Anupama update Thursday 27 February 2025

Anupama:  The episode begins with Anupama approaching Anuj and adjusting his collar. Anuj gazes at her as she buttons his shirt, reminiscing about the time she stitched a button for him. A romantic song plays in the background—Saari Raat—but the moment turns out to be Anuj’s imagination. Snapping back to reality, Anupama asks what’s wrong. Anuj, brushing it off, says he’s getting late and leaves.

Before he goes, Anupama feeds him curd and sugar, assuring him that everything will be fine. Anuj responds with confidence, saying things will work out as long as his Anupama is with him.

Meanwhile, in his sleep, Sagar murmurs his love for Meenu, pleading with her not to be upset as he had always intended to confess his feelings. As Anupama approaches, Bala enters Sagar’s room, locks the door, and wakes him up, questioning why he drove an auto all night. Sagar, burdened with guilt, admits he couldn’t sleep. Bala teases him about saying Meenu’s name in his sleep, explaining that’s why he locked the door. Sagar wonders if he’s unsuitable for Meenu, but Bala reminds him that society doesn’t accept relationships between the rich and poor. Unwilling to give up, Sagar declares he won’t forget Meenu. Bala encourages him to fight for his love and confide in Anupama. Sagar agrees but insists that Dolly Aunty must remain quiet for now.

Dolly, on the other hand, scolds Meenu for cleaning a glass and fusses over her well-being. She insists that Meenu should focus on her education and career. When Meenu questions what happens to her happiness, Dolly warns that for poor men, wealthy women are merely a lottery ticket. Meenu defends Sagar, saying he rejected her initially, but she pursued him. Dolly remains skeptical, accusing Anupama of teaching Sagar tactics to win her over. Meenu denies this, revealing that even Anupama was unaware of her feelings for Sagar. Dolly argues that Sagar only seeks a comfortable life funded by Meenu’s wealth. Meenu reminds her that Anupama raised her, enabling her to pursue a career. Hurt by her mother’s words, Meenu asks how she can be so selfish. In response, Dolly sternly warns her, stating that as her mother, she will ensure she marries a doctor.

Kinjal intervenes, asking Meenu if she truly loves Sagar. When Meenu confirms, Kinjal advises her to confide in Anupama, as having her support would mean winning half the battle.

Elsewhere, Aadhya asks Mahi to bring her books from the Shah house so she can help her study. Anupama fondly recalls how Choti had a special connection with children, often taking care of orphans, and expresses happiness that she’s returning to her old self. Indra reassures her that everything will eventually fall into place. Meanwhile, Nandita urges Anupama to accept Anuj’s proposal.

Bala approaches Anupama, asking if she knows how to prepare South Indian dishes. He mentions that Onam is the next day and, despite missing his family, believes they are happier without him. Offering her banana halwa, he shares his nostalgia. Anupama agrees to prepare a feast. Meanwhile, Anuj messages her, informing her that he’s heading for a job interview. Anupama checks the time and rushes off to the nearby mall. Aadhya and Mahi wish her luck, and she thanks them.

At the interview, the employer expresses disbelief that a renowned businessman like Anuj has come seeking a job. Anuj humbly explains that he is here for employment, not status. The interviewer, acknowledging that he has learned business strategies from Anuj himself, still expresses reservations. Anuj, reflecting on his past, explains that he was never arrogant when he sat on the other side of the table, nor is he ashamed to ask for work now. However, the interviewer brings up rumors that Anuj had lost his mental balance and wandered the streets like a hermit, while Ankush Kapadia took over his company.

Anuj, acknowledging the truth, asserts that Ankush is not running the company but ruining it. He expresses determination to reclaim what he built. Despite his willingness to be tested for the position, the interviewer hesitates, worried that having such a big businessman in his company could lead to leaks of trade secrets. Despite Anuj’s insistence, the interviewer refuses and apologizes.

Dejected, Anuj later sits alone at a temple, deep in thought. Just then, a paper rocket with the word START written on it lands beside him. He looks up to see Anupama, who explains that she figured he would be there after visiting the mall. When Anuj inquires about her job search, Anupama optimistically shares that she might have found work. Anuj, encouraged, smiles and says, “Let’s start.” They walk forward together as Anuj contemplates poetry.

The next day, Bala steps outside Asha Bhavan, intending to visit the temple and pray for everyone. To his surprise, he finds the place beautifully decorated with floral designs and rangoli. Everyone arrives dressed in traditional South Indian attire. Bala, delighted, asks if they are ready to celebrate Onam. Indra confirms, and Aadhya adds that Anuj and Anupama are still getting dressed. Bala excitedly takes selfies with Indra.

Meanwhile, Baa and Kinjal prepare for the festival. Baa worries about Toshu’s reaction, but Kinjal insists they won’t stop celebrating just because he disapproves. Since Anupama invited them, they decide to go. Baa, still concerned, asks about Dolly. Kinjal replies that Dolly has chosen not to attend. She calls the children, and they leave.

Elsewhere, Anuj, standing before a mirror, stylishly puts on his glasses. He watches Anupama as she fixes her hair, admiring her beauty. He walks up to her and gestures that she looks stunning. Taking a pinch of kajal, he dabs it behind her ear to ward off the evil eye. Smiling, Anupama does the same for him.

Anuj whispers, “How can someone look so beautiful?”

Anupama playfully responds, “How can someone look so handsome?”

Just then, Aadhya calls for her. Anupama mentions that she has prepared rava laddoo. Anuj teases her, saying she has a habit of fooling people while pretending to be innocent—especially when she knows someone is madly in love with her. He recites poetry, making her blush.

As she prepares to leave, Anuj smiles and says, “I have waited before, and I will wait again.”
