Saras and Kumud

The episode opens with Kumud asking Kabir why he came to Ratnagiri. Kabir replies that he had an old business deal pending and came to finalize it. Saras asks, “Old deal?” Kabir replies that it’s a long story and he’ll share it another time. Ghuman observes him silently.

Kabir mentions that he’s scheduled to show some samples to his client and hopes to close the deal soon. Saras thanks him. Ghuman, meanwhile, suspects Kabir is clever and scheming. While serving dinner, she deliberately spills hot curry on Kabir’s hand, burning him. Kumud rushes to get ice. Saras asks how it happened, and Ghuman says Kabir seemed distracted. Kabir agrees and sits down again to continue dinner.

Elsewhere, Kalika receives a call from the local thug. She becomes anxious, knowing if she ignores him, he might come to the house. To pacify Yash, she sweetly offers him water and helps him take off his shoes, even offering to massage his head. Yash is pleased and says she’s behaving like his old Kalika.

She says her love won’t change, even when they have kids. Yash excitedly asks if there’s any good news. Kalika denies it but says maybe there could be soon, though she quickly adds she doesn’t want children—it’s too expensive. She pitches a bank scheme to him: invest ₹2 lakhs and get ₹2 crores.

Yash says they don’t have that kind of money and warns her not to get greedy. When he again asks about the baby, she complains of a headache. Yash goes out to get her medicine. Kalika dreams big and starts plotting another way.

Meanwhile, Kabir visits Laxminandan in the ICU and speaks bitterly to his unconscious form. He says he grew up counting Laxminandan’s sins and now intends to make him pay. He adds that he has been paying for those sins his whole life.

Just then, Kumud enters and overhears the last part. She questions Kabir about whose sins he was referring to. Saras joins them and asks Kabir what he’s doing there. Kabir quickly covers up, saying he was telling Laxminandan not to blame himself for Kabir’s own mistakes. Saras tells him not to feel guilty and forgive himself. Kabir says he just wanted to meet Laxminandan and leaves.

Back at home, Ghuman searches for Danny. Meanwhile, Danny meets Kusum and tells her they had planned to enjoy life after Saras’s wedding but everything changed after his father’s accident. He also mentions how things have changed since Ghuman came, as they’re no longer living together. Ghuman calls him and hears Badimaa’s voice in the background, which makes her furious. She yells, “He is my son, not Saras!”

Later, Saras finds Kumud deep in thought and asks her what’s on her mind. Kumud expresses concern about Kabir. She says it’s strange how he came into their lives just two days ago and now he’s staying at her father’s house, working with them, and sharing meals—yet they know nothing about him.

She feels things are moving too fast. Saras replies that from the moment he met Kabir, he didn’t feel like a stranger and feels a unique connection with him. He tells Kumud not to doubt Kabir. Just then, Saras receives a call from Kabir about the consignment. He tells Kumud he’ll drop her home and then meet Kabir.

At home, Badimaa offers Danny fresh orange juice and promises to make him hot rotis. Kusum shares that while praying to Lord Krishna for Laxminandan’s recovery, she felt peace, as if her prayers were heard. Danny agrees and says their future together will be happy, living peacefully with her parents.

At that moment, Ghuman walks in and is shocked to see Kusum holding Danny’s hand and resting her head on his shoulder. She loudly questions them, drawing everyone’s attention. Ghuman accuses Kusum of trying to trap her second son and claims she now has proof of her suspicions. Kusum bursts into tears.

Ghuman then points at Kusum’s sindoor and mangalsutra, asking if she’s married. Everyone becomes tense. Ghuman cruelly mocks her for being married yet emotionally close to Danny. Danny tries to stop his mother, but she refuses to listen and demands answers. She recalls old grudges and sarcastically asks what she should now call Kumud’s sister.

Kusum, unable to take it anymore, finally says that her mangalsutra and sindoor were given to her by her husband. When she tries to reveal more, everyone gestures her to stop. Kusum adds that she was with Danny because he is her friend and someone she trusts—nothing more. Kumud steps in and tells Kusum not to explain herself.

Ghuman lashes out, saying she has every right to keep her son away from girls like Kusum. She asks why Kusum is still living in her parents’ home—did her husband leave her? Badimaa steps in angrily and warns Ghuman to speak to the elders, not the young girls, if she has questions. She assures Ghuman that answers will be given, but in due time. Ghuman then warns them to keep Kusum away from Danny or she’ll shame them publicly. She drags Danny away.

On the way, Danny tells Ghuman she crossed a line—that Kumud’s family is their family too. Ghuman retorts that he only says that because Saras married Kumud. In her fury, she wonders who the unfortunate family is that accepted the cunning Kusum as their daughter-in-law. Danny defends Kusum, but Ghuman warns him once again to stay away from her, insisting it’s for his own good.
