Anupama update Monday 21 April 2025
The episode begins with Anupama stepping out of the house, performing a Suryanamaskar. She reflects on the new year, with the sun rising in the background, and expresses her wish to make this year happy for herself and others.
She mentions that although Diwali is over, she hopes for happiness, asking for “Vitamin H” to fill her and everyone else’s life. She sends out a message wishing everyone a Happy New Year, asking them to be ready at 8 am. Ansh, Ishani, Mahi, and Pari feel stressed as they think about the things they’ve said.
Anupama chats with Kaveri and Gauri, commenting on how people have used fewer crackers this time, before wishing them a Happy New Year. She notices Prem sleeping in the jeep and wakes him up. Prem greets her with a Happy New Year and says he would leave, but not until she forgives him.
He admits that she can have him beaten up by Ansh, Toshu, or kicked by Kaveri, but he won’t leave until she forgives him. He then casually starts brushing his teeth.
Everyone gathers in the hall, where they see the house beautifully decorated. Anupama greets them all with a Happy New Year, explaining that although their mindsets are different and some gaps can’t be filled, they should both try to take two steps forward and build a bridge.
Pakhi says this will continue for their whole lives, to which Anupama agrees, but assures they will do something special and enjoy the New Year. Ansh, Pari, Mahi, and Ishani ask if Anupama won’t scold them. Anupama replies that she won’t, but Toshu and Kinjal suggest they might. The kids admit they spoke in anger but tell Pakhi that she blamed Aadhya for provoking them.
Aadhya defends herself, saying Pakhi is the one who sowed the thorns, while Pakhi retorts, calling her an “imported thorn.” Baa mocks Aadhya, but Anupama intervenes, saying she has something to end their quarrels. She brings out a tape and says they will celebrate the New Year together. The family shakes hands and agrees.
Anupama and the family then proceed to perform the puja. Anupama explains the significance of the Shank and prays to Krishna Kanhaiyya to bring light into their lives.
Anupama and Toshu sing a bhajan, and Prem, who was about to enter, recalls Anupama’s words and decides against it, instead singing a bhajan at the local temple. Mahi and Aadhya join in as well, adding to the harmony. The family listens as the bhajan continues.
Anupama finishes the aarti and bhajan, after which Ansh and Mahi apologize to everyone. Ishani and Pari also apologize to Anupama. Mahi explains that Rahi didn’t know the drink was spiked, or she would’ve stopped them from drinking.
Anupama advises everyone not to repeat their mistakes and gives them paper crowns, though Aadhya hesitates to wear hers. Anupama asks them to put away their phones, which they do.
As Anupama fills balloons with air, Dolly asks Toshu why Anupama is so cheerful. Toshu speculates that she wants to get closer to the kids. Anupama announces that they’ll split into two teams for a game and selects her daughters for one team.
Aadhya opts for the other team. The game they play is one they previously enjoyed at Toshu’s third birthday, where they dance and have fun to the song “Prabhu Ka Naam.”
Both teams win, and it’s time for the next round. Prem arrives, holding a “Sorry” placard and wearing a T-shirt that reads “Sorry.” Baa jokingly asks why he’s dressed as a “sorry card.” Prem apologizes to Anupama and moves toward the house, but Toshu tells him to leave.
Anupama stops Prem and tells everyone that the mistakes weren’t just his, and they should remember that forgiveness won’t come easily again. She urges them to smile and stay united, and she thinks this will bring the family closer.
Anupama announces the game will continue, and Prem will join the “Oye Oye” game. They play a ring game, dancing to the song “Tu Choti Choti.” Aadhya and Prem play together, while everyone else joins in as well. Anupama asks if they had fun, and they all agree, saying they’re tired but happy.
Prem offers to bring everyone sherbet, and Anupama reflects that no one lost in these games; they all won because they worked together as a team, helping each other. She reminds them that they played as “hum” and not “main.”
