The episode begins with Renu requesting Mamta to give anything she wishes to Riya. Mamta then offers shagun to both Riya and Akash. Renu accepts it on their behalf and urges them to take Mamta’s blessings, which she gives.

Paresh comments that it feels more like dowry than a gesture of love. Mamta counters, saying every parent prepares jewellery for their daughters, adding that Paresh’s eldest daughter-in-law, Roshni, likely received much more since she’s from Dubai.

Renu jumps in, explaining that Roshni and Tejas had a modest wedding because Roshni’s wealthy father couldn’t travel from Dubai, but promised to give them 250 tolas of gold soon. Roshni grows nervous. Mamta then inquires about Sayali.

Renu speaks dismissively, saying that Sayali came with nothing, and they had to buy her wedding jewellery. She goes further, blaming Paresh’s retirement day for Sayali entering their lives—because Sayali’s father died that same day in a train accident.

Paresh is shocked and rebukes Renu. However, Renu continues, mocking Sayali’s family background, saying they only deal in flowers and rotten fruits. Sayali becomes tearful. Paresh tries to stop Renu, but she cruelly insists that Sayali is in the house only because of his guilt.

Heartbroken, Sayali goes to her room and locks herself in, crying silently. Later, when she’s seen at the temple, Renu questions her presence and scolds her for not helping with chores. Sayali, frustrated, finally confronts Renu, asking why she is always treated unfairly.

She questions her role in the house and says she’s had enough. Renu is taken aback by her defiance. Riya, overhearing the argument, asks what’s happening, but Renu brushes it off and tells Sayali to get back to work.

Sayali sarcastically agrees, saying it’s expected of her to do all the work and take constant insults. The argument escalates. Roshni and Tejas enter, and Roshni criticizes Sayali for speaking back to Renu.

Sayali tells her to stay out of it. Paresh arrives and asks what’s going on. Sayali explains she can no longer tolerate the insults, especially about her late father. She says her only fault is coming from a poor family.

Renu accuses her of being ungrateful and acting superior. She tries to justify her earlier remarks by saying she merely told Mamta the truth about Sayali bringing nothing from her home. Paresh says her words were inappropriate. Even Akash and Riya defend Sayali, agreeing she was wrongly insulted.

Sayali, deeply hurt, challenges Renu to share the real reason she’s so bitter. She brings up her own broken engagement and says if anyone lies about her father again, she will speak up.

Renu and Sayali clash further, with Paresh and the others siding with Sayali. Renu complains that Sayali is jealous of the affection she shows toward Riya and Roshni. Paresh reminds Renu that he asked her to treat all three daughters-in-law equally.

Sayali returns and hands over her jewellery, saying she doesn’t want anything if it comes at the cost of humiliation. Sachin walks in and notices the tension. He asks what’s going on.

Paresh urges Sayali to keep the jewellery, but she refuses, revealing what Renu said in front of Mamta. Sachin questions why Renu scolded Sayali pointing out that Sayali didn’t even use Renu’s money, as the jewellery was gifted by Paresh and Aaji.

He encourages Sayali not to let Renu’s words hurt her, but she still refuses to take anything. Renu then asks about the mangalsutra. Sayali, anticipating the taunt, says she doesn’t even want the mangalsutra anymore. She removes it and returns it as well. Sachin is left stunned.
