Saras and Kumud update Saturday 10 May 2025

saras and kumud

The episode opens with Badimaa instructing Kalika to cook something special to welcome Kabir, as it’s his first visit. Kalika, visibly annoyed, vents her frustration to Yash’s mother, saying she can’t tolerate all this anymore and refuses to be silent like her. She complains that no one consulted them before bringing Kabir into the house and walks away, leaving Yash’s mother upset.

Meanwhile, Saras offers tea to Vidyachatur and reminds him that although the family is going through a tough phase, it’s crucial to deliver the consignment on time. He asks him to sign some documents and assures him he’ll inspect the samples as a formality. Kabir quietly overhears their conversation. Vidyachatur then calls Kabir over.

Kabir, pretending to be restless, tells them he’s unable to sleep. Vidyachatur says it’s natural in a new place. Kabir asks Saras about his father’s condition. Saras replies that there’s no change, but he’s hopeful. Saras then says he’s heading to the hospital as Kumud is alone there. Vidyachatur adds that every night he goes to sleep hoping Laxminandan will return. Kabir thinks to himself that Laxminandan won’t be coming back anytime soon, as he has put him into a state worse than death.

Elsewhere, Ghuman sees Danny doing Saras’s chores and sarcastically asks if he’s become his servant. Danny replies that she should be happy he’s acting responsible now. Ghuman mocks him for ironing someone else’s clothes. Danny clarifies they belong to his brother. Ghuman snaps that Saras is not related to them. Danny says it’s not his fault. She bitterly responds that it must be theirs then. Danny apologizes, but she tells him he’s changed and thanks God that he didn’t marry a local girl. She warns she’ll take him away before he makes such a mistake.

Kumud and Saras arrive, and Ghuman taunts that Danny should even polish their shoes if he wants. Danny tries to brush it off, saying Ghuman is in a bad mood. Kumud says she just needs some time to adjust.

The next morning, Ghuman goes jogging, but a black cat crosses her path. A woman warns her to stop, saying it’s a bad omen that could affect her family. Ghuman scoffs and says she’s from Dubai. The woman insists, and Ghuman stands still. Kabir arrives and jokes that even the cat forgot about crossing her path. He teasingly says she’ll be stuck there all day. Ghuman waits for someone else to pass, and Kabir crosses the path himself, calling her strange.

Later, Ghuman tries to pay a coconut vendor with a Rs. 500 note, but he refuses to accept it. Kabir steps in and pays for her. She tells him there was no need. He casually asks about Laxminandan’s condition. Ghuman replies that thanks to him, her husband is in a coma. A group of boys ogle at her, and she taunts Kabir, asking if he won’t beat them. Kabir says they were admiring her, calling her stunning. She says her son is their age. He flirts, saying she looks half her age and leaves after saying he’ll see her soon.

Back at home, Kumud offers Ghuman oats for breakfast and greets her politely. Ghuman, with a sly smile, praises Kumud’s beauty and long neck, sarcastically implying that’s how she managed to trap Saras twice. Kumud is hurt by the remark and walks away. Saras stops her and asks what Ghuman said. Kumud tries to brush it off, but he confronts Ghuman. Kumud quickly intervenes and says Ghuman was complimenting her and it’s a minor saas-bahu matter. Saras walks off reluctantly while Ghuman smirks.

Kumud later tries to calm Saras. He tells her not to hide things from him and promises not to let anyone mistreat her. Kumud says every relationship needs time. Saras insists that Ghuman means nothing to him. Kumud says she respects every bond and will handle things, especially if he’s by her side. Saras says he can’t bear to see her hurt. Kumud says with her Saras beside her, pain doesn’t feel like pain.

Danny rushes in, informing them that the client rejected all their samples, claiming they don’t match specifications. Saras is shocked and asks him to recheck. Vidyachatur contacts the client and gets worried when the manager refuses to speak. Kumud says they have a right to an explanation. Vidyachatur says since they’re new in the business, powerful clients are dismissive. Saras realizes the situation is serious—without this order, they can’t pay workers, and the business could collapse.

Kabir looks at the samples and praises their quality. He reveals that he runs an import-export business and offers to help them sell the consignment. Everyone is surprised and pleased. Saras asks if he’s serious. Kabir confirms and inquires if the entire order is ready. Vidyachatur says yes and expresses gratitude, saying God sent Kabir to their home. He adds that Laxminandan would have been proud. Saras thanks Kabir, calling it yet another favor. He adds that he trusts Kabir wouldn’t intentionally hurt anyone.
