Anupama update Thursday 12 June 2025

The episode begins with Prem expressing that it’s alright if he never wins Mahi’s love; he is prepared to live with that pain. He tells Rahi that just as she is stubborn, so is he. Just as she couldn’t become his, he couldn’t become Mahi’s. Rahi pleads with him to do it for their mother, warning that if something happens to Mahi, their mother could die from the shock. She urges Prem to agree, but he gently lets go of her hand and walks away.

Meanwhile, Baa scolds Anupama for allowing a young man to stay in their house, reminding her that her intention was to open a dharamshala. Toshu adds that if anything had gone wrong, they would be responsible. Dolly says Kavya would have sent them to jail for that. Anupama asks them to stop with the accusations and points out how obvious it is how much everyone cares for Mahi. Baa claims they do care as well. Anupama challenges them, asking if any of them have comforted Mahi or even inquired about how she is feeling. Ansh blames Prem for the situation.

Anupama defends Prem, explaining that Mahi often acts out of frustration because of him and insists it’s not his fault. She also says Mahi’s behavior is understandable given her age. Pakhi accuses Prem of treating both Rahi and Mahi casually and suggests Anupama question Rahi about it. Rahi overhears this and warns Pakhi not to provoke her into misbehaving and to stop blaming their mother for everything. Anupama promises to speak to Mahi once things calm down, and until then, no one will say anything to her.

Later, Rahi approaches Anupama, who admits feeling helpless. She wants to give Mahi all the happiness in the world but doesn’t know how to make Prem love her in return. Rahi suggests that maybe Prem does have feelings for Mahi and was only speaking out of anger. Anupama asks if Rahi has overheard anything from Prem, wanting to know if he truly cares for Mahi. She confides that she can’t get the image out of her mind of Mahi trying to drown and pushing Rahi away so she wouldn’t save her. Anupama fears what might happen to Mahi, knowing she is precious to someone. She regrets not talking to Prem earlier when Mahi had urged her to. She blames herself and fears the worst if anything happens to Mahi.

Rahi comforts her with a hug and encourages her to drink water, then feeds her something to eat. Anupama rests her head on Rahi’s lap as Rahi softly sings a lullaby.

Anupama then decides to check on Mahi, but Rahi insists that Anupama rest while she goes instead. Anupama thanks her. Rahi finds Mahi sleeping peacefully and tells her not to worry, reassuring her that everything will be alright and that Prem will come to her. She places a brooch on Mahi’s pillow, telling her even Lord Kanha wishes for Prem and Mahi to be together, and becomes emotional as she gently rests her head on Mahi’s.

Prem arrives home and finds Anupama resting. She opens her eyes and calls out for Mahi, asking if Prem is really leaving forever and telling him to be happy. Prem breaks down in tears and rests his head on her lap. Anupama tells him she can’t force Mahi to stop loving him or force him to love her, but insists it’s not his fault. Prem explains he has always treated Mahi just like Pari, Ishu, and Ansh, never encouraging her feelings. Anupama acknowledges this but says Mahi misunderstood because everyone isn’t the same with her. She confesses she doesn’t want Prem to leave but doesn’t know how to stop him. She urges him to be happy.

As Prem turns to leave, he recalls Rahi’s words and asks Anupama if he can speak to Mahi, saying he understands the pain of love. Anupama agrees and prays to Lord Kanha to make things right. Rahi hugs Anupama and encourages her to stay positive, saying that Prem might already like Mahi and that friendship is the first step to love. She believes Prem will come to love Mahi and urges Anupama to keep hope alive.

Prem finds Mahi upset, clutching a teddy bear, and urges himself to stay calm. He knocks on her door and calls out to her. Anupama reflects that the pain of girls is immense but often overlooked is the pain and helplessness boys feel. She worries about Prem, knowing he has done no wrong but carries guilt. She fears what would have happened if Mahi had been harmed, saying Prem’s life would have been ruined. She reminds that feelings cannot be forced and breaking a heart is never easy. She doesn’t want Prem to be forced into anything or act out of sympathy, since that is not love.

Prem gives Mahi some money as sadqa (charity) for her protection and sits down, admitting he never understood what his mistake was or when he went wrong. He apologizes for not realizing when she developed feelings for him. Mahi says she herself didn’t realize when she fell for him and confesses she can’t imagine her life without him—it means everything to her. Prem firmly apologizes if he ever gave her false hope, but swears he has no romantic feelings for her. Mahi asks him what flaws she has that make him not love her. Prem tells her “enough,” signaling the painful conversation must end.
