Jhanak update Sunday 13 July 2025

The episode opens with Sejal asking Jhanak about her siblings. Jhanak struggles to answer, clearly uncomfortable. Prachi shifts the conversation to Jhanak’s education. Jhanak admits she has only studied a little. Just then, Mehak, Vihaan’s sister, arrives and warmly greets Jhanak, complimenting her. Prachi asks Mehak about her husband, and Mehak replies he’s downstairs. She then introduces herself to Jhanak.

Elsewhere, Laal and Bipasha return home, and Choton remarks sarcastically that they’ve come from a breakfast party, showing no concern for their family. Tanuja instructs Bipasha to make breakfast, while Shubhankar tells Laal to go to the market. Laal complains he doesn’t know how to shop and shares that he recently hit a vendor’s cart with his car. The vendor asked for an apology, but Laal refused since he believed it wasn’t his fault.

Ketki hands baby Ahaan to Jhanak and sternly reminds her that if she wants to stay in the house, she must follow the rules. She explains that Prachi usually cooks, and Sejal helps her, but from tomorrow, Jhanak will be responsible for preparing meals. Jhanak agrees. Ketki adds that a muh dikhai ceremony will be held and blames Jhanak for ruining their dreams of Vihaan’s grand wedding. She also criticizes Jhanak’s parents for not reaching out and instructs Jhanak to begin doing chores in the Gaushala starting tomorrow. When Jhanak says she’s willing but needs to be taught, Ketki lashes out at her. Prachi defends Jhanak, saying she’s not familiar with housework. Ketki responds coldly that she won’t allow Vihaan and Ahaan to leave the house, and Jhanak must contribute to stay.

Aniruddh advises Laal to end the vendor issue by apologizing and says everyone must follow the house rules. Lalon steps in, asserting that since they live in his part of the house, his rules apply. Apu echoes the sentiment, adding that now that they’ve become wealthy, Lalon’s word is law. Bipasha snaps back, calling herself the only daughter-in-law of the house, and asks about Arshi’s absence. Lalon says Arshi is unwell but will help later. He then tells Bipasha to go serve food, as Apu needs breakfast.

Meanwhile, Mehak asks Ketki to go easy on Jhanak, while Prachi mentions Jhanak hasn’t eaten anything yet. Ketki says she can eat later. Jhanak, feeling cornered, says she’s not hungry. Sejal scolds her, but Mehak tells Sejal to let it go. Ketki coldly instructs Mehak to go look after her husband instead.

Shubhankar again requests Laal to accompany him to the market. Laal declines, saying he needs to get ready for college, but promises to go the next day. Shubhankar laments that he now sees everyone’s true colors. Laal mocks him, asking if he should become poor like him. He adds that Bablu doesn’t earn enough to support both him and Bipasha. Choton offers to go to the market instead. Anjana hands him the shopping bags, but Lalon takes them and gives them to Shubhankar.

Elsewhere, Dr. Sen tells Mimi that he can’t help with her current dilemma. Mimi clarifies she’s not seeking help but simply wanted to talk. She expresses regret for her past actions. Dr. Sen tells her it’s enough that she doesn’t repeat her mistakes and encourages her to stay busy with work. Mimi apologizes for wasting his time, but he assures her she hasn’t. He then teases her about the medal exchange from their college days, asking if they should take their relationship forward. To her shock, he confesses his love and proposes marriage. Mimi is stunned and says she’s not a good person. He tells her that’s okay—because he is, and he wants her to marry him.

Back in the household, Apu tells Bipasha to serve properly, while Lalon asks Tanuja to help. Tanuja refuses, saying she already cooked, and tells Bipasha to handle serving. Bipasha insists she’s doing both already.

Ketki mentions she’s looking for a groom for Priyanshi so that Vihaan and Ahaan don’t leave. Jhanak is surprised, reminding Ketki that Priyanshi is still a child and asks about her education. Ketki dismisses studies as useless and walks away. Prachi tells Jhanak that Ketki’s decisions are final, and though Priyanshi wants to study, it’s no longer possible. Meher shares her own experience, saying she’s happy in her marriage because her husband is wealthy—and what more does a girl need?
