Kumud acknowledges how much her mother-in-law values the fast and decides to keep it. Budhidhan offers to explain this to her. Meanwhile, Kusum apologizes to Kumud for causing trouble and urges her not to cry. Kumud exchanges glances with Saras, who reassures her and silently vows to deal with Kalika for insulting Kumud. He warns Kalika that her time in the house is limited.

Budhidhan discusses business ideas with Saras and appreciates his insights, suggesting he speak with Alak. Meanwhile, Murakh Das welcomes Chandrika and Kumari. As they pass Saras, they do not notice him. Kusum and Kumud see Saras and feel tense, but Saras quietly leaves. Kumud, overjoyed, embraces them and inquires about their well-being. Chandrika asks about Pramad, and Kumud replies that he is out on some work. She warmly welcomes them as Chandrika presents Teej clothes and jewelry. Pramad’s mother meets them, and Chandrika mentions bringing gifts. Budhidhan acknowledges their first visit to the house, and Kumari greets him. Kumud expresses her happiness at their arrival.

Kalika observes the scene with a smile as Kumud engages in conversation. Kusum watches closely. Pramad’s mother excuses herself, citing ill health, and Budhidhan attributes it to fasting before escorting her to rest. Kalika mocks her, questioning whether the daughter-in-law of Budhidhan’s house should be seen in such a place. Kumud, undeterred, insists she will bring Pramad back regardless of where he is.

Inside, Pramad is gambling and drinking with other men. He is startled to see Kumud and demands to know why she is there. She tells him that his mother is worried and urges him to return. He dismisses her, telling her to leave. Kumud refuses, stating that she promised his mother she would bring him home. Frustrated, Pramad orders her to leave, but she threatens to call the police. Kalika, overhearing this, watches with interest. Pramad scoffs at her threat, but Kumud makes the call, ensuring the men hear her conversation. The gamblers panic and flee. Pramad angrily snatches Kumud’s phone and disconnects the call. As he exits, he sees Kalika, who feigns innocence and claims she was merely following his mother’s instructions. Pramad seethes with anger as Kalika subtly provokes him.

Pramad reluctantly gets into the car, and they head home. Meanwhile, Kusum informs Saras that Kumud went to retrieve Pramad, leaving Saras worried about her safety. When Pramad finally returns, Kumud breaks her fast by drinking water. Kusum offers her food, but she declines. Saras, deeply moved, drinks from the same glass as Kumud. Murakh Das offers him food, but Saras postpones eating. Kusum quietly observes.

Later, in her room, Kumud is shocked when Pramad suddenly appears. He presents her with bangles, claiming they are a gift, but they are too small. Forcing them onto her wrists, he deliberately hurts her, asserting his dominance. Kumud pleads with him to stop, but he smirks at her pain.

As Pramad persists, Kumud escapes his grasp and runs. He insists she wear the bangles, claiming he bought them with love. Saras notices Kumud’s distress and injured hands. She tries to hide her pain, but he deduces that Pramad is responsible. Saras resolves to confront Pramad, but Kumud stops him. He tenderly offers her water and urges her not to cry. She drinks and calms down. Concerned, he asks if she has eaten, and she assures him she has. She then requests him to leave and restart his life. However, Saras refuses, stating that her happiness is his priority. He proposes a deal: if he removes Kalika from their lives and helps Pramad change, he will leave. Otherwise, Kumud must return to her parents’ home. She insists he leave, but he remains firm, promising to stay until she finds happiness again.

The next morning, Kumud performs the puja, reflecting on Saras’s words and Pramad’s treatment. She silently prays for strength. She offers aarti to Pramad’s mother, who notices her injured hand. Kumud explains that she got hurt while wearing bangles. Pramad’s mother surprisingly sympathizes, acknowledging Kumud’s efforts. However, she questions why Kumud cannot care for Pramad as Kalika does, suggesting that Kumud was brought into the household to reform him.

Kumud, determined, declares that she will indeed change him. Meanwhile, Kalika smirks, informing Kumud that Naveen (Saras) is not home. Kumud instructs her to prepare breakfast. Kalika arrogantly claims she has done enough for Kumud. Later, Kumud approaches Pramad with lemon water. He mocks her, questioning how she knows about its benefits and sarcastically implying she learned it from Saraswatichandra. Kumud calmly replies that she read about it online. She reminds him that his parents see her as his teacher rather than his wife. Pramad laughs, questioning whether teachers get punished too, alluding to her injured hand.

Feigning concern, he offers to apply balm but pretends not to find it. Instead, he suggests using alcohol, mockingly claiming it relieves pain. Kumud refuses, reminding him to join the family for breakfast. Before leaving, she asserts her ability to care for herself and others. Kalika, believing she is irreplaceable in Pramad’s life, dismisses Kumud’s influence. However, Kumud counters that excessive sweetness must be removed, implying Kalika’s days in the house are numbered.

Murakh Das informs Kumud that Naveen will return at night. Kalika grows suspicious of his absence. Kumud, meanwhile, subtly suggests that Murakh Das consider Kalika’s marriage. He agrees, much to Kalika’s shock. Kumud assures him she will handle the arrangements. Kalika is flustered, while Pramad looks equally disturbed.

Later, Kumud teases Kalika, questioning why she is blushing. Kalika sarcastically remarks that if her father cannot find her a match, Kumud certainly will. Kumud reminds her that Pramad’s proposal had once come for her, suggesting fate takes unexpected turns. Pramad scolds Kumud for meddling, but she insists Kalika is family. When asked about her ideal groom, Kalika cunningly states that she will marry whomever Kumud chooses, subtly hinting at her interest in Pramad. Kumud confidently declares she will find a match soon.

At that moment, the doorbell rings. Kumud opens the door and is stunned to see her family—Guniyal, Badimaa, and Vidyachatur—standing there. Vidyachatur asks if she is doing well. Kumud is visibly tense, while Kalika smirks. Kumud warmly welcomes them, and Kusum joins in. Kalika, watching from the sidelines, wonders who the real guest in the house is and for how long.

Kumud, surprised by their unannounced visit, inquires if all is well. Vidyachatur explains that they came to meet her and Kusum. Pramad’s parents greet them. Pramad’s mother remarks that had they informed earlier, they would have arranged a proper welcome. Badimaa counters that they had called ahead, and a girl had answered, inviting them to visit that day. Kumud instantly suspects Kalika.
