Saras and Kumud update Thursday 12 June 2025

The episode opens with Kabir having a conversation with Ghuman. He tells her that Danny will soon be hers and will be leaving for Dubai. Ghuman, pleased, says she’ll be grateful if Kabir makes it happen. Kabir reminds her of the promise she made him. Ghuman asks what he wants in return. He tells her that he’ll ask for it at the right time and expects her to honor her word. She agrees, saying she can wait. Kabir replies that she must be special then and asks for some time. Ghuman smiles and says they’ll have plenty of time after she completes her work, then leaves.

Menka arrives and informs Kabir that she has found the perfect man for Ghuman, confirming she’s now caught in their plan. She laughs and tells Kabir their real mission is much more significant. Kabir agrees, stating that what’s right is what truly matters.

Meanwhile, Kumud arrives at a dance club. Inside, a man tells someone named Sunanda that a woman has come looking for her old friend. The man steps away, and Sunanda asks Kumud what she wants to know. Kumud walks up to her and mentions Ghuman’s name. Sunanda immediately becomes furious and shocked, turning to confront Kumud. She angrily asks why Kumud would even speak that name in front of her, saying Ghuman was not a woman, but poison. She refuses to discuss her and asks Kumud to leave, pointing her to the door.

Kumud pleads with her, explaining she has come from far away and that only Sunanda can help her. Still, Sunanda tells her to go. As Kumud starts to leave, Sunanda reflects on her reaction, and Kumud adds that Ghuman may be Sunanda’s past, but she is Kumud’s present—and only Sunanda can help prevent her family from falling apart. Overcome with emotion, Kumud begins to cry. Moved by her tears, Sunanda calls out and stops her.

Sunanda warns Kumud that in her line of work, she sees lies every day and can easily spot them. Kumud insists she’s telling the truth. Sunanda demands she look her in the eyes and reveal her identity and connection to Ghuman. Kumud, recalling moments with Ghuman, Kabir, and Menka, finally admits, “I am her daughter-in-law.” Shocked, Sunanda listens as Kumud clarifies that she isn’t here to tarnish Ghuman’s name, but to uncover the truth that is threatening her family. Sunanda asks whether Kumud is referring to Ghuman’s biological or stepson, hinting that she has known Ghuman since childhood. She comments that Kumud’s face reflects how dangerous Ghuman still is.

Back at home, Kusum suggests they wait just a few more minutes for Kumud’s return. Just then, the doorbell rings. Kabir enters, holding a file for Saras. He notices the worried faces and asks what happened. Saras explains that Kumud went to a friend’s mehendi function and hasn’t returned. Vidyachatur adds that they are delaying the aarti until she comes. He invites Kabir to join them. A moment later, Menka arrives, and Ghuman smiles upon seeing Kabir.

Saras tries calling Kumud but finds her phone switched off. He wonders where she could be. Meanwhile, Sunanda asks Kumud what she wants to know. Kumud senses Sunanda’s anger toward Ghuman and believes she’ll finally get the truth. She requests Sunanda to reveal everything she knows about Ghuman.

Sunanda tells her to wait, explaining that it’s Choti Navratri and time for aarti. She invites Kumud to join her. Kumud says her family is likely worried and asks to charge her phone. Sunanda agrees. As Kumud charges her phone, her family continues to worry at home. Saras admits he has no idea where she might be. Ghuman, annoyed, insists that the aarti must begin on time and tells Kusum to start. Everyone hesitates, but Guniyal supports Ghuman’s decision. Kusum agrees, and they begin the aarti.

Back at Sunanda’s, she performs aarti while Kumud joins in, praying silently. Simultaneously, Saras prays for Kumud’s safety, asking for her swift return. Kumud, from afar, assures him that she’s coming soon. Vidyachatur asks Saras what they should do next. Saras is confused and unsure. Guniyal tells him to stay strong. Kusum says she knows all of Kumud’s friends, but none mentioned any wedding. Saras decides to start calling them to find out the truth. Ghuman watches silently.

After calling Kumud’s friends, the family discovers that no one knows about any mehendi or wedding. Guniyal, alarmed, wonders where Kumud could have gone. Saras questions why Kumud would lie to them and says they need to search for her immediately. Kabir offers to help and leaves with Saras. Kusum urges Danny to go with them, and he follows. Ghuman observes the scene silently, her expression unreadable.
