Jhanak update Friday 9 May 2025

The episode begins with Shrishti saying she hadn’t thought about things that way. Brij shifts the conversation to work and asks if she would consider teaching his daughter. Shrishti declines. Brij expresses it would’ve been ideal if she had agreed. Jhanak then pleads to attend Shrishti’s group classes, saying she wants to learn and requests her not to refuse. Shrishti asks why it has to be her.

Brij insists that no one can teach Jhanak better than Shrishti. Vinayak curiously asks why Brij has such strong belief. Brij replies that he will reveal the reason when the time is right. Vinayak suspects there’s a hidden truth. Brij agrees, saying that life needs some secrets. Shrishti refuses again, saying she doesn’t have the time. Brij suggests that Jhanak can still learn from afar and that she will also get to see Arshi perform at the event—adding that since both girls dance, they are like sisters. Shrishti is surprised by the “sister” remark. Vinayak silently observes that there may be a long-standing connection between Shrishti and Brij. He invites them to eat, but Brij refuses and leaves.

Elsewhere, Lal mocks Anjana. Bablu gets furious and scolds both Lal and Bipasha, questioning whether Anjana is expected to do all the household chores. Tanuja and Shubh argue back. Just then, Anjana enters from the kitchen and lashes out at Lal and Bipasha. Bipasha, feeling attacked, claims she’s being treated like a maid and threatens to leave the house. Bablu retorts, asking whether Anjana isn’t being treated like a maid too. Bipasha announces she’s going to her maternal home and leaves. Lal blames Bablu for the situation. Bablu warns him not to mistreat his mother. Lal storms off, humiliated.

Dadi enters and overhears the commotion. She inquires about Bipasha’s tears. Tanuja explains that Bablu and Anjana were harsh with her. Dadi tries to calm everyone. She reflects on how she had no objection when Anirudh brought Jhanak home and even convinced her husband to accept it. However, she now feels betrayed because Jhanak lied about being married to Anirudh. Shubh adds that Jhanak acted superior. Dadi blames Jhanak for Anirudh’s accident and for all the chaos that followed, including Tejas’s appearance. Tanuja complains that Anirudh always receives support, while they raised Lal like their own. Bablu counters that Lal treats Anjana like a servant. Shubh denies this. Dadi intervenes and tells everyone to stop arguing. Bipasha reappears with her bags.

Shubh tries to stop her. He asks Bablu if he really wants Bipasha to leave. Bipasha says she’s leaving by choice. Shubh urges Bablu to apologize and convince her to stay. Even Lal insists. Dadi steps in and asks Bablu to stop Bipasha. He apologizes, and Bipasha, still upset, coldly accepts. Dadi consoles her and instructs Lal to take her inside. Once everyone leaves, Bipasha wipes away her fake tears and sips water. Lal calls her a drama queen. Tanuja admits she was scared. Bipasha admits she never planned to leave. Shubh says this incident will help Anjana and Bablu understand their perspective.

Meanwhile, Lalon visits the commissioner’s office. Inspector Deepak speaks to him, followed by ACP Ganguly, who informs him that the commissioner had to leave for an urgent meeting and asked Ganguly to step in. Lalon reveals that Jhanak’s body had been discovered in the lake but is now missing. He hands over a photograph showing a car being pushed by two men, taken by his photographer friend. He insists one of the men is Tejas. The inspector says Tejas wasn’t in the city that day, but Lalon counters that Tejas was definitely in Kolkata. Ganguly acknowledges Lalon’s right to present his view. Lalon then shares that lookalikes of Jhanak and Guruji have appeared, and he narrates everything.

Shubh receives a call from the inspector, who tells him about Lalon’s accusations and confidence regarding Tejas’s presence in Kolkata. Shubh asks if Lalon is still there. When the inspector confirms, Shubh instructs Bablu to stop Lalon from getting further involved. Bablu says that may be difficult. Shubh warns that Lalon is making enemies, and those enemies have already threatened him. He urges Bablu to keep Lalon grounded.

Brij and Jhanak meet a lawyer. Brij says he’s finally ready to reveal the truth and needs a reliable ally, as his life is in danger. He mentions having already informed his daughter and is determined to proceed. The lawyer advises caution and recommends involving the police. Jhanak becomes emotional, saying she will go away. Brij describes her as innocent and expresses regret over not being there for her. The lawyer then asks questions for clarity.

Brij confirms that Nutan is Jhanak, and she is his daughter with Shrishti. He says Urvashi raised her. Jhanak affirms that Urvashi is her true mother and admits she resents Shrishti. Brij says it’s now their responsibility to reveal the truth. The lawyer asks if Brij truly wants the world to know. Brij responds yes—he wants everyone to know that he is Jhanak’s biological father, that he is the real Brij Bhushan, and that his brother Kul Bhushan must be punished. He says Urvashi, Jhanak, and himself have all suffered too long.
