Saras and Kumud update Monday 10 February 2025

Saras and Kumud: The episode begins with Kumud stopping Pramad from slapping her. Pramad glares at her and taunts that she is acting bold because of his parents. He warns her that he will create problems for her at her family’s house the next day. Kumud becomes anxious as Pramad laughs menacingly.

Scene shifts to Badimaa:

Badimaa discusses Pramad’s visit with Vidyachatur and the family. She expresses concern as they do not know his true nature. Vidyachatur reassures her, saying he trusts Budhidhan. However, Yash’s mother reminds them of the past and how they hurriedly decided Kumud’s fate. Badimaa admits her worry for Kumud, saying if there is any truth to what they have heard about Pramad, Kumud will not return to him.

Meanwhile, Kumud warns Pramad that if her family discovers the truth, they will not let her go back with him. She questions what his father would do if she refuses to return. Pramad walks away. Yash’s mother argues that if they keep Kumud, they must also keep Kusum and Kumari. Badimaa firmly states that she will do anything for Kumud and will not let her sacrifice her life.

The next morning:

Kumud welcomes Budhidhan and his wife as they arrive. Murakh Das brings sweets. Budhidhan inquires about Pramad’s whereabouts, and Kumud assures him that he will arrive soon. Just then, Saras enters, saying he visited the temple and brought prasad for everyone, including Kumud. When Pramad arrives, he refuses to accept prasad from Saras.

Budhidhan reminds Pramad about the patphere ritual and scolds him for arriving late. Pramad argues, accusing his father of favoring Saras over him. Budhidhan warns him not to create trouble and says that if Kumud complains, he will have to answer for his actions. Pramad reluctantly agrees to leave with Kumud. Saras watches as they depart, while Budhidhan worries about what might happen at Kumud’s home.

Scene shifts to Badimaa’s house:

The family eagerly awaits Kumud and Pramad’s arrival. Pramad’s mother calls to inform them that the couple has left and should arrive soon. Meanwhile, a mishap occurs when Kalika and Murakh Das collide, breaking a glass, which makes Pramad’s mother uneasy. Saras picks up the phone, and Badimaa is surprised to hear his voice but does not recognize it immediately.

When Kumud and Pramad finally arrive, they receive a warm welcome. Guniyal performs the tilak and aarti. Pramad, however, refuses to touch the elders’ feet, and Kumud covers for him with an excuse. Kusum and Kumari attempt to talk to Pramad, but his behavior unsettles Kumud. He sarcastically tells them they can keep Kumud if they want.

Budhidhan and Vidyachatur discuss Naveenchandra over the phone. Saras and Alak are shocked to hear the name.

Later:

Kusum tries to engage Pramad in conversation. He playfully tells her that she can keep Kumud if she wishes. Chandrika jokes with him, making everyone laugh. Kumud then asks for Badimaa, who arrives and playfully pulls Pramad’s ear as part of a ritual. Pramad controls his anger and pretends to be amused. Badimaa questions why he brought Kumud so late. Pramad jokes that he asked Kumud to come earlier, but she did not listen, suggesting Badimaa should pull her ear too. Vidyachatur invites Pramad to sit and chat. The family teases Kumud, making Guniyal and Badimaa happy to see her smiling.

Later, Chandrika compliments Kumud’s attire and asks if Pramad chose the saree. Kumud smiles and confirms. Pramad looks on, his expression unreadable.

Scene shifts to Budhidhan’s house:

Saras and Alak are in the office when Alak finds a poem written by Kumud. Saras recognizes it and explains that she had recited it to Sid while he overheard and saw her writing it. Alak questions why it was among his papers. Saras suspects it was mistakenly taken along. Alak expresses her concerns about Pramad’s behavior, worrying that he might create a scene at Kumud’s home. Saras argues that their priority should be Kumud’s well-being, not the family’s reputation. Alak admits she had warned their father against Pramad’s marriage, but Budhidhan did not listen.

Budhidhan arrives and, upon reading the poem, becomes pensive.

Scene shifts to Kumud and Badimaa:

Kumud approaches Badimaa, who stops her, making her take small steps toward her. The family watches as they engage in their usual playful gestures. Vidyachatur silently worries about the rumors surrounding Pramad. Badimaa asks Kumud if she was unhappy, and Kumud hesitates before smiling. This makes Badimaa suspicious, sensing that Kumud is hiding something. She urges her to tell the truth.

Meanwhile, at Kumud’s house:

Pramad grows bored with Kusum and Kumari’s conversations and begins craving alcohol. When Vidyachatur notices this, he suggests Pramad explore the village with him, but Pramad declines, saying he will bring cold drinks instead.

Scene shifts to Budhidhan:

Budhidhan confesses his worries about Kumud to Saras. He regrets marrying Pramad to her, hoping she could change him, but things have not improved. He is concerned about Pramad’s behavior at Kumud’s home and wants to take action.

Meanwhile, in the village:

Pramad searches for alcohol and encounters a local named Umesh, who warns him not to cause trouble. Pramad arrogantly introduces himself as Budhidhan’s son. Umesh, recognizing him as Kumud’s husband, apologizes and offers to help him find liquor. Pramad follows him.

Back at Budhidhan’s house:

Budhidhan calls Vidyachatur to check on Kumud and Pramad. He then tells Saras that he is sending someone for their safety and asks if the person can stay at their house. When Vidyachatur agrees, Budhidhan reveals that he is sending Saras. Both Saras and Alak are shocked. Saras worries about the consequences, but Budhidhan insists, saying a father is pleading for his son. Saras, moved by his request, holds his hands.
