Saras and Kumud update Saturday 8 March 2025
Saras and Kumud: The episode begins with Pramad revealing to Danny that Ghuman was once a dancer in Ratnagiri. Everyone is shocked. Danny, furious, is about to react, but Saras stops him.
Pramad taunts Danny further, saying he had considered making Ghuman dance in front of everyone but refrained since she is now Danny’s mother. Kumud steps in and tells Pramad to leave. Smirking, Pramad says his work is done and leaves after greeting everyone with a mocking “Narayan Narayan.”
Danny turns to Saras and demands to know if what Pramad said is true. Saras remains silent, which confirms Danny’s worst fears. Overcome with emotion, Danny breaks down and runs away. Saras follows him inside the house and tries to explain, but Danny feels betrayed. He accuses Saras of hiding the truth from him. Saras explains that he wanted to protect Danny’s love for their mother, insisting that a mother’s love remains unchanged despite her past. Danny, however, is deeply hurt and walks away, leaving Saras troubled.
Kumud finds Saras lost in thought and asks where Danny is. Saras replies that Danny needs some time alone to process everything. Kumud reassures Saras, saying that trust isn’t about revealing everything but sometimes about protecting someone from pain. She tells Saras that Danny will understand in time. Saras, still upset, says that his brother is distancing himself, while Kumud seems focused on the ongoing drama. She insists they must face the situation together. Kumud vows to be Saras’s strength, not allowing Pramad to succeed in his attempt to break him.
Meanwhile, Danny is tormented by Pramad’s words about Ghuman. Kusum and Kumari try to comfort him, but he refuses to talk. Danny says that unlike him, Kumari learned the truth from her mother, while he had to hear it from an enemy. Kusum defends Saras, explaining that he only kept the truth to protect Danny from unnecessary pain. If Pramad hadn’t revealed it, Saras would have continued shielding him. Despite their efforts, Danny remains inconsolable.
At the Bhoomi Pujan, Kumud and Badimaa are shocked to see the villagers attending a drama instead. Kalika mocks Kumud, declaring that no one will come for her event. Saras steps in, proclaiming his support for Kumud, and assures that the Vyas family stands with the Desai family. Kalika is taken aback. Saras decides to play Lord Krishna in a reenactment of Meera’s Katha, playing the flute to attract an audience. Initially, only a few women show interest, but they are tempted away by the drama’s loud announcements. Kumud grows anxious, but Danny and Kumari come up with a plan. They bring children who persuade their parents and other villagers to attend the Bhoomi Pujan. The children also cut the drama’s mic connection, forcing people to leave and watch the Meera’s Katha instead.
As Kusum delivers a mesmerizing performance as Meera, the audience is captivated. Even Badimaa is moved, noting that Kusum has embodied the role so deeply it feels real. Eventually, the Bhoomi Pujan is completed successfully, and Kumud smiles in triumph. Kalika, displeased, hands Kumud divorce papers from Pramad, warning her not to think she has won. Kumud, unfazed, takes the papers and says that since Pramad didn’t come himself, it means he has accepted his defeat.
The villagers then request Kumud to name the school. Seeking Badimaa’s permission, Kumud asks Saras to unveil the name. Saras is taken aback and emotional to see the school named after his mother. Overwhelmed, he lights the ceremonial diya, fulfilling a promise he made to his mother. He looks at Kumud with gratitude, realizing she made this possible.
Meanwhile, Pramad drives recklessly, seething over his loss. Kalika urges him to let things go, but he refuses. He calls some goons, plotting revenge against Kumud and her family. At the same time, Danny remains upset, but Saras approaches him. Danny admits that he reacted impulsively and apologizes. Saras reassures him that love is always greater than hatred. The brothers reconcile, embracing warmly. Kumud watches them and feels guilty, thinking their fight happened because of her. Kusum comforts her, saying that Danny needed to know the truth someday, and perhaps Saras now feels relieved.
Pramad devises a plan to attack Kumud’s dignity. He describes her appearance to the goons, particularly mentioning her kamarbandh. Coincidentally, Kumud gifts that very kamarbandh to Kusum as a reward for her performance. The goons, mistaking Kusum for Kumud, kidnap her. As she is taken away, Kusum discreetly drops pieces of her dupatta along the road. Saras, realizing something is wrong, follows the trail and finds Kusum’s earring, confirming he is on the right path.
At home, Kumud senses that something is off. Danny tries to reassure her, but she remains uneasy. Meanwhile, Saras arrives at the goons’ hideout, but they manage to hide Kusum before he can see her. He leaves the area, unaware that Kusum is just within reach.
