Saras and Kumud update Monday 23 June 2025

The episode begins with Saras lost in thoughts about Kumud. Meanwhile, Kumud is locked inside a room, crying. Both of them feel incomplete and empty without each other. Saras recalls her words and how she had placed a burning diya (lamp) in her hands before leaving home that day. Filled with longing, he talks to her photograph and hugs it tightly, confessing that he cannot live without her.

The scene shifts to the morning, where Danny is troubled and upset, thinking about Saras and Kusum. Ghuman arrives with a file and some tea, urging him to review the documents. Curious, Danny asks what it is, and upon seeing the file, he is shocked. Ghuman reveals that the papers pertain to Vidyachatur’s haveli, but the property is now under her name. She explains that she plans to take possession of the haveli and reclaim it, thanking Kabir for his help.

Danny questions how the haveli came under Ghuman’s name. She explains that Vidyachatur had taken a large loan from Laxminandan and failed to repay it. With their relationships strained and respect lost, she believes it’s justified to inform Vidyachatur about the situation.

Back at Vidyachatur’s place, he instructs an inspector to find Kumud, but Kabir tries to calm him down. Badimaa reassures everyone that Saras will bring Kumud back soon. Yash’s mother comments that Kumud hasn’t harmed anyone and will return safely, though Kalika suspects she is now siding with Kumud.

Ghuman arrives with Danny and the file, drawing everyone’s attention. Badimaa confronts her, questioning why she has come again to accuse their daughters. Ghuman asserts that this is her house—she is Laxminandan’s wife, and since Danny has severed ties with Kusum, she is no longer connected to them. She declares that legally, the haveli belongs solely to her now, leaving everyone stunned.

Meanwhile, Saras and Majnu wait anxiously for Kumud in a park. Majnu wonders where the police are, and Saras replies that they are nearby. Suddenly, some goons arrive in a car carrying a girl under a veil (ghunghat). Samru brings the girl to Saras, and the inspector steps forward. Samru insists that Saras meet the girl only in their presence. Majnu urges not to waste time, mentioning they’ve already paid Sunanda enough money.

Vidyachatur warns Ghuman not to speak nonsense about the haveli, but she retorts that he shouldn’t expect his loan to be forgiven as a favor. She reveals that she brought the property papers with her, hoping it will remind him of reality.

Saras holds the girl’s hand, believing she might be Kumud, but immediately senses she is not Kumud. The inspector grabs Samru, accusing him of kidnapping Saras’s wife based on information they received. Samru calls Saras mad. The inspector demands to see the girl’s face, and to their shock, it’s not Kumud but Kajal. The inspector questions her identity.

Back at Vidyachatur’s house, he insists that the papers Ghuman has are fake, and he possesses the original documents. Ghuman declares that they are now the true owners of the haveli. She reminds him that although she has stayed quiet for many days, they have insulted her repeatedly over the past 20 years. Vidyachatur expresses regret for not revealing Ghuman’s true nature to his friend earlier. Danny feels hurt by these harsh words.

Vidyachatur accuses Ghuman of exploiting her husband’s illness and declares that the haveli belongs to them. He orders her to leave with the fake papers. Ghuman challenges him, saying that unless he shows the original papers, he and his family must vacate the house.

Kalika admires Ghuman’s boldness. The inspector questions Samru about Kumud’s whereabouts, but Samru lies. Kajal explains she knows these people and came to meet Sheikh on her own will. The inspector warns Sheikh and Saras before leaving. Majnu questions Samru about the deception and Kumud’s location, but Samru deflects, saying Sunanda will provide answers.

Vidyachatur searches his cupboard for the original papers but can’t find them. Kusum helps him look but they come up empty-handed. He anxiously informs Badimaa that the documents are missing. Guniyal volunteers to check upstairs but returns without success. They head to Ghuman, but Yash’s mother demands to see the papers to silence their doubts.

Vidyachatur accuses Ghuman of staging a drama, claiming she stole the original papers and replaced them with fakes. He admits he tried to maintain family relations but won’t tolerate this anymore. Ghuman shouts back, telling him this is her house now and orders him to take his belongings and leave. Everyone is shocked by her authority.

She asks if he will leave willingly or if she should call the police. She looks at Danny, who surprisingly supports his mother. Danny agrees, saying they must leave since the house is no longer theirs. Kusum breaks down in tears.

Danny adds that until they find a new home, they can stay temporarily. Ghuman is stunned and shoots Danny an angry glance.

Later, Saras arrives with Majnu to meet Sunanda. Majnu accuses Sunanda of cheating them by sending Kajal instead of Kumud. Sunanda admits to the deception. Majnu questions her why she made promises then. Sunanda says she didn’t anticipate the police arriving and even starts to doubt Saras.
