Saras and Kumud: The episode begins with Kumud urging Budhidhan to return Pramad’s money and assets. Budhidhan considers Saras’s advice. Saras suggests they wait a little longer to see if Pramad truly changes. Budhidhan agrees, but Kumud insists that trust must come first, urging Budhidhan to take the initial step by returning Pramad’s assets. Pramad overhears this conversation from outside the door.

The next morning, Pramad tells Kumud that he came to the room to get his clothes since she wasn’t there. He admits that Naveen was right—she should keep the money. Apologizing for the previous night, he confesses that he got drunk again but is trying to quit and just needs time. He then asks Kumud for ₹10,000, assuring her it’s not for alcohol but for something important. Without hesitation, Kumud signs the cheque, telling him it’s his money and he doesn’t need to justify its use. Pramad thanks her—not just for the money, but for her trust.

Meanwhile, Budhidhan is discussing a highly sought-after piece of land. Pramad enters, offering to contribute to the discussion. Saras encourages him to speak. As Kumud steps away to take a call, Kusum and Kumari chat with her over a conference call, reminiscing about their time together. Sensing something is wrong at home, Kumud questions Kumari, who hesitantly admits that there are worries at home but quickly ends the call when Danny arrives. Kumud, suspecting trouble, reflects on Saras’s words and draws a smiley on her hand, just as Saras once did, reassuring herself that everything will be fine.

Pramad’s Conflict:

Pramad, lost in thought, mimics Budhidhan’s words mockingly, feeling insulted by his father. Kalika approaches him, flirting and reminding him that she acted for his benefit, not out of theft. She warns him that soon, he will have to beg Kumud for money, and she might not be as generous. Pramad grows frustrated when Kalika suggests that Saraswatichandra still holds a place in Kumud’s heart, as she never performed his last rites. This plants a new idea in Pramad’s mind.

At home, Pramad’s mother informs him that the house will be empty for a while, leaving Kumud alone. Seeing the signed cheque, he recalls Kalika’s words. When Kumud enters, he bluntly asks if she still loves Saraswatichandra, leaving her stunned.

Meanwhile, Saras receives an email from Danny about Vidyachatur’s financial struggles. Realizing Kumud never mentioned it, he decides to speak with her. Back at the house, Kumud tells Pramad that Saraswatichandra was her past, while he is her present. However, Pramad insists that Saras’s presence still lingers between them. He suggests they perform Saraswatichandra’s last rites to symbolically move on. Both Kumud and Saras are shocked at this idea. Despite Kumud’s reluctance, Saras insists, giving her his oath, forcing her to comply.

During the ritual, Kumud is overcome with emotion, remembering how she once performed it in anger. Saras watches as she painfully follows the pandit’s instructions. Kusum, witnessing this, is horrified, but Saras stops her from intervening. As the ceremony concludes, Kumud stares at Saras in tears before collapsing. Pramad rushes to her, lifting her in his arms while Saras, visibly distressed, refrains from stepping in. Kusum later confronts Saras, questioning why he allowed this to happen. Saras, watching the fire from the ritual, reflects on his past mistakes and laments that perhaps this is his punishment for leaving Kumud.

Saras and Kumud’s Crossroads:

Saras receives a call from Badimaa, who inquires about Danny and the money transfer. She asks if the funds came from his father, but Saras clarifies they are his own. He insists that he only wishes to help as a son. Badimaa, though still upset with him, acknowledges his gesture.

Meanwhile, Budhidhan unknowingly praises Pramad for a good suggestion that was actually Saras’s. Pramad, confused by the unexpected appreciation, begins to feel a shift in his circumstances. His parents bless him, making him question the reality of his actions.

Kumud later speaks to Saras, assuring him that they are helpless but must trust fate. Saras sarcastically asks if she is thanking Naveen or Saraswatichandra since she just performed his last rites. Just then, Pramad arrives, admitting that he met Kalika and realized she will never change. He regrets forcing Kumud into the ritual and admits he does not deserve her as a husband. Saras, however, wonders why Kalika met Pramad and what her real intentions were.

At Vidyachatur’s house, Danny, sleeping in the hall, wakes up to find Vidyachatur staring at him. In a lighter moment, Danny’s towel falls, embarrassing him while the women of the house laugh. Badimaa, though amused, warns that their pain is still fresh, and trust must be earned.

Pramad’s Attempt at Redemption:

Later, Pramad tells Kumud that he knows his change seems sudden, but he genuinely wants to rectify his mistakes. He gifts her a bangle, reminding her of a painful memory when he once forcefully put it on her. This time, he assures her he wants to make amends, not repeat past mistakes. He also mentions buying something for her with the ₹10,000 she gave him. Kumud, touched but wary, smiles.

Meanwhile, Budhidhan shares Pramad’s latest decision with Vidyachatur—that he and Kumud wish to celebrate Navratri at their house. Vidyachatur is left shocked, while Pramad looks at Kumud with a smile.
