My Journey to You update Saturday 8 February 2025
My Journey to You: Amruta removes the shawl and is stunned to see Babita. Shocked, she exclaims, “You?” Babita tries to flee, but Amruta stops her, noticing a ring. “This isn’t your ring, right? You didn’t bring the money, did you? It can’t be you… I’m sure it was Kavita,” she insists. “He was devastated when he learned about Kavita. He never imagined you could do this. He feared your heartbreak the most.”
Amruta continues, “He was terrified of telling you. I was scared for him. He was in so much pain. But what hurt him most was that his divorce affected you. He loves you deeply. And yet, you—no, you couldn’t have done this. You hate me, but how could you do this to your own son?” Tears stream down Amruta’s face. “You don’t even have an answer. How can a mother do this to her child? He takes your blame upon himself. He treasures you. He loves you. All this time, he was only worried about you. How do I tell him this? What should I say—why his mother did this? He placed you above everything, even right and wrong. And now, nothing can heal his pain.”
Babita snaps, “Enough! You want money, don’t you? I’ll give you all you want. Just leave my son alone.” She throws money at Amruta as people gather, scrambling to collect it. Bhavani arrives and rushes to comfort Amruta as Babita disappears into the crowd. Looking around for Babita, Amruta sobs, “How will I tell Virat? He will be shattered. She offered me money to stay silent… Should I? I can’t break his heart. He loves his mother too much.” Bhavani hugs her tightly.
Scene 2
Virat, restless, asks Jahan, “Where is Amruta? I can’t let her put herself in danger.” Jahan warns of an approaching storm. Meanwhile, Amruta and Bhavani pray at a temple. Bhavani advises, “A mother’s duty is to protect her child. We should leave and start anew. Virat never has to know the truth about his mother. But the other choice is truth—telling Virat everything. It’s up to you, Amruta. I trust you’ll choose honesty.”
Babita, lost in thought, walks the streets, tears streaming down her face. “I won’t lose my son,” she whispers, breaking down. Meanwhile, Bhavani urges Amruta, “Injustice cannot prevail. Don’t follow my mistakes—be strong. Even if no one believes you, fight for the truth.”
Amruta, determined, says, “You’re right. I’ve learned to stand for the truth, no matter what. Lies will not win.”
As Babita walks, a passing bike splashes mud on her face. She mutters, “Virat was hurt, but Amruta could have destroyed him. I had to protect him from her. She could deceive him, just like Priyanka did. I orchestrated everything to save him. I will do whatever it takes to win.”
Shivani embraces Amruta. “Call Virat and tell him the truth,” she urges. Just then, Jahan calls Amruta, frantic. “Where are you? Virat was worried sick. There’s a storm coming. Kavita is home—who were you chasing?”
Amruta hesitates. “I’m coming home,” she replies. She learns Virat has gone to the festival searching for her and decides to find him there. Bhavani insists, “Tell him the truth.” Amruta searches for Virat while he drives around looking for her. Lost in thought, Amruta crosses the street—just as a truck hurtles toward her.
Virat spots her just in time. He stops his car, rushes over, and scolds her. “What were you doing? Are you okay?” Seeing her tears, he softens, pulling her into an embrace. “Why are you crying? I was so worried. Where were you? You locked me in the room. Please stop crying.”
Amruta remains silent, thinking, I don’t have the strength to tell him the truth. Instead, she says, “Kavita didn’t do this.”Virat frowns. “Yeah, she was home. She let me out of the room. Then who did?”
Before Amruta can answer, Virat’s phone rings. Dildar, panicked, shouts, “Babita was hit by a truck! She had an accident! Please come to the hospital!”Virat’s phone slips from his hands. In shock, he barely hears Amruta as she gently asks, “Are you okay?”Virat whispers, “Mom…”Amruta grips his arm. “We have to go, Virat.”
Scene 3
At the hospital, Virat rushes in, panicked. Kavita asks, “Where were you?”Ignoring her, he asks, “Where’s Mom? How is she?” Dildar embraces him, sobbing. “Mom’s a fighter. She will be okay,” Virat assures, though fear grips him.Amruta offers, “Harsh works here—I can ask him about her condition.”
Nimrit snaps, “We don’t need your help! Mom has suffered enough because of you. Get out!”Virat remains hopeful. “Mom will be fine. She’s strong,” he reassures, hugging Nimrit. Meanwhile, Shekhar pulls Amruta aside. Amruta wonders, How did this accident even happen?Harsh updates her, “The doctors aren’t saying much. I’ll let you know when I learn more.”
Amruta confides in Bhavani, “I couldn’t tell Virat. I couldn’t put him through more pain.” Ishika overhears and grows suspicious. Bhavani urges, “Let’s go home.”Amruta refuses. “Virat isn’t okay. I can’t leave him.”Virat walks out, distressed. “I don’t understand… Mom never leaves home without telling anyone. Why did she go out alone, without a driver? Something isn’t right.”
Amruta tries to calm him. “Sir, please focus on her recovery. We’ll talk later.”Virat, struggling to hold back tears, prays, “I hope Mom gets better.” Holding Amruta’s hand, he pleads, “Please don’t leave me.”Amruta nods. “I’m staying.”Suddenly, Babita’s condition worsens. Doctors rush in as her heartbeat drops. Virat, watching helplessly, cries out, “No! This can’t happen!”
Desperate, he begs, “Mom, I’ll do whatever you ask. Just don’t leave me!”Babita’s heartbeat stabilizes. Virat sighs in relief and clings to Amruta. “I don’t know what I’d do without her.”Amruta soothes him, “Stay strong. She needs you.”Determined, Virat vows, “Whoever did this will pay.”Amruta, recalling everything, stays silent.
