Jhanak update Wednesday 30 April 2025
The episode begins with Anirudh, his family members, and the police visiting the ashram to inquire about Jhanak’s whereabouts. Pandit Ji claims that it’s impossible for anyone to survive, stating that he saw the girl but couldn’t save her she was dead.
Anirudh asks if he’s certain, and Pandit Ji responds affirmatively, saying he believes so. Choton asks where the body went, and Pandit Ji suggests that due to the high water levels, the car might have been swept back into the river. He expresses regret, mentioning that Jhanak was innocent.
The Inspector raises the point that they had information that the girl was brought to the ashram to recover. Pandit Ji denies it, claiming that no one can bring the dead back to life. The Commissioner suggests that Jhanak might have been unconscious, not dead, and Pandit Ji lies, denying it.
Pandit Ji then hints that it could have been a murder, and the Inspector mentions that the car is missing. Pandit Ji speculates that poor people may have taken and sold the car, but insists that he didn’t perform the last rites because he knew the police would take care of it.
He asserts that it’s not his duty to inform the authorities. Choton maintains that they never saw the body and feels Jhanak is still alive. Pandit Ji retorts that if she were alive, she would have contacted them. Anirudh clarifies that she is part of their family, and they don’t know what happened to her. Pandit Ji says he can’t be of any help.
Meenakshi, pressing further, asks if they can meet the girl who arrived at the ashram that day. Pandit Ji responds by mentioning the ashram and its residents.
The Inspector insists on receiving the names and details of everyone staying there, to which the Commissioner reminds them that this is routine for a serious investigation. Bablu tries to calm the situation, assuring that they only want to find out what happened.
Pandit Ji directs the authorities to speak with Guru Ji, his friend who helped establish the ashram. When asked about his past, Pandit Ji declines to discuss it, claiming it’s irrelevant to the case.
Meenakshi insists on meeting the people living there, and Gita, who’s aware of the situation, instructs Jhanak to stay hidden behind her ghunghat and not answer any questions. Jhanak silently complies, and as she peers through the veil, she notices Anirudh.
Anirudh asks about her name, but Pandit Ji refuses to let her reveal it, explaining that she recently got married. Jhanak’s new husband is introduced, and Anirudh is left puzzled, torn between a strong suspicion that it’s Jhanak and the reality of her supposed marriage. Jhanak silently ponders over her situation, feeling a sense of loss and a desire to uncover the truth about her life.
As the group prepares to leave, Anirudh, still unable to confirm her identity, reflects on his past interactions with Guru Ji, whom he recognizes but can’t place. Jhanak, aware of his presence, finds solace in her thoughts, wondering why Anirudh is still looking for her.
Meanwhile, back at the Bose house, everyone is in mourning over Jhanak’s presumed death. Aditya is deeply saddened, and Dadi suggests performing rituals for Jhanak’s soul.
The conversation turns to the family’s grief, with Bablu expressing his difficulty in comforting Anjana and Appu. Appu mourns Jhanak’s loss, asking why she had to leave them, and Lalon tries to console her, urging her to eat to avoid falling ill.
The conversation shifts to the topic of Anirudh, with some family members believing he should return home, while others understand his emotional turmoil. Tensions rise when Arshi expresses her concern for Anirudh, and Tanuja advises her not to discuss it in front of Aditya.
Appu’s grief intensifies, and Choton expresses frustration, unable to force Anirudh to come home. Aditya finally approaches Anirudh, who is sitting alone, crying. He gently tells him that it’s time to perform the rituals for Jhanak, to which Anirudh responds that he feels he failed Jhanak when she was alive. Aditya asks him if he can ever forget her, to which Anirudh firmly replies, “Never.” Aditya, seeing his pain, urges him to come out, as it is important for closure and peace.
