Jhanak update Saturday 12 July 2025

The episode begins with Ketki performing aarti for Vihaan and Jhanak. As she swings the aarti plate, it accidentally hits Jhanak on the forehead, causing her to cry out in pain. Ketki mocks her, saying she can’t even bear such a small discomfort. She then takes baby Ahaan from Jhanak, and he immediately starts crying. Ketki blames Jhanak for teaching him such behavior. Bhavesh steps in, questioning what a baby could possibly learn at that age. Ketki retorts that Jhanak doesn’t understand the strength of motherhood, claiming a mother can shape her child however she wants. Prachi tries to ease the tension and invites Jhanak inside.

Sejal comments on Jhanak’s saree, admiring it and asking if she bought it in America. Sarika corrects her, revealing it’s actually her own saree. She sarcastically remarks that wearing a saree while taking care of a child is impractical, especially since sarees aren’t worn daily in America. Prachi changes the topic, complimenting Jhanak’s beauty.

Vihaan whispers to Jhanak not to feel bad, but she responds coldly, saying she isn’t Avni, so why would she care. Ketki overhears and scolds Jhanak for speaking that way. She questions whether Vihaan ever explained the house rules to his wife. Ketki declares that theirs is a farmer’s household where they also care for cows, and Jhanak will have to do every chore. She sternly warns Jhanak that while getting married might be easy, living in a joint family is not—and her real test starts today. With that, Ketki walks away, followed by the male family members.

Prachi then introduces herself kindly to Jhanak and tells her not to be afraid, expressing confidence that Jhanak will succeed in her new life. Jhanak silently wonders how long she’ll have to endure this situation. Sejal joins in, joking that now she can relax since Jhanak will be handling all the housework. Prachi scolds Sejal for trying to frighten Jhanak.

Elsewhere, Bipasha complains to Laal, saying she can’t stay in the house anymore. She’s upset that Lalon expects her to do chores. Laal advises her to ignore Lalon, but she scolds him for never taking her side. He insists that Lalon has just seen money for the first time and will leave after spending it all. Bipasha isn’t convinced and demands they move out and buy their own flat. When Laal says he can’t afford one, she accuses him of being useless. She suggests a scheme to earn fast money, but Laal refuses, calling it illegal and warning it could land him in jail. She calls him a coward and threatens to leave if he doesn’t stand up for them. He walks out, and she mutters that she’s had enough.

Back at the house, Priyanshi approaches Jhanak, asking for help with her studies. Jhanak agrees. Sejal warns that Ketki won’t like it. Riddhi reveals that Priyanshi secretly practices dance and that she enrolled her in an upcoming dance competition. Priyanshi asks if Jhanak will attend the event. Prachi scolds her for bringing up dancing again. Jhanak gently asks whether dancing is wrong, and Priyanshi inquires if Jhanak herself knows how to dance. Jhanak quietly recalls her past performances and admits she knows a little.

Meanwhile, Anjana offers to cook, and Bablu volunteers to go to the market. But Lalon assigns the task to Shubhankar instead. Shubhankar hesitates, saying he doesn’t know anything about shopping. Lalon insists he must learn. He also orders Tanuja to prepare breakfast. When Aniruddh asks Anjana for tea, Lalon tells him he should now ask Tanuja for such things. He taunts Aniruddh, saying it might be hard for him to watch his parents follow orders. Aniruddh replies calmly that he has no problem with it.

Elsewhere, Mimi visits Dr. Sen and discusses the mounting problems in her family.

Prachi offers food to Jhanak, but she declines, saying she’s not hungry. Prachi warns her that she won’t have time to eat once guests and neighbors start arriving to meet her. Sejal asks if Jhanak used to wear jeans and shirts for work in America. Jhanak stays silent. Sejal warns that she will have to do all the housework here and won’t get any time to rest. Prachi again tries to reassure her and tells Sejal not to frighten her.

Sejal continues questioning Jhanak, asking about her family. Jhanak hesitates, unsure of how to answer since she knows nothing about Avni’s family. Prachi says she heard Jhanak’s mother was unwell. Sejal presses her again, asking how long she plans to stay. She reveals that Ketki intends to keep both Jhanak and Ahaan in the house.

Prachi reminds Sejal that it’s Vihaan’s decision to make. Sejal says that Babuji plans to set up a clinic for Vihaan and asks what Jhanak plans to do in that case. Jhanak responds, saying she will do whatever is asked of her. Sejal then asks about her siblings. Jhanak says she’s an only child, but Prachi says she thought Jhanak had siblings. Sejal concludes that something doesn’t add up and that Jhanak seems scared and is hiding something.
