Soulmate update Saturday 12 April 2025
Soulmate: The episode begins with Sachin in tears, clearly upset. Sayali approaches him and listens to his pain. She reassures him, saying, “I do care for you.” Then, she shifts the focus by asking for his help. “I need your assistance to make clay diyas for Diwali.” Sachin immediately offers to fetch them for her, but Sayali insists, “No, I want to make them myself, and I need your help.”
He agrees, and they begin making the diyas together. As they work, the song Bahara Bahara plays in the background, lightening the mood. Sayali does her best to cheer him up, and in a moment of gratitude, Sachin hugs her. He tells her, “I know you didn’t need the diyas, you’re doing this just to make me feel better.”
She smiles and reassures him, “No, I really do need them.” But Sachin, knowing her well, teases, “I know your game. These diyas will be dry in three days, and you’ll need them for the puja tonight, but you’re pretending you need them for Diwali.” Sayali laughs, “We can use them next Diwali,” and teases him right back, “You’re clever.”
Later, Tejas and Roshni, Akash and Riya, and Sachin and Sayali all get dressed and join the others. Renu gives them all a compliment, and Paresh asks Sayali what gift she brought. Renu insists that since Roshni is the eldest daughter-in-law, she should go first. Roshni proudly says, “I brought healthy sweets for everyone, and these scented oil candles for your better sleep.”
Renu is thrilled and asks Riya what she brought. Riya responds, “I thought it was Sayali’s turn, but I brought an automation kit.” Renu, a bit confused, asks what that is, and Riya explains, “It’s a cool gadget where everything happens automatically.”
Roshni adds a little about its benefits, and Paresh jokes, asking, “Can we upgrade our wives with it?” Renu is taken aback, and Sachin sarcastically says, “It’s too late for that,” and playfully taunts Akash and Riya to leave. Sayali tells Sachin to quiet down, and then he teases Paresh by saying, “Let’s see what Sayali got.” Sayali presents the diyas and a picture of Devi Annapurna.
Akash, puzzled, asks, “Why did you bring diyas?” Sayali explains, “I’ve written everyone’s names on them. They’ll light the diyas and make their names shine.” Sachin, impressed, says, “It’s a thoughtful gesture; I’ll light the diya.” Renu, however, scoffs, calling it “cheap” and questioning the gift.
Sayali stands her ground, explaining, “I made these diyas myself. Diwali is about joy, which comes from good thoughts and family. That’s what my parents taught me.” Paresh, moved by her words, agrees, “You’re right, I’m happy with this. We’ll use the diyas during Laxmi pujan.” Renu throws a subtle taunt at Sayali, but Roshni smiles approvingly.
Paresh, confused, asks, “What are you saying?” Sachin, frustrated, responds, “I’ve been listening to this nonsense for a long time.” An argument erupts between Sachin and Renu. Riya, noticing the tension, asks, “Do you all always fight like this? Akash told me it was fun living in a joint family, but this feels like war.”
Renu quickly shifts tactics, pretending to be sweet to Sachin, who, skeptical, says, “I don’t know when she changes.” Akash turns to Riya, asking her about the surprise. Paresh, tired of the conflict, tells Renu to stop insulting Sayali and asks everyone to sit down, ready for Riya’s surprise.
Riya steps forward with a bowl and says, “Here’s my surprise! We’re going to play a game. We’ll pick chits with names of songs, and you’ll have to act them out and guess the song and the film.” Sayali suggests, “Can we form couples’ teams?” Riya happily agrees, “Of course, great idea!”
Roshni, a bit suspicious, says, “But you might know the answers.” Riya reassures her, “Don’t worry, I don’t cheat.” Sachin immediately refuses to play, but Sayali, eager to join in, convinces him, saying, “You know so many songs, we could win. Plus, I want everyone to praise my husband in front of everyone. I want them to see how cool he is.” Sachin, finally agreeing, says, “Fine, I’ll play.”
Riya announces that the game is starting, and the first turn is for Renu. Sayali starts the timer, and Renu picks a chit. Upon reading it, she exclaims, “This is a tough one, I don’t know what to do!” Tejas encourages her, “Don’t worry, we’re all with you!” Renu attempts to act out the song, and everyone watches intently, trying to guess the song title.
