Anupama update Wednesday 16 April 2025

Baa tells Anupama that she had warned her that not all daughters are like Lakshmi and now her daughter has stolen money on Dhanteras. Mahi questions why Rahi would do something like this, to which Baa responds that it was for the Ashram, as they needed money. She accuses Rahi of coming to steal and calls her a street thief. Ansh asks Ishu why she didn’t stop Rahi or call anyone.
Pari accuses Ishu of making a video instead of stopping Rahi, but Ishu defends herself, explaining that if she had called everyone, Rahi would have denied it, and no one would have believed her. She says that she had proof, but Anu Maa refused to trust her. Pakhi adds that her mother would have scolded Ishu anyway.
Dolly points out that for Anupama, the truth is always a lie, while Kinjal argues that Anupama always believes her daughter’s lies as the truth. Toshu praises Ishu for capturing proof on video, which will be helpful if they need to report the theft. Kinjal suggests that it’s easier to let Rahi take the money since it’s their daughter’s money anyway. Baa repeats that her daughter is a thief.
Aadhya then enters and confesses that it was her who stole the money. Prem follows her inside. Baa accuses both of them of stealing, but Toshu remarks that it seems like they worked together. Pakhi asks Aadhya if both are involved in the theft, and Baa angrily snatches Aadhya’s bag, finding a knife inside.
Aadhya explains that the knife is fake, and she keeps it for safety. She admits to stealing the money after seeing Leela’s open locker, and says she took it because Pinto had fallen from the roof, and if anything happened to him, she wouldn’t have been able to bear it.
Pakhi mocks Aadhya, telling her to earn money if she wants to help, as they didn’t take responsibility for those “street children.” Rahi angrily retorts that they’re not street children.
Anupama asks where she went and why she didn’t ask her for the money. Aadhya explains that she tried asking Anupama, but when she didn’t get the help she needed, she saw the money in the open locker and took it. She says she was about to board a bus to Dwarka when Prem stopped her.
Flashback shows Prem stopping Aadhya as she tried to leave. He tells her that stealing is wrong, and she should not involve Anupama in this situation.
He made her realize her mistake, and she returns the stolen money to Baa, apologizing for her actions. Anupama tells Aadhya that stealing, whether it’s money from someone else or snatching someone’s possessions, is always wrong.
Pakhi complains that Aadhya and Baa have been treated the same, and Anupama responds that Pakhi always misunderstands her words. Anupama reminds everyone that money belongs to the person who earns it, and that she doesn’t scold anyone for earning money, but instead feels proud of it.
Pakhi criticizes Anupama for scolding her despite earning money herself. Ishu stands up for herself, saying she does all the hard work, while Pakhi only plays the role of her manager. Pakhi looks shocked, and Ishu warns her not to glare at her.
Kinjal tells Pakhi it’s karma, but Pakhi tells her not to interfere. Anupama tries to keep the peace, and Prem remarks that money often causes rifts in families, regardless of whether they are rich or poor. Ansh asks Prem if it happens in his family as well, but Prem reveals that he has no family.
Anupama, trying to move forward from the tension, says, “Happy Dhanteras!” She reminds everyone that the money isn’t hers—it’s from “Anu ki Rasoi,” and she’ll be using it to buy supplies. She instructs Toshu to call her when he receives the order money and not to give any of it to anyone else. She asks Baa to let her know if she needs money.
Baa complains that Anupama is showing off because she earns money, but Anupama responds that it’s not attitude, but pride. She encourages women to work, regardless of whether their husbands earn a lot, and praises Dolly for understanding this better than anyone. Aadhya apologizes for ruining their festival.
Prem says that despite everything, something good has happened on Dhanteras. Anupama takes the money from Baa and asks Aadhya to send it quickly. Aadhya agrees to send the money and thanks Prem for his help, telling him the kids loved the Diwali gifts he sent. Aadhya wonders who sent the money, and realizes it was Prem, as neither Ansh, Pari, nor Mahi had mentioned it.
Later, Ishani charges her phone but feels an electric spark as she switches it on. Aadhya enters and confronts her about not closing the open locker when she saw it. Aadhya warns Ishani that she’s messed with the wrong person and threatens her.
Dolly and Baa are upset that Anupama took the money, while Pakhi argues that if Ishu or Pari had done the theft, Mummy would have scolded them too. Toshu suspects Prem because he never mentioned his full name, and Dolly and Baa start to suspect him as well.
Prem enjoys sweets with Pari and Mahi, and Mahi starts daydreaming about him teaching her how to make sweets. He talks about his love for singing and dancing. Meanwhile, Aadhya calls Prem and thanks him for the gifts. She asks why he did it, and he explains that every child deserves a joyful childhood, filled with celebrations and gifts. He says it made him happy to help the kids. Aadhya offers to return the money, but Prem tells her to return it when she can.
Anupama, trying to lift the mood at home, decides to go to a local Diwali celebration with the neighbors. Jhunki and other workers from Anu ki Rasoi encourage everyone to join the festivities. Anupama insists they go, despite the crowd, thinking it will lift everyone’s spirits. Kinjal and Ansh also agree, though Pakhi and Ishani remain reluctant. Anupama is determined to bring joy back to the family and hopes Rahi might feel better.
As they prepare for the event, Anupama tells Mahi to pick out a dress for Aadhya. Aadhya refuses, saying she wants to forget everything, but Anupama insists that she should get ready for the festival. She reminds Aadhya of the times when her father used to bring clothes for her, and how she would wear them happily. Anupama urges her to dress up for the festival, just as she has done for her husband. Aadhya is still hesitant, but Anupama remains hopeful.
