Anupama update Thursday 10 April 2025
Anupama: The episode begins with Baa anxiously remarking that evening is approaching and they still haven’t managed to arrange the required money. Toshu shares that he reached out to an old client for help, but was turned down. Baa, disheartened, says it seems like this Diwali will be filled with darkness. Dolly cynically blames their misfortunes on an “inauspicious girl” entering their home on Dussehra.
Just then, Anupama enters and confidently says that the money will be arranged. Baa questions how, while Dolly doubts the possibility, asking where such a large amount could come from. Anupama remains composed and simply assures them that it will come. Pakhi questions Anupama, suggesting she must have had money all along but didn’t tell anyone. Anupama responds calmly, reminding her that even Pakhi and Kinjal keep money secret, so they shouldn’t question her.
At that moment, Ansh, Mahi, and Pari arrive and offer their saved-up money to Anupama. Touched, she thanks them and tells them she will ask for their help only if needed in the future. Dolly criticizes Anupama for asking money from children. But Ansh stands up for her, telling Dolly not to insult Anupama when she hadn’t even taken the money. He adds that he doesn’t have the same patience Anupama shows.
Anupama, moved by the children’s values, says she’s proud of them. She tells them they possess qualities like honesty, kindness, and empathy—traits she couldn’t instill in her own children, but her grandchildren have embraced.
Toshu then asks for the money to give to Jigar Bhai. Anupama agrees to hand over the money, but with a condition—he must first apologize to Janki Behen and the other women he disrespected. She reminds him that while she tolerates his behavior, the others shouldn’t have to. Toshu arrogantly refuses, saying that as the “owner,” he has nothing to apologize for. Anupama firmly corrects him, saying the women are not servants—they are homemakers with dignity and self-respect. She warns that if treated poorly, they’ll simply find work elsewhere. Baa says she’ll speak to him.
Outside, Anupama takes out a locket containing Aadhya’s photo and prepares to remove Anuj’s photo as well. Just then, Aadhya accidentally bumps into her, causing the locket to fall. When Aadhya sees Anuj’s photo inside, she assumes Anupama never kept her picture and feels that her mother’s love is fake.
A jeweler arrives, and Anupama hands him the locket. In exchange, he gives her money, and she thanks him. Aadhya, hurt, questions how Anupama could sell something that belonged to her “pops”—the last thing he had left. Anupama, deeply pained, wonders why Aadhya can’t see her suffering.
Soon after, Prem arrives and returns Anupama’s house keys, which he found nearby. When she asks what he’s doing there, he explains he was taking photos of Kaveri and Gauri. He offers her some encouraging words. Meanwhile, Ansh watches Prem suspiciously, wondering why he’s always around. Anupama asks Prem to help count the money, which he does.
Anupama later meets Jigar and gives him the money. He mocks her and refuses to hand over the house keys until she pays six months’ rent in advance. Despite her pleading, he denies her request.
Distraught, Anupama reflects on her actions—how she sold Anuj’s last keepsake, only to gain nothing. Overwhelmed with guilt, she mourns the emotional distance between her and Choti, despite her physical presence. What she hoped would be a joyful Diwali now feels just as bleak as the previous ones.
Meanwhile, Prem and his friends are near a lantern shop and light it up. They admire the lights and take selfies. Anupama and Aadhya also pass by, watching the lanterns from a distance. Anupama silently walks away. In the background, Prem captures a selfie and notices Aadhya in it.
Elsewhere, Aadhya overhears a group of children being insulted by a woman for asking for food. The same woman tries to bargain aggressively with the shopkeeper, demanding two dozen diyas at the price of one. Aadhya confronts the woman, criticizing her for mocking the children while being unfair to the seller.
She then offers to buy food for the kids, telling the vendor she doesn’t have money but is willing to work. The vendor asks if she can clean the place. Aadhya agrees. Prem, watching from afar, offers her money, but she declines his help. The vendor agrees to feed the kids, and Aadhya immediately begins sweeping.
Impressed, Prem remarks how Aadhya always surprises him. As the kids finish eating, she tells them to throw their plates in the dustbin, teaching them responsibility. Prem applauds her kind gesture.
Just then, a postman arrives and asks for directions to Krishna Kunj. Prem points toward Anupama’s home. Aadhya insists it’s not her house, but the postman asks her to sign for the parcel. She doesn’t notice the sender’s name: Anuj Kapadia. Prem overhears the postman mentioning that the package had been misdirected to Asha Bhavan for years and only recently found the right address thanks to updated information.
Aadhya and Prem arrive home. Aadhya hands the parcel to Anupama and goes inside. Prem explains that he saw her in the market and decided to drop her home. He encourages Anupama to open the parcel, saying it might contain something precious.
Anupama opens it and is stunned to see the words “Anu Tumhara Anuj…” written inside. Overcome with emotion, she carefully places the contents back into the envelope. When Prem asks if she’s alright, she softly replies, “Anuj…” He suggests that if the parcel is truly special, she should open it somewhere quiet and private.
Anupama rushes out with the parcel and runs to the park. Collapsing onto the grass, she holds it close, kisses it, and lets her emotions pour out. Prem follows behind her, silently witnessing her moment of heartbreak and longing.
