Anupama update Thursday 8 May 2025
The episode opens with Anupama confronting Rahi, reminding her that she was given this opportunity despite her attitude, and clarifying that being a half-partner doesn’t give her the right to make poor decisions. “I may share the business with you,” Anupama says, “but I’m your full-time mother.” She stresses that she wants the business to succeed with values like trust, respect, honesty, and hard work. If Rahi refuses to cooperate, she must still respect the authority of the senior partner. Rahi insists they’re equal partners.
Anupama replies that experience makes her the senior and that Rahi needs to prove herself through effort and capability. “If you have good ideas, we’ll listen. Until then, stay a silent partner,” she says firmly. Anupama also tells Rahi to separate her personal emotions from professional matters. Rahi pulls Toshu aside for a private conversation. Janki Behen remarks to Anupama that Rahi thrives on conflict and division. Anupama calmly responds using a parenting metaphor—that every child reacts differently to danger, and Rahi needs to learn from her own mistakes without being harmed.
Meanwhile, Prem approaches Pari, offering her sugar-free jaggery chocolates. She tells him she’s stressed about submitting her fashion designs on time. He cheers her up, suggesting she add pearl earrings to the orange dress. When she comments that men only pay attention to such details when in love, she asks if he’s in love. Prem simply smiles. Mahi overhears and smiles too.
Elsewhere, Rahi questions Toshu about how much he has earned from “Anu Ki Rasoi.” She criticizes Anupama for undervaluing his potential and claims that if she were in charge, the business would already be highly profitable. She envisions scaling the company to great heights.
Toshu admits he’s tried but never received his mother’s trust or support. Rahi assures him that she believes in him. When Pakhi confronts Rahi with a proverb about sudden kindness being suspicious, Rahi brushes it off. Dolly points out Rahi once called Toshu her brother, while Baa sarcastically says she’s treating a donkey like her father—offending Toshu. Kinjal questions Rahi’s intentions, to which Rahi clarifies she’s focused on business growth, not Toshu personally. She promises to repay Anupama’s ₹10 lakh investment with interest and urges the family to support her for a better future. Everyone falls into deep thought.
Later, Pari requests Rahi to try on the orange dress for a design submission. Rahi agrees, and Pari styles her with makeup and pearl accessories. Meanwhile, Mahi also finds an orange dress and dresses up with makeup. While Pari is busy, Rahi walks out and accidentally bumps into Prem—they both fall onto Baa’s swing. Prem is mesmerized and momentarily fantasizes about kissing her. Rahi snaps him out of it, and just then, Mahi and Anupama arrive. Mahi angrily accuses Rahi of being careless around Prem. Although Prem insists it was an accident, Mahi accuses Rahi of manipulating people like she does Anupama.
Rahi fires back, asking if Mahi ever considered her point of view. Mahi leaves in frustration, and Anupama walks away silently too. Rahi sits on the swing while Prem secretly admires her and takes her photo.
Anupama observes Mahi and discusses her changes with Janki Behen. She notes that Mahi seems different lately. Janki worries about Rahi’s influence. But Anupama believes Rahi, as Anuj Kapadia’s daughter, is bold and ambitious, and that her anger can be channeled positively—just like her own drive to prove herself to Vanraj once did. She’s hopeful Rahi will channel her emotions productively.
Meanwhile, Toshu talks to a wholesale dealer, planning to replace the current vendor and pocket a commission. Kinjal warns him not to be manipulated by Rahi and to think wisely.
Rahi speaks with Janki Behen about packaging customer orders in steel boxes and asks about their ration supplier. Prem watches Rahi and admires her picture again. Mahi approaches him, but he gets a call from a mysterious “Khalnayak,” which he ignores. Mahi asks if he’s upset. Prem lies about NGO calls but compliments her orange dress. Rahi then tells Prem to deliver food.
Prem later confesses to Kaveri and Gauri that he has fallen in love with Rahi. Just then, he receives another call from Khalnayak, becomes annoyed, and flings grass in frustration—which lands near Rahi. She teases him about having a girlfriend. Prem denies it, saying he’s a one-woman man. Rahi jokingly checks if something’s wrong with him and invites him to the market.
As Prem daydreams about dancing with her, Rahi snaps him back to reality. “Where were you lost?” she asks. “In your thoughts,” he replies. “What?” she asks again, surprised.
