidyachatur and Guniyal are shocked and appalled by Ghuman’s cruelty. Badimaa says Menka saved the baby, though they don’t know where he is or if he’s still alive.
She explains that if the baby is alive, they must find him. She mentions that Saras and Kumud went to meet Menka to get answers. Ghuman, meanwhile, contemplates Kabir and vows to repay him double what he gave her.
On the way, Saras and Kumud are determined to stop Kabir. Kumud checks the UK flight schedule and realizes the flight has already departed. Saras spots Ghuman and angrily confronts her, stopping her car. Ghuman asks if Saras intends to kill her, and he coldly replies that he could. Ghuman reminds him she is his mother, but Saras retorts that Danny will hate her if he learns the truth. Ghuman asks what truth he means. Saras exposes her, saying that when her mother’s love failed, Ghuman switched her brother with a dead baby, blaming Saraswati. Because of this, her father left her mother, who then committed suicide. Saras says that despite everything, she believes her brother is alive.
Ghuman confirms that Kabir is alive and that she knew this before Saras and Kumud did. She claims Menka deceived her. Ghuman confesses she overheard Menka speaking to Kabir on the phone, instructing him to kill Ghuman on his birthday. Ghuman smiles ominously.
