Anupama update Sunday 23 February 2025
Anupama: The episode begins with Anupama asking Anuj about Barkha and Ankush. Anuj tells her he is going to confront them to get some answers. Anupama stops him, applying kajal behind his ear, adjusting his collar and sleeve. Anuj expresses his gratitude for her words and for everything she’s done for him, saying that he wants to be the man he once was. He reminisces about the time when Aadhya and Anupama were no longer in his life.
He had everything, but without them, he felt incomplete. Now that they’re back, he wants to give them all the happiness in the world, which is why he intends to go to the office.
Anupama acknowledges Aadhya as her responsibility too and wants to do everything for her. Anuj reminds her that Asha Bhavan is also his responsibility, and he’s going to the office to find out what has been happening in his absence. He promises to return with answers. Before he leaves, Anupama wishes him good luck and gives him a magnet. He thanks her, knowing she won’t say it, but he’s certain she’ll be waiting for him at home. He kisses his fingers and touches her shoulder before leaving. Anupama feels a wave of shyness.
Dolly drops Meenu off at college and heads back to her car, but Sagar approaches Meenu, calling her name. Dolly returns and confronts Sagar, accusing him of trapping Meenu. Meenu defends him, saying it’s not shameful to be an auto driver, and that Sagar is studying law. Dolly, however, continues to insult him and belittles his ambitions. Anupama intervenes, asking Dolly why she’s speaking this way to Sagar. Dolly accuses Anupama of taking revenge on her and trying to ruin her daughter’s life. Meenu tells Dolly to drop her off at the classroom.
Sagar swears on Anupama that there’s nothing going on between him and Meenu. Anupama reassures him that she’ll bring his tiffin later. Sagar regrets lying but resolves to talk to Bala.
At the office, Anuj arrives, and the employees greet him warmly. They express their happiness at his return and share the news that after his departure, Ankush and Barkha have mismanaged the company, causing a significant downfall. The employees tell Anuj that they were led to believe he was back in the U.S., and they stuck around only out of loyalty to him. Anuj promises to fix the situation and asks if they are still with him. The employees affirm their support, though one new employee questions his identity. The employees express that due to Barkha and Ankush’s actions, they’ve lost many clients, and the company is on the verge of closure.
Meanwhile, Sagar, feeling guilty about lying to Anupama, seeks advice from Bala. He fears that Anupama is suspicious, but she continues to trust him. He and Bala try to put on a brave face when Anupama arrives, seemingly unaware of their exchange.
Back at the office, Anuj enters his cabin and is confronted by the nameplate bearing Ankush’s name. He receives a call from Anupama, who tells him to remain composed. Anuj shares his pain, explaining how Ankush betrayed him during his most vulnerable time, even after Anuj helped him through tough moments. He’s particularly hurt by Ankush’s lies regarding Aadhya, as he’s been misled about his daughter’s well-being. Anupama advises him that if the betrayal was just about business, it could be forgiven, but family is a different matter entirely.
Anuj agrees and resolves to confront Ankush and Barkha for answers about Aadhya.
Elsewhere, Toshu speaks with a doctor over the phone, explaining his symptoms. Kinjal, noticing his unwell state, offers him a homemade remedy. She teases him, commenting on how he thought he could dominate the house, only to be outsmarted by Vanraj’s “tigress” sister. Toshu growls to himself, determined to handle the situation.
Ankush, speaking to Barkha, expresses his frustration with being trapped in this situation, especially when Anupama might come looking for him. Barkha tries to calm him down, assuring him there’s nothing to fear. However, when Anuj enters the office, Ankush is visibly shocked. Anuj confronts him, asking if he’s happy to see him back. Ankush hugs him, pretending to be glad, but the tension is palpable.
